Specialties

Sickday Medical House Calls provides acute/urgent care throughout Manhattan in the comfort of your home, office, or hotel. We are available 7 days a week from 6 a.m. — 11 p.m. and will arrive within an hour of your call. We charge a flat fee of $ 250 per visit, reimbursable by most insurance providers.

Sickday gives New Yorkers a health care option for those who need medical attention immediately. We are not your primary care doctor. We do not provide ongoing chronic care. But if you can’t get access to your doctor, do not want to go to a facility, or prefer the convenience of a house call, we will be there for you.

Don’t be late to your meeting; don’t spend money on a babysitter; don’t even get out of bed. Just call Sickday at 212-sickday!

History

Established in 2001.

Sickday Medical House Calls is more than a nostalgic return to the «days gone by» of at-home medical care. We have a modern health care solution devoid of waste and unnecessary infrastructure that allows us to provide quality, affordable care in the environment of your choice.

After years of working in hospitals and a private physician practice, Naomi Friedman founded Sickday in 2001 to re-establish house calls as an integral part of New York’s health care system. She has seen thousands of New York’s residents, corporate executives, and visitors alike over the past eight years, and is considered a pioneer in the house call field.

Naomi F.

Business Owner

Naomi Friedman is the Founder and Chief Medical Officer of Sickday Medical House Calls. She founded Sickday to provide a much-needed medical house call service in New York and to re-establish the house call as an integral part of the health care system.

After working in hospitals and physicians’ offices for more than a decade, she recognized the need for a house call service in New York City. She has since treated thousands of patients in their homes, offices, and hotel rooms across the city.

Naomi believes that a house call is a more personalized way to deliver medical care. Familiar surroundings provide greater comfort to the patient and contribute greatly to their positive response to medical treatment.
