My first ever allergist experience and I couldn’t be happier. The office is gorgeous and clean, and all of the staff I interacted with were very nice. Dr. Lighvani was fantastic — knowledgeable, kind, and helpful. He really dug to the root of my symptoms and crafted a step by step plan towards living a more comfortable life. He even went so far as recommending books to read to supplement my future regimen. I can’t imagine that an experience at any other allergist would be better. If you’re debating between here and somewhere else, don’t think twice.

A lot of times when you go to a doctor, you don’t really expect that they will be able to «fix» you or even care if they do help you. This was not the case with Dr. Sebastio Lighvani. He went above and beyond and I strongly recommend him. He cares about his patients.
It’s a long story regarding my health but the short story is that I developed very severe allergies a few years back. It was very frustrating and emotional for me as I never had allergies and then all of sudden I developed allergies to the point that I needed two surgeries and had to take a lot of medication. Needless to say my case was very severe. After bouncing around from doctor to doctor, I was referred to Sebastion Lighvani by another amazing and kind doctor, my sinus surgeon — Doctor Ashutosh Kacker who referred me to Dr. Lighvani.
Dr. Lighvani understood how severe my case was but more importantly and what I will never forget is he understood and had empathy for my emotional state because of my allergies.
As a doctor, he was able to quickly assess what my case was and how we should approach it so that we could help remedy it. My case was so severe that I would get very sick from time to time and when I did, Dr. Lighvani would allow me to call him so that we could figure out what to do and what was going wrong with my body. I can not understate how severe my case was, my case was an outlier. The ability for him to allow me to call him, which so many doctors do not, made so much difference. I felt like he cared and was concerned for my well being. He made me feel that I was not alone in my battle against my illness. Together we finally found the right treatment to help me get better and get my life back. I will never forget Dr. Lighvani’s kindness and his willingness to refer me to people he knew could help me and the both of us figure out how to remedy my case. He’s an amazing doctor! I had a great experience with Dr. Lighvani and highly recommend him. He spent time with me discussing my symptoms, and after the first batch of allergy tests were inconclusive, he was very thorough with a couple of additional measures. I really felt that Dr. Lighvani was a skilled diagnostician and seemed to be determined to get to the root of the problem. Besides Dr. L, the medical assistants and overall staff were very pleasant and helpful. The office is gorgeous, and there was no wait time. I highly recommend.

I highly recommend Dr. Ligvani! He is a great doctor, very knowledgeable and very nice too. I came to him with severe seasonal allergies, he suggested I start allergy shots and one year later my life has changed. My allergies are manageable and continue to improve everyday. I never thought this was possible!
As many of the other reviews have also mentioned — he has a phenomenal staff working for him. It starts with Karen at the front desk who is so helpful and always greets with a smile. Karen is also organized and runs on time.
I get weekly allergy shots with Patty now and they are working great. As an added bonus Patty is an absolute pleasure! She is efficient and quick with the allergy shots and a great person. Patty is the best!!!

Highly recommend! Dr. Lighvani was able to pinpoint allergies I had related to stomach issues in one visit, after dealing with countless stomach doctors and other specialists for several years prior. I can finally go out to restaurants and not be nervous about feeling ill afterwards. It really changed my life. Thank you!!!

I’ve seen many doctors while living in NYC, and this is by far the best experience I’ve had. I was treated well, given excellent care, and walked out feeling much better. I would highly recommend coming in to see Dr. Lighvani if you suffer from allergies or have had allergic reactions!

This place is the best!
Everyone from the front desk staff which is headed by Karen (who must be a angel) to the Dr. himself is phenomenal. The NP Patty herself is kind, considerate and a wonderful person. This staff bends over backward for their patients! I have been going 2+ years now, I came an scary/​dangerous mess and now I’m under control. Not only did they help me but they guided me through all the medical processes.
If you are serious about your allergies and you just can’t take it anymore and tired of doctors that don’t even know whats going on with you, stop your search and make an appointment.

They are AMAZING! Everyone here is refreshingly optimistic about helping you the best way they can. Dr. Lighvani is a delight to have and extremely knowledgable as I have heard answers from him I didn’t hear from the past 2 allergist I saw. The process is fast, the payment options are crystal clear and affordable, several choices for medication (they even gave me a coupon for this newer EPI pen and with it they were free!), they text you appointment reminders, they email you the fill out form so you don’t have to do it in the office and wait longer, and as I have said it was an absolute pleasure to be there.
AMAZING! I never write reviews but this was worth the time and effort to do because I’ve been through the struggle of finding a proper allergist and wish I had someone to refer me. Thank you Dr & staff!!!

Dr. Lighvani and his staff are amazing. Right from the examination room to the reception. My exam was thorough and informative and I get weekly allergy shots with Patty.
Dr. Lighvani’s payment policy on allergy shots is unbelievable as his billing department makes sure his patients can afford them. I think the gentleman who called me notifying me of the reduction in my copay was Peter. Peter, you are an angel! With healthcare costing an arm and both legs, it is so important that the extra costs are within my miniscule income.
I’m now happier, less snotty, and more allergy free than I have ever been in my life.

