Roadway Moving

I highly recommend Roadway. Every part of the horribleness that is moving was made easier, starting with getting a quote with Ken on the phone. He was detailed and gave very helpful advice on packing. Avi and his crew were on time, effective and efficient in loading and unloading my belongings. When there was a delay in delivery, they simply apologized and gave me a discount. An upfront and honest company.

Absolutely perfect. The estimator Ben previewed the job and gave me a firm quote for the move. The were no extra or hidden charges. I called around for estimates and hands down Roadway had the best pricing for a white-​glove move. Customer service was great in answering all my pre-​move questions. Lastly, the moving crew are a 5 star team. Ionut, Doru, Zurita and Petrici from #15 were the best. The guys are really nice and communicated with me the entire time. Ionut texted update and questions which gave me peace of mind. They wasted no time and treated my furniture with extra care. Everything arrived perfectly. I have no complaints and highly recommend Roadway and the crew mentioned above.

I moved with Roadway moving last month. Everything went as planed, just as I was hoping for.
Another company gave me a bit better quota but I decided to go with them because of the reviews and I am very happy that I did.

These guys know what they’re doing. Super professional, easy to communicate with and just an all around great experience. I set up a move very last minute and Ross, the owner, was so accommodating and got the whole thing set up on the fly.
Moving is no easy or stress free task but Mario and his team of movers swooped in and got all my stuff out of my (ugh 3^rd floor walk up!) and into my storage unit all within 2 hours. They operated like a well oiled machine and I will definitely call them in a few months when I move the stuff out of storage.
They have gained a customer for life.

As we all know, moving can be a stressful experience. To our unexpected surprise this was not what we encountered wth Roadway. We had the team led by Avi with Eric, Dennis and Dori for a move on 1÷29÷16. They were excellent, careful, focused and untiring. They were also pleasant, reliable, efficient and polite. The service was outstanding as they made sure that we were pleased. Finally, they were extremely honest as they pointed out that we had over tipped them. We are sure to use Roadway again.

I’ve moved probably 10 times in my life and Roadway is definitely the best. Responsive, friendly service and the movers themselves were such a delight. Francisco, Miguel, and Diego are wonderful people and I’m so glad they moved me in today! Could not have gone better. Thank you.

Thank you, Mitch and Juan (I didn’t get the name of your third), for making this move so smooth! They were wonderful. They took my very complicated custom made platform bed apart and put it back together on the other side. I would definitely use these guys again. The company should give them a raise!

They helped me move long distance from Manhattan Ny to San Jose California a year ago. It is such a pleasure to find a great company like roadway and the whole service has been just wonderful.
If you are moving long distance across states, you would know their price is fairly reasonable and they don’t charge for more than they promised. The guy I was in contact with was so friendly and followed up with me on quotes in break downs, and explained in detail. I believe his name is Ken. Make sure to ask for Ken if you are in NY.
The packing and unpacking was very professional and fast!
I would have given the company a solid 5 stars, The manager of the delivery team was very rude on the phone. I couldn’t really understand him in the phone with all the background noises, so I asked him to repeat himself. he came off to me just rude for no reason. I still tipped every guy a decent amount for their good work.

If I could give Roadway Moving more than 5 stars I would! They moved me in the middle of Winter Storm Jonas during which time New York City got 2 feet of snow with winds of up to 35 miles per hour! I would have given them 5 stars just for showing up in those conditions, but on top of that the crew was excellent and just true professionals! I can honestly say this was the smoothest move I have ever had. .. and it was during a blizzard. I am so grateful to Roadway Moving and would recommend them to anyone and everyone!

Here is what I think:
If it looks great, it sounds great, and everybody writes that it’s great then — it’s GREAT!
On the day of the move the crew showed up clean & uniformed and in a brand new truck.
We had read reviews online and knew we’d hired a reliable company to move us yet we still feel that our crew exceeded expectations, they did EVERYTHING to please us, and always with a smile and a positive attitude!
Everything was packed and wrapped quickly, thoroughly and professionally — needless to say not even one single damage!
Every time we called the office, a courteous rep picked up the phone and addressed any question or concern we had.
Opposed to a lot of companies out there, with Roadway it was easier and faster to reach the customer service dept after the pick up date than it was to reach the sales department before we booked.
Bottom line — Roadway moving was worth every penny we paid, I usually try to find the best deal financially but when it comes to your movers the best deal you can have is a deal with a company that delivers their promises and Roadway did it BIG TIME!
We will definitely use them again and recommend to anyone we know!

Where do I start?
In a city filled with moving companies there was an endless list of options. What separates one from the other I thought? In moving you’d think it’s all the same right? Well I thought wrong. After calling around to the more common movers you see in the city I wasn’t quite sold. There were additional costs, restrictions on time, insurance paperwork and the list goes on. I didn’t really have the warmest feeling so I consulted with some friends and colleagues and it led me to roadway moving and storage. Hallelujah!
After looking at their reviews it was apparent this company set the standard for moving in NYC. It was painless from the start. After speaking with one of their representatives on the phone I knew I was in good hands. What you’d think was the most difficult and stressful process turned out to be a breeze. They provided me with a quote over the phone and assured me there were no hidden costs. Nowadays it’s difficult to find anything that doesn’t have surcharges or additional fees. Am I right?
On the day of the move I couldn’t have been happier. The movers showed up on time and packed my furniture safely to ensure it wouldn’t be damaged. Everyone was pleasant to work with and had a smile on their face the entire time. I felt very comfortable in a time that was hectic. My furniture arrived safely and was unpacked in no time.
It’s hard to find a reliable, trustworthy and honest business today. Roadway exceeded my expectations. They were amazing and I can’t say enough about them. Would highly recommend them to anyone moving in the NYC area.

