History

Established in 2005.

Sigiri Sri Lanka Restaurant in New York was founded by Tanya DeSilva and Mala Rajapakse. Two long time friends whose fondness for preparing Sri Lankan cuisine blossomed into the idea of opening up the restaurant.

After 5 year run they dedicated to retire and pass down the business to another family within the family. Sigiri has by then become one of the most popular South Asian restaurant in East Village. Cooked only by Close family members and friends to keep the rich Sri Lanken flavors and traditions. Every dish is prepared from scratch to guarantee the Authentic flavor.
