Romeo’s Radical Steals and Deals

I put aside a full afternoon just to come spend my first time @ Romeo’s Radical Steals and Deals! I knew it would take me a long time to browse and it sure did. I was in there for about 45 minutes.
Firstly, it’s really hard to find the store. No signage or anything like that. It’s easy to miss. It’s two doors down from the Ricky’s store on 5^th. When I was checking out in Rickys, I had to ask them where the store was because I totally bypassed it.
It’s a pretty decently sized store. Two levels. Costumes and clothing on the 2^nd floor and make-​up, toiletries, etc. on the ground level. As soon as you walk in, to your right there is a table with free itmes. Yesterday they had free NY Street Food candles. Who wants a candle that smells like hot dogs or the like is beyond me. I understand why they were free! hah The one bearded guy, who I assume is the manager is eager to swoop down and welcome every guest that walks in. Kind of in your face and annoying but that’s okay. At least he is acknowledging the people who are giving him money.
Like others have said, this is a Ricky’s outlet store so you’re going to find yourself some great deals. Not a great variety for certain items understandably, but it’s still decent. If you enjoy ELF make-​up (I don’t), you’ll love it here. The make-​up they have the most variety of here is ELF. They do have my favorites, Stila and Smashbox, but since it’s an outlet they only have shades that no one really buys or wants. Or slightly used testers. They do have Orly and Essie nail polishes for one buck!!! That’s the biggest bargain for me here. Can’t go wrong there. Just wish they had more! They have lots of Tigi items. Got a normally $ 19.99 Bumble and Bumble Seaweed shampoo for $ 9. Beautifully scented french soap that was $ 8.99, reduced to $ 2.99. A $ 17 Voluspa candle for $ 4.25 and a $ 28 Millefiori reed diffuser for $ 7.99. The cashier left a lot to be desired but I think she was new so I’ll cut her some slack.
Make sure you put aside some time when you come here because you can get lost browsing! It’s a fun store and I get a natural high when I find some good a$$ bargains so I’ll definitely be coming back! Also, I forgot my debit card in the store (guess it was lost in the moment of seeing my low $ 26 receipt) and the bearded Hipster came running out to give it to me. Thanks, bro!

This place is really awesome. They have great natural and vegan beauty products on discount which seem to be in perfect condition! Brands such as 100% pure, stila, elf and obsessive compulsive cosmetics can be found here. It is also very neat and clean surprisingly for a discount store I will definitely be coming back!

Last time I was here they had free samples of full size hair accessories. I got a pack of small hair rubber bands. This place is the best new New York store of 2015. I stop in all the time to see what new things they have.

The store serves as an outlet for merch Ricky’s is trying to liquidate. Given that, take special extra care before buying beauty products as I have seen a couple of products been opened, dried up, brand new products being used as testers as other patrons and were one offs in the shelves.
With that in mind, they have great deals and the stock is constantly replenished with new things. Halloween costumes are very cheap and so are higher brand name makeup. If you do see something you like get it, chances are they won’t be back the next time. They also stopped selling Smashbox makeup at this location due to policy changes.

Rickys outlet store great for toiletries in a pinch

Walked in to see a bunch of Halloween masks and costumes.
Upon closer inspection, they sell things such as make ups, nail polishes, and daily necessities all at low prices.
Right by the entrance of the W4th train station, making it a convenient place to go to.

It’s definitely an upgrade from the former CVS that used to be here. You can get all your toiletries and more, for a fraction of the price!!! From my understanding it’s an outlet/​surplus store of all the stuff from Ricky’s NYC. When they first opened up, they had all these fun and silly knick-​knacks for $ 1 at the back right wall next to the register. I tried to buy all the lucha-​libre drink labels they had. Scored some Kid Robot key chains and cute luggage tags too.
I bought a lot of hair accessories and jewelry. The brands I was excited to see them carry are 100% Pure line, Elf make up, accessories and brushes, and Yesto carrot-​cucumber (I got the facial wipes and soothing eye gel).
I also got these amazingly fragrant candles by VOLUSPA UK, (hand poured luxury candles made from coconut wax blend) retail price $ 36.00 a pop and only paid $ 10-​$ 12 (I went back again so it differed day to day). They have RICKY’S HOME candles with funny descriptions/​scents like «Walk of Shame and Banker Husband.»
I haven’t really looked at their costumes, other than they sell them for .99 to $ 5.00 but considering the surrounding area with the sex shops and all, the costumes at Romeo’s are wayyyy better quality than the cheap crap a few doors down. You might have get creative making it look more sexy though. HAHA!
The interior has some cool artwork and décor, it has that New York City street style vibe to it. I was impressed the owner is also the same guy at the check out register… talk about great customer service!
It’s too convenient of a location having it right in front of the subway station, W4th, which I have to pass by heading home from work. I’ve vowed for every paycheck I’m able to reward myself with a little treat, all while NOT breaking budget.

There used to be a CVS Pharmacy at this location. Now it is basically a discount outlet for Ricky’s products which is pretty awesome since Ricky’s is usually a bit pricy. Here, the items are up to 75% off and you’ll find cosmetics, hair care products, bath and body, accessories and costumes. You’ll find deals on Stila, Smashbox, Essie, O.P.I, Elf makeup brands. Also, the costumes (mostly sexy Leg Avenue-​type costumes, as well as the children’s costumes) are only $ 5!
I bought the following for $ 5 total: Elf VIP eyelash kit, eyeliner kit, lip glosses.
Tip: Since everything is so cheap, this store is CASH ONLY.
