Looks can be deceiving. Remember that you are not paying for ambience at $ 2.65 a slice. Don’t judge the slice until you eat it. It’s not Joe’s, but it’s not bad.

Just ordered a large cheese and a large pepperoni pizza. I am not impressed at all. The pizzas have very little toppings. The pie crust has no flavor at all. I definitely will not order from here again. Just upsetting. not to mention the price was messed up on the bill so we had to call to have the price corrected.

We wanted to go to Lupes but the line-up was daunting so my rumbling tummy and the time on my watch suggested that I pop into Rossetti’s for a slice instead. From the look of the place it has been around for years and has not been updated(or cleaned much) since it was opened — kind of beaten up and grungy but the pizza looked decent so I went for it. The guys behind the counter were friendly to me. I picked the spicy chicken simply because it looked the freshest. At $ 4 a slice the price seemed a little steep, but in the end, the slice did not disappoint. The crust was fantastic. Crispy yet bendable with a really light texture. The sauce had a decent tang to it and the cheese and chicken was plentiful and hot. Not too bad at all.

Hole-in-the-wall Hits Home Run! Slices looked a little sad, But crust was crisp and tasted rad. The room might seem a little scummy, But dang my pie was freaking yummy The floor not clean and lights did flick But I’d come back… A 4-Star pick!

I am basically rating the eggplant parm hero, which is the only thing I really order from here. It’s not easy to find a place with a consistently delicious eggplant parm sub. The sauce is just spicy enough. Just be sure to order it with cheese if you want it; they leave it off in case you have a dairy sensitivity and I think it’s 50 cents more for cheese. I neglected to do this once, which is how I became so intimately familiar with the flavor of the sauce. The price is right too, compared to what you can get at Ben’s or Bella Donna’s.

Good slices, and a damn good meatball parm sub yo. And the sub was only like $ 7, what a deal!

Food is sub-par at best. Greasy, yet still the crust is super dry. Place is dirty, and uninviting. Service is rude, and unaccommodating. Never, ever again. There are so many good pizza places in the neighborhood, high and low end. This place isn’t worth it.

If I wanted undercooked, plastic, terrible, disgusting, makes you feel like shit after eating it, pizza; I would of just gone to Phoenix, Arizona. Ohh burn(no offense Phoenix, love you) This place seriously sucks though. If you looked up the word pizza in google maps, all of Manhattan turns red. So you have a lot of other choices. Drunk or sober, stay away! It’s all bad.

I will give this place 5 stars on the sheer fact alone they are the nicest staff I have found at any pizza place in this city. The pizza was good and fresh and the staff was so kind with a smile on their faces. That is a rare gem in this city and makes all the difference in the world.

I go to this spot when I really don’t have the time or inclination to walk ANYWHERE else for lunch. When I do, it’s purely to satisfy my body’s need for calories. There is nothing about the pizza that makes me do cartwheels but also nothing about it that would have me rushing to the bathroom. They have a variety of precooked pies available(your guess how long they’ve been there) which you can get by the slice. I haven’t ventured far beyond the basic cheese though except for one go-around of the chicken parm pizza. It’s adequate… and adequate ain’t great.

I order calzones from the place. For 6 dollars you can go wrong. The plain pizza is bland, but some of the topping slices are good.

Nice crunchy thin crust. Cheese grease dripping down as you raise your slice. Ohhh yeah. This place is neither clean nor fabulous, so if you want to wax poetic about organic arugula and vegan mozz, take the pizza hubris elsewhere. It’s a solid cheese slice, unfortunately averagely priced for Manhattan at $ 2.50. Crust doesn’t flop around, tomato sauce isn’t too sweet, cheese isn’t too salty. Eye contact optional when ordering. Thaaaat’s my kinda pizzeria. While we were there, a woman came in and ordered spaghetti. Pizza Guy told her to hold on, walked outside and hollered for the Pasta Guy who was just futzing around outside. Who orders pasta at an old-school pizzeria anyway? Pasta is way too easy to screw up.

This could be awful or okay depending on your expectations. This is your usual pizza corner joint. There is nothing fancy or special about this place. Their only saving grace is probably the fact that there is a dearth of pizza options and they are near a lot of offices. I just finished my plain slice and part of my parm chicken slice. The plain slice was nothing amazing. They have a heavy hand on the cheese. However, it was thoroughly heated through and satisfied my empty stomach. The chicken parm was a little less appetizing. The globs of cheese had hardened a little bit so the pizza was left fragmented and unmanageable. The chicken parm was dry and bland. Stick with the plain slice, it will not be amazing, but it will be a cheap lunch.

Unfortunately, I made the mistake of coming back here in hopes that the quality of food was a fluke the first time. Terrible, flavorless pizza. If I had a choice between their pizza or a piece of cardboard with hot pepper flakes on it, I’d go with the latter. Also, the tiny place is filthy. You feel like you need to take a shower after eating there. Never going back again.

Officially awful. I’ve probably had Rossetti’s 10 times now, and I finally decided to write a review. The pizza here is never cooked fully. No matter if it is a whole pie, or a reheated slice in their oven, it will be underdone. One time I walked in and the top oven(where they cook the pizzas and reheat slices) was just hanging out, wide open. *sigh* I have ordered parm sandwiches a few times, and they have all been overcooked or BURNED! How they manage this, I have no idea. Finally, the place is downright filthy. C’mon!!! It is like 15 square feet inside. Clean the fucking place up!

pizza is what you expect from the outside– a basic slice– cheese accurately representative of a non-Italian pizza makers cheese… but this is one of the places that follows the trend contradicting my Italian-owned and operated pizzeria bias. The truth is in NY, any nationality can make good pizza– These guys are Egyptian and Latino in the back… They also know all the typical and necessary tricks to draw in customers… 1) me: can I get 1 slice of regular? Egyptian(E): ok, you want 2?(also popular tactic at Anna Maria in willyburg) me: nah, gimme 5…(half smile, but moreso the pizza come hither grin) 2)(change was 50 Cents), E does the fake toss of change, catches most off gaurd, ive seen this before– its a Queens thing… 3) some lady comes in and asks for the D train, quite clearly. E: ok, so the E train is… L: no, no D train E: ok C train is… (this guy clearly likes fucking with the customers, my type of place) 4) gave me 2 free garlic knots, and I said«is it becuase im Egyptian like you?»(me being a great ethnic guesser) E: you know, I saw it in your face when you walked in and I said, this guys Egyptian, but your eyes were like the Europe me: ok enough Mark Antony, is my slice ready yet

As per usual, the Unilocal average review is pretty much right on. Yes this place has edible pizza. No special recipe, but very edible. The usual thin crust pizza. The garlic knots were particularly garlicy and oily which I like in a garlic knot. So plus points there. One thing is it’s in a little corner where you get that old 70’s &80’s sketchy New York feel, if you were looking for it that is. Corner of sixth avenue and Watts, but where Sullivan ends too. Right down near Canal, that stretch of Sixth avenue that really hasn’t been redeveloped yet. So the pizza place itself has the old neon, and old falling apart kinda vibe. I dunno, I kinda enjoyed it, I guess i’m old school!

The owner gave us an Xtra Large and put additional toppings for free. really fresh taste and amazing pizza. We ordered the Prima Vera and it was one of the best pizzas in recent memory. Stick with Pizza and don’t order pasta or anything else, and you will love it. Better than Ben’s pIzza

My friends couldn’t decide where to order from the massive pile of menus… They decided upon here. WDF! This place is gross — The pasta dishes are bland!!! Very slow delivery service as well!
