Got my order wrong twice. Ham egg and cheese. Ended up. One slice ham. One egg. Not quite worth the price they are asking. Then I saw someone bring a baby into the kitchen they were handing baby off in between cooking as sweet as that is I don’t want to eat here again. Coffee was Dan good though

Rude staff! The guys who take your order are AWFUL(they also have short attention spans, I’ll get to that next). The women who work the register are great though. Keep your order as simple as possible, they will get it wrong 90% of the time. I work in the building and despite how much I hate this place, I get breakfast here once a week when I don’t have time to go elsewhere. I order some combination of eggs cheese and bacon on a bagel. 3 ingredients MAX yet they still only ever get one correct(eggs). How these guys are so feeble-minded and forgetful is beyond me. They are literally walking 10 feet away to relay the order, and in that time they completely forget it! These men are absolute morons. Full disclosure: I’m writing this review angrily as a bagel I did not order is sitting next to me. PS: Lunch: Don’t get their lunch. They cook everything in the morning and let it sit out all day. If you do decide to eat lunch here, be sure to have a bathroom nearby.

RUDE. The staff is unfriendly. It really doesn’t make sense because, unless you want to shut down your business, you should be nice to your customers. Maybe they don’t get that customers are there to GIVEYOUTHEIRMONEY. There is really no reason to have that annoyed attitude. I got a slice of cake and it was ok. Pricey though. But even if the food was outstanding I wouldn’t go back to this place.

Very slow. Also there is a credit card limit in chelsea? In chelsea market? Crazy!!! I think this place survives on being the only bagel shop in the area because it’s just not good. I reviewed the other negative reviews before giving a 1, an def agree with them and this made me feel the 1 star was justified. A place selling bagels in the morning should be QUICK!!! People are obviously going to work, and want morning grub. They don’t want to be late because the guy decided to take his sweet time putting the cream cheese on a bagel. What’s worst is most of the time the cream cheese on the bagel will be the wrong one when you get to you office. Unless you feel like walking to Starbucks, I respect having to settle for this poor excuse for a bakery since nothing else is anywhere close.

So done with this place. I just paid $ 10 for a cheeseburger deluxe that used to be $ 7. The burger was burnt on the outside and almost raw on the inside. My jaw is so tired from eating the burnt fries. At least they got my order right this time.

Summary: Get the beets and then use the seating as place to eat other findings from the market Oh Ruthy’s… when you first were in the market, there was jut not as many options. You make the most classic boring deli sandwiches breakfast til dinner. But alas, Chelsea has grown and it’s hard to know if you will continue to thrive. I would mention, that was a seriously delicious beat salad I had. If you happen to stroll in here with a lobster from the lobster place and can’t find seating, i would get the beet salad and enjoy that. Otherwise, everything is typical ny deli.

Ugh. Big mistake. Will not repeat. The food is over priced(even by Meatpacking Standards) the staff is incompetent and rude. No basic manners. I’m only giving it the second star because the food’s not that bad. I’ve had worse.

I work at a Studio across the street from Chelsea Market, and the meal tickets they give us for lunch are only good at Ruthy’s. In all honesty, that’s really the only reason I eat there. They mostly have salads, pasta salads, wraps, and pastries. The salad bar has a decent selection of toppings, but it’s expensive(almost $ 9), and almost everything else except for the pastries has meat in it, so as a vegetarian, I’m pretty limited in my options. The other foods that I’ve tried there(pizza, caprese pasta salad, and a pesto wrap) have been edible but nothing special. Even the pastries are kinda meh. The service is mixed – there are a few pleasant people who work there, but there’s one guy in particular who’s always grumpy and kind of incompetent(there have been a couple of occasions when he told me they were out of caesar dressing when I could see the bottle right behind him). The seating is also very limited, and I only have a half-hour break so I usually just ask a stranger if I can sit with them if there’s room at the table. Literally the only thing I like about this place is the rice pudding that the chef occasionally makes… but they’ve been out of that for the past couple of weeks(I guess he only makes it when he feels like it) so I haven’t even had that to look forward to.

I had the everything bagel with lox cream cheese… and I thoroughly enjoyed it! I will say though that my Californian tastebuds are used to having an everything bagel with EVERYthing on it and lots of it. However, I’ve found when you order a bagel in NY, they make up for lack of everything, with TONS of cream cheese(which I love, so no complaints here!) Overall the bagel was toasted crispy perfection on the outside and warm soft chewy in the middle. I was lucky enough to be dining with two other, so got to mix in some bacon cream cheese and sun dried tomato cream cheese; let’s just say tastebud explosion :)

I work on the Chelsea Piers and every time I go here, I’m disappointed. I only go because the other options on the Piers are equally dismal. The staff is ambivalent at best and resentful at worst. In winter, the insulation and heating are entirely insufficient. The pre-made food is of the low quality familiar to New Yorkers from mid-town mass lunch buffets. The baked goods are not bakery-fresh, I suspect they don’t get as much business as their Chelsea Market Bakery branch and so don’t move the goods as fast.

no no no no no no no no. HELLSNO. I’m real sorry you’re having a bad day & you’ve got to sling sugar at your day job. But we’ve all had bad days too, why the hell else do you think I’d be gazing at the cookies?!? Actually, I had a great day & I wanted a little something to bring to my wife before date night. Here’s a brief introduction to courtesy in food service: When a potential sale walks into your shop, greet them with something other than a dead stare. At least mumble something. When I ask how much the Rugaluch are, respond clearly so I know how much I’ll resent you later. When you hand over my bag of sugary saddness, say«thanks» or «have a nice weekend» or «rot in hell you fat fuck» Anything but more of your famous death ray. Not when there’s 800 other cutesy little bakeries in Chelsea Market, will I go back to these rude overpriced SOBs.

Stopped by it was Ok. Nothing to jump up and down about and say«let’s go back». In fact, I finished this review a week or so later, and can’t even remember the place… Just remembered(after I posted my review), it’s at the Chelsea Piers…
