This place is one of my sanctuaries in NYC. I feel like family when I walk in here and their manager is particularly amazing. I try super hard to go here weekly and the good thing is that you can actually afford to do that. These massages have not only helped me de-​stress but I swear they even help my immune system. I also love that this place has crazy long hours and almost ALWAYS can take walk-​ins!
Tips:
— walk-​ins are always welcome but be careful on Friday and Saturday nights, this place is bumpin’ then and you may not be able be able to get a spot quickly
— I like starting with a 15 min foot massage and then 45 min body massage. If you just want something quick, definitely do a 15 or 30 min foot massage, you WILL NOT regret it
— Ditch getting coffee to catch up with a friend and do this together instead. Call ahead and make two 30 minute reservations for foot massages… your friend will thank you and you guys can chat during the whole thing (although you may fall asleep)
Conclusion, these guys put a lot of love and hard work into their business and even if I had the money to go to a fancier place I honestly don’t think I would

Just go. No need to read anymore reviews. I’ve gone a few dozen times and this place is effective, affordable and clean. I feel tremendous for a week after each time I go.

5 star foot massage. Alex is amazing. He is a magician! Practically healed my sore feet. I have tried all massage places on the area. This one is BY far the best. These guys know what they r doing. Every moment i was yelling in pain but OMg it was heaven! Coning again!

I took my girlfriend here for her birthday and she said it was the best massage she’s ever had. I got her an hour regular massage and an hour foot massage. She likes her massages painful so they really laid into her. She loved it. I’m sure they’ll take it easy on you if you like it soft. They also did the hot stones. I didn’t know that came standard with the massage.
They’re also super nice there. The customer service is great. I can’t wait to go there myself. You can’t beat the price here. And they have a buy 10, get a 1 hour massage free card. Nice. (you don’t have to buy all 10 at one time). Would definitely recommend this place.

Alright, if you’re looking for an authentic Asian experience, come here. Despite the cheap prices, you really get your money’s worth. For $ 35 an hour, you will get cupping, gua sha (scrapping), and hot stones. Very clean and very thorough; highly recommend.

This place is great. Staff could get a little noisy sometimes but for the price, I’m not expecting zen. Today I decided to get a 30min foot massage and 30min back. Foot massage was good as usual, for the back massage, the lady giving me the massage gave me the whole shebang towards the second half of my back massage with hot stones (felt great) and a scalp massage.

Great place with superb value. Professional and highly efficient. It is clean as well.
Please note that you might need to wait but that’s just because it is so popular and good!

These guys are great! I’ve had more expensive massages in fancier spaces, and they haven’t been as good as ShunFa. The foot reflexotherapy was good and not too strong (just how I like it and asked for) and the full body massage part was just amazing. I’ve been trained in massage and have high standards, these people are excellent. The ambiance and oils/​creams they work with are pretty basic, so if that matters to you, you may not love it. The massage work: great! Hot stone was a nice extra, though I am not sure I’d like cupping or whatever scrapping is.

Great massage and very reasonable prices! Very busy and great hours! Atmosphere is not great but clean and welcoming! I mixed up a half hour back massage with a half hour reflexology! Way too go! Highly recommend!!!

I had this place recommended to me, but it was a bit hard to find as there are many massage places around there and no sign with the name out front.
I had one of the best massages I have had in a very long time. I was a walk-​in in the morning and was treated straight away.
The lady did not speak much english, but that just allowed me to relax more without have to converse. She did ask plenty of times if the the pressure was right. It was just about perfect :-)

I’ve been coming here for 2 years now and I will keep coming back for another 20! The massages (foot and body) are always wonderful, the staff and owner (Leo) are friendly and accommodating, and the prices are a bargain for NYC!
It’s not a fancy place but I don’t mind because the massages are great; I’ve been to fancy spas that charge 2−3x more but they don’t get the knots out of my back. Shunfa offers complimentary hot stone and cupping which I really appreciate and highly recommend getting!
Lastly, I would like to compliment the owner, Leo, on his professional and friendly demeanor while dealing with irate customers who walk in without appointments and demand service. Appointments are recommended because they are very busy, especially on the weekends, so please call in advance. On another occasion, I paid before going in for both my aunt and my body massages and the owner was very honorable and gave me back $ 10 change because I overpaid him. if it was anyone else, I’m sure they would’ve kept the extra money but I have much more respect for the owner after that!
They also have a Buy 10, Get 1 session free card! So if you get massages often this is the perfect place! Oh and please bring cash for tips! and be generous!

