Using only all natural & organic products, Rose&Basil is the home of a dream. Ioana sculpts her clients’ nails with care and talent. She uses only all natural and organic products and ingredients. More than 80% of complex ingredients and products are prepared in house. All cosmetic products that have a tertiary supplier hold those standards and are verified for not being tested on animals.

Ioana follows natures lead while sculpting eyebrows. She uses discretion and works quickly while removing all other unwanted hair.

She also creates the pleasure of all culinary experiences in all organic and vegan sweets. She offers a healthy alternative to those lovers of chocolate and intricate combinations out there. Our Organic x Vegan Chocolate Truffles are the perfect combination between healthy, delicious and inventive. We balance the Traditional with the Uncommon, the New with the Established. There is no guilt attached to our treats, only Passion and a Love for the Natural and Healthy!

History

Established in 2015.

Rose&Basil was born in late 2014. It came in the form of a drawing and it stayed like that on the fridge for many months to follow.

Founder and CEO, Ioana Holt, came up with the idea of a practice that has its heart in the reunion between Beauty and Nature. A practice about how we control and better our body esthetic by choosing wisely what we put on and inside our body.

Having learned about the benefits of natural products from her mother, an experienced chemist and agriculturist, the little artist in her was awoken and determined to bring the beauty she saw around her to more eyes than hers. Watching her mother use organic honey as a gentle mask every night before bed, she quickly understood that nature is our best ally when trying to maintain, heal and prolong our beauty.

We celebrate it in all the services that we offer. We choose nature to be healthy. We choose healthy to be beautiful.

Business Owner

Ioana lives in downtown Manhattan.

She attended NYU and was born in Romania.

She lived in Austria for a time and has traveled all over Europe gathering as much information about her interest in beauty and nature as possible.

She learnt baking and chocolate making in st. Gilgen, Austria from a master chocolatier.

Her esthetic knowledge is a combination of working with natural ingredients — having grown up at her family farm — and professional instruction throughout the years.

She loves New York City and has made it her home for more that three years now. When she is not with her patients or creating new flavors for her chocolate truffles, she spends her time at the Soul Cycle studios in the city and enjoying everything the city has to offer with her loved ones.
