History
Established in 2012.
Widely recognized as a pioneer in Employment, Civil Rights and Anti-Discrimination law, Alan Serrins brings more than 37 years’ experience to his field. He began working in employment discrimination law when the practice was first emerging. From the outset, Serrins developed a passion for the field and a deep commitment to advancing the rights of employees in the workplace. He founded Serrins Fisher LLP in 2012, after helming prominent employment firms for nearly 30 years.
Serrins has litigated dozens of cases from inception to verdict. His caseload has included claims under Title VII, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act, The Americans with Disability Act, the United States and New York State Constitution, state and local discrimination laws, civil service laws, State Education law, and Federal and State False Claims Act (Qui Tam) and common law claims such as breach of contract.

Since her admission to the bar, Liane Fisher has focused her practice of law on resolving workplace issues. Prior to founding Serrins Fisher LLP, Fisher developed a boutique employment law practice with an emphasis on remedying discrimination, sexual harassment and wage and hour violations for employees in the workplace.
Fisher has the unique advantage of understanding employment issues and legal strategies from the employer perspective. Prior to helping employees, she represented management while working at a leading, national employment law firm where she formulated strategies to prevent and defend against litigation. She also helped achieve many notable litigation successes in state and federal court and before city, state and federal administrative agencies.
Fisher received her juris doctorate from Brooklyn Law School, where she earned the Judge Doris A. Thompson and Edward Thompson Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy after becoming a Finalist in a national trial advocacy comp
