Sailors NYC provides new Sailors, Crew & Skippers an unparalleled opportunity to enjoy Recreational Sailing on the Hudson River.
We strive to be a Recreational Sailors Club enjoyed by everyone especially the members of the NY-NJ-CT sailing community. No Experience is Necessary to sail with us and if you already are a Captain, you can sail our Boats with your Friends, 7 days a week as a Member. Start as Crew and become a Skipper with our Practice Sails & Lessons. Sailors NYC is also an American Sailing Association School and is offering both certification courses and 2 hours introductory lessons for novices.
History
Established in 2013.
Sailors NYC started as a Meetup group for New Yorker sailors. New York City was missing a club for cruiser-sailors at an affordable price. In the Spring of 2013 the company acquired two sailboats and we started sailing on the Hudson River. The word of mouth had spread faster than the wind and today we are offering club membership, American Sailing Association Certification courses, beginner and advanced sailing lessons and private charters. Come and have a different taste of New York with us!

Capt. Levy was born in the U.S. and grew up along Israel’s Mediterranean Coast, developing a lifelong passion for the Sea and water sports. The daughter of entrepreneurs, she has become an accomplished entrepreneur in her own right, having started two ventures in the retail and e-commerce fields.
Cultivating strong community relations has long been a concern of Ms. Levy’s and she’s been involved with a variety of community initiatives both in New York and in Israel.
Sailors NYC is her dream — a Sailing Club based in NYC that welcomes all levels — from Beginners to Captains — and provides the Sailing Community with a place to meet, learn and enjoy cruising on their own 30′ Sailboat right in the Hudson River!