When I first walked into Dr. Lighvani’s office, my allergies (which later led to asthma) controlled my life! Thanks to Dr. Lighvani and his recommendation for allergy shots, I am no longer hating spring and have not had an asthma attack in about a year. I must also add that his office and medical staff are some of the nicest and most pleasant people that you will ever meet. It is always a pleasure visiting Dr. Lighvani’s office.

Who would have tell that I have turn out to be allergic to common metal. Only pure gold from now on if I wanna wear jewelry. A curse or a blessing? What ya think?
Alright, jokes apart Dr. Lighvani has a challenging specialty. There is little you can do to eliminate allergies other than to avoid contact with the substance your body is rejecting. He is the one who will tell you that information. And information is power, you know?
I was pleasantly surprised with the extensive questionnaire that he perform on my first visit. Every single detail is important. You gotta remember everything, so get ready when you get there. I am also talking about the exact time when your allergies happened, what you ate and everything you have been surrounded by. He was able to predict from there what I was most likely allergic to, and after extensive testings that’s how it was.
I have visited for years different allergist and always found them to fall into the «quantity over quality» category by the means of lots of patients to who I just run the usual test, if nothing come out. oh well. Dr. Lighvani however, has shown to care personally and try his best to identify the cause.
As important as the Doctor itself, it is how the dynamics on his office works. If your staff is not good, most likely I will look for another one. I can tell very well after having unlimited amount of problems with the one who fixed my broken leg last year. At any case, it is a 5 stars because of the follow up, the reminders for your visits, no waiting times, all the payments are clear and they are friendly welcoming and known what they are doing. From the nurses to the administrative staff. The 5 stars also reflect that part at Dr. Lighvani.
I am coming back for a follow up in a few months and any time that I need to manage my allergies. I know now someone that can handle it better than myself over the counter.

Dr. Lighvani is the best allergist I’ve ever been to. He is very friendly, likeable & thorough. His staff is very nice and competent, especially his secretary Karen.
Anytime someone is looking for an allergist I always recommend Dr. Lighvani.
The first time I went to see him I was having a really hard time with my allergies. He took his time with me and asked a lot of questions. He put this camera thing down my nose all the way down to what felt like my ankles. It felt SO WEIRD … not painful though … just freakin’ weird, I couldn’t stop myself from blurting out «omg WTF are you doing»…I’m pretty sure I told him I was going to kill him too.
He’s such a nice man though… he didn’t seem to mind my threats or foul mouth at all.
He prescribed a few things that had me breathing normally within a few days.

Dr. Lighvani is one of the best doctors I have ever been to. He is really friendly and very good at what he does. You can tell he really cares about helping you and trying to get to the bottom of your allergy issues. If you are looking for an allergist, this is the one you want to see. He books up quick so make your appointment well in advance!

I was referred here by my regular physician and have been coming here for about 9 months. I’m really allergic to tree pollen, dust, and cats and am usually a mess in the spring and fall. My physician literally said: «Just go there to hear Dr. Lighvani’s accent!»
As someone else noted, Dr. Lighvani is a lot younger than I expected. For some reason I thought he’d be a stuffy, 60-​year old guy but he’s actually very young and friendly. I now visit the office every week or so (it’s hard getting to the UES from Times Square/​Queens), am greeted by Karen, his extremely smart receptionist, and receive shots from Patti, who is always a delight. Shots are given out every day, even on some Saturdays. The shot calendar is available online and are also sent out on a monthly basis by the staff. Even after a few months, my allergies have gone down significantly. I only wish that they were located closer to me!

Dr Ligvhani is a shining star and a model example of what a doctor should be.
He takes a personal interest in his patients well-​being, explains things clearly, his staff is patient and caring and he is extremely knowledgeable.
Like others, I’d been flailing around for many months trying to find someone who could help address a distressing condition. After being shunted around between different groups, having my time wasted by quacks, I came to Dr Ligvhani who quickly honed in a condition that the others had missed.
Highly recommended.

I’m still seeing Dr. Lighvani and still could not be happier. I can go weeks now and not sneeze or have to blow my nose a single time! I feel like a totally different person. There’s a new nurse since my original review, and she’s just as great as the last one. I can’t praise them any more highly.

I went to Dr. Lighvani for the first time today. Probably the best doctor I’ve ever been too. He took soooo much time with me, and truly seemed like he cared. He couldn’t have had better bedside manner, and seemed extremely knowledgeable as well. Also he gave me coupons with my prescriptions, so I could get discounts. The nurse called in my presrciptions, then called me about 30 minutes after my appointment to tell me who she spoke with at the pharmacy, and when the prescriptions should be ready.
I really haven’t had this good of an experience with a doctors office… ever. Highly recommended.

I must confess my is much better as a result of getting allergy shots. Everyone is very friendly and have never had a negative experience.

Dr. Lighvani is professional and thorough, which I appreciate. I was having unexplained itching and also occassional sinus allergies. I found out what I was allergic to, and it’s really helped.
Dr. Lighvani is very nice, listens to what the patient has to say and gives good, practical advice. He is also younger than I expected, but did not seem to be any less the wiser. Just fyi so you don’t get thrown off. This probably says more about my pre-​conceived notions of doctors rather than about him.
His staff is friendly and discreet, and my only wish is that he had more evening appointments available.