This is a very cheap place to get a good foot/​body massage, I go regularly and have tried Steven, Cece, Lisa, and one more guy, they are all good. Their massage is a little «hard» but good. It is open late, and so good to just go and get a nice massage. All the employees are hard working and nice, but this is a no-​frills place.
They have a lot of repeat customers who bring more people along. Do take an appointment. They are always very busy, so its best to call first else you will have to wait. The technique is not exactly reflexology that you may find in a high-​end spa, but nothing beats a good foot massage. The manager is a tad quirky and funny, but he will never let a customer walk out unhappy.
My only issue is that sometimes customers talk. They should put up a notice saying customers should be quiet so others can relax.

$ 35 for 30minute back massage and 30minute foot massage?!? Yes please! YoYo worked on my feet until they felt brand new again… and i cannot wait to come back! The end.

Wow. Cheapest massage ever. I did the foot/​back combo for an hour. The back portion came first — they lead you to the back of the place to this darkened corridor where everybody is getting their back massaged. There aren’t rooms; it’s all curtain partitions that separate the customers and masseuses. Very packed — I think they crammed like 5 customers back there. I stripped for my massage like I always do, although the masseuse wasn’t as careful as others are to make sure the towel stays where it’s supposed to stay, haha. The music was calming, but the sound of other people getting massages simultaneously was a bit disruptive (and a bit odd). The massage was fantastic though. The lotion they used was a bit cheap, but the technique was great. I prefer Eastern massage techniques over Western ones, and this place excelled at the former. They also surprised me with a lovely hot stone massage portion, which was absolutely delightful.
The foot massage was amazing as well. Best foot massage I’ve gotten in my life so far. It was cool because they gave me a map of all the pressure points on my foot while I was receiving the massage, so I could follow along and figure out the reflexology connections being put to use.
I highly recommend this place if you want a cheap fun massage. Not relaxing psychologically, but it will relax you physically better than most other places. It’ll also relax you financially, haha.

A totally spur of the moment decision led to a great foot massage. I have been back twice. The place is not big on ambience but the two massage therapists I had were strong and sensitive to my responses. Good service and a great value.

I love this place so much I can’t even tell you how much. Even some customers are pointing me out saying they see me here all the time. «Don’t be shy to say hello if you see me here». All of them make my entire body happy. My foot does a happy foot dance when walking in and do a cloudy dance when leaving.
For my back and shoulders I usually bring my ointment a.k.a Bengal, they use it on my body, it helps relax the muscle but you can ask for tiger balm from them, they’ll use it to melt your stress away.
Everyone’s so kind, you feel at home when you walk in. I come in and they offer me drinks and food. Now, the wonderful owner just went and get my a freshly sliced water mellow, so good I ate it like a little child while getting my foot massage.
Oh, heaven on earth!
I want to move in here or come everyday if I can. My body feels really different and great right after every visit to this place. :).

Honestly the best and nicest place for foot massages. If your foot is in server pain from pounding in the pavement, ask for the tiger balm. It’s an ointment they use to sooth the muscle. It’s works like Vick vapor rub on a chest… except it’s a balm for achy feet.
Also ask for steven. Omg… he will have you walking on clouds!
Also this place tends to be focused on profit so you are better creating an appt than walking in because if you walk in they’ll take you but then they’ll want to try to move you to another sit un the middle of your massage to accommodate a party of 2 or 3 to sit together. Gets annoying… I just push back.

For $ 39, it was awesome! Did the combo foot massage (30 mins) and full body rub (30 mins) I took away 1 star bc the atmosphere is dingy, space is small and there’s just 3 foot massage chairs open at a time. Our timing was perfect, but the scheduling seemed off, with wait times a lot longer than quoted to get people in the door.
My foot massage was good, but the back massage took me to heaven! Lisa’s technique and pressure were great.
The rooms have curtains so you don’t get peace and quiet. We heard a man moaning like he was getting a happy ending so we were laughing and he snapped an angry «shut the f up». Kinda rude to make noise yourself but hush others.
My friend swears his body and mind were tainted. He said all the weird vibes of others who the therapist rubbed went into and corrupted him and did not stop complaining how sore he was until 3 days later.
I would go back weekly if I still lived in NYC.