Simply excellent. I moved from NYC to SF. David on the quotes team came by and gave me a fair custom quote and answered my many questions. I chose to go with a flat rate quote which included packing and unpacking, all of the boxes, and the move itself to CA. The crew came exactly when they said they would. I have their names written down somewhere and liked them so much I will edit my review when I find the paper.
My things arrived at the beginning of the window and were expertly unpacked. They even put my glasses and plates up on shelves to make things more manageable.
I can’t recommend Roadway highly enough, and would suggest their good pricing on a flat rate move. There was absolutely nothing stressful or surprising about my experience — Everything was better than expected, fair, clean, easy. Their service is impeccable, and they even called me after to ensure I was satisfied.

I’m writing this review because my Unilocal profile accidentally was deleted :(anyways I used Roadway last August and had the most positive experience. Prior to signing with them I read the Unilocal reviews which was enough for me. The estimate was perfect, arrived on time and gave a competitive «guaranteed» price, the other companies were too expensive or worked by the hour.
The movers also showed on time and went above and beyond to help. They took a lot of pride in their work and all of my furniture was delivered intact with NO damage. This was the best moving crew I’ve experienced (this was my 5^th long move).
Price out the other guys if you want but stick with facts and favorable reviews, this company is A++

I am not saying that moving is an easy experience, but everyone at Roadway moving made it as painless as they possibly could. I used the packing service also and from the moment they arrived to do the packing in the previous day, they were very effective, efficient and dedicated to their job and they finished the packing in a lot less time than I thought they would. Loading was also done in a systematic way and everything from beginning to end went without a hitch.
The customer service and office as well was impressive, from confirmation to getting the correct language on the certificate of insurance to the after move customer service everyone I have dealt with was so dedicated and professional, seems like everyone in roadway is so happy to be there!
I would thoroughly recommend them to anyone.

I moved from NJ to TX about 3 months ago. Roadway helped to make the process an easy one. Since the first time I was in communication with them, they had assigned Chris Buck to my move, and he was great! He ensured to follow up and answered all of my questions, we reviewed my move list over and over to ensure that I get the best quote for the cubic meter space that I needed.
All my items made it to TX in ONE piece and within the timeframe that I was promised. The movers did a great job packing and boxing my belongings, as well as unloading them.
If I ever move again, I’ll make sure to call Roadway.

A few months ago we hired Roadway Moving for a 2 bedroom job from New York to California. I have moved several times in my life, and this company is by far the absolute best moving service I’ve ever used.
Three people showed up in New York, we lived on the fourth floor with no elevator, that wasn’t a problem for these guys. Straight up pros, great works who never complained once, they worked like machines. They got the job done in a few short hours and were on their way. Same story with the movers that showed up in California.
We received all of our items in perfect condition. They use a labeling/​tracking system to ensure everything is accounted for. One thing I noticed, they use blankets and extra boxes on anything that could potentially get damaged, it was unbelievable the amount of attention that went in to ensuring the safety of our items.
This is a 100% honest review, I wasn’t paid to write this. If you’re looking for movers, do yourself a favor and call these guys up.
Forgot to mention, as far as pricing goes, we called up several companies and found Roadway Moving to be on the lower side in terms of costs — so that’s another plus.

These guys are awesome. Would highly recommend. We were just moving about a quarter of a mile away, but still needed someone to haul our furniture and other big stuff that my husband and I couldn’t lift/​manage alone.
Right from the start, Roadway was professional and I felt comfortable placing our stuff in their hands. Ken, our salesman, was great about explaining what was included in the price, and also gave me some tips I wouldn’t have thought of about other things I needed to do while moving.
The moving team of Ionut, Alek and Don (? sorry if I misspelled any of the names!) were prompt, professional and super fast. They actually arrived early, but they kept in communication with me to let me know, and all was well. They worked quickly and efficiently and told me not to worry that there were a few piles of stuff I hadn’t gotten to yet around the apartment. They were also willing to do a little extra for me — I expressed worry about one of my end tables, which my grandfather had made years ago. When they saw I was nervous about it, they wrapped it in a blanket AND put it inside their box of blankets so it was extra padded and would arrive safe and sound (which of course it did!).
Upon arrival, we hit a minor snag when our queen-​sized box spring didn’t fit up the stairs — the turn was too tight. The team assessed several different angles but wasn’t able to get it up there, but they gave us some recommendations for what we could do in terms of cutting it or buying a split box spring. Again, just going the extra mile. Other than that, everything was unloaded and unwrapped quickly. The whole process only took about 2.5 hours from start to finish.
I would absolutely recommend this company — they made a stressful day a little bit easier by being professional and on the ball. Thanks again to the whole team!

A year ago I moved from NYC to Montréal/​QC. Roadway took care of everything for us. They packed and organized all my furniture really well, they took care of the papers I needed for this out of country move, and provided storage for a month, until we got a place in Montréal.
It was a really smooth process, the costumer service and staff was polite and professional. The guys who came to pack and load the container were really efficient and had a good attitude. The team who made the delivery of my furniture in Montréal was from a Canadian company, but they were fine too.
Definitely worth the cost!

Just got our things picked up from Montclair, NJ moving to San Francisco. Everyone at Roadway has been great so far, from the sales rep (Joseph), to the customer service rep (James) and the moving team (Marcio, Xavier, and Paco) all have been outstanding! They did a great job packing our stuff up with wrapping and were very fast and friendly.
I’ll make another update once our things make it to California.
