In 2006, Sam and Chris Salon was mentioned in the New York Times as a favorable alternative to the ever-​increasing and outrageously steep prices of many Big Apple hair salons. Sam Ghazali and Mike Elriz of Sam and Chris Salon were named two of New York’s Best Hairstylists in the spring of 2010 by Time Out New York. Five hairstylists make up the staff at Sam and Chris Salon: Sam, Mike, Christina, Sandy, and John. Sam and Mike have styled hair in New York City for the past 15 years, and work in Sam and Chris Salon every day of the week. Christina, Sandy, and John are at Sam and Chris Salon three or four days out of the week. The cost of a haircut at Sam and Chris Salon starts at about $ 37 for men and $ 55 for women.
