Developed hypo pigmentation. Had to go to a plastic surgeon to fix it. He said I was way over treated. When I looked her up she is not a qualified Doctor. Spend the money it’s not worth the scarring.

Carol is great! Went in for an initial consultation for a 5″ x 5″ fairy tattoo, black and grey a few months ago at the beginning of the summer, and started my first laser session immediately after. She made me feel very comfortable and was willing to go at whatever pace with breaks if I wanted. I personally just like her going straight through with the tool which blows air and pricks the skin. It does hurt which she warns but she offers Advil, numbing cream and whatnot. And as I mentioned tries to be as soothing as possible asking if you’re okay and if you need a break.
With the recommended 4 – 8 week spacing it’s very easy to schedule and afford each session. Speaking of scheduling — she makes it easy to do it through texting afterwards which is great for people who don’t like talking on the phone!
I believe today I just had my fifth session — for a tattoo that has already faded A LOT, my friends have been very impressed at the progression. I have medium Indian skin tone and I was worried if the machine would work okay with my color and it definitely has! I can’t wait to start my other tattoo removal next year and be tattoo free by next summer.
Tip 1: I have a back tattoo and my go to position which Carol herself commended is to lie down on my stomach, head down, close eyes, and clench my fists open and shut. I keep forgetting to bring a stress ball but that would surely help, as well as breathing in and out. Of course, everyone’s skin and pain threshold is different so do take that into consideration.
Tip 2: Start now in the fall/​winter! Carol warns you that there will be redness, possible bumps, and itchiness a day or 2 after each treatment. The colder weather is a great time to take care of visible back, arm, leg tattoos as most of those areas will be covered up and people can’t see the skin irritation. Don’t worry about the 1 – 2 days after as the redness diminishes and the tattoo itself fades more and more with time.

Carol is attentive and patient. She doesn’t try to rush the process and was very caring. I’ve gotten laser treatments several times prior to going to Carol, and she’s by far the best and even followed up with me later in the day to make sure I was ok. Highly recommend her.

Carol is just awesome. Sweet, professional, knowledgeable, honest, friendly, and great at what she does. I came in to ask some questions before I booked an appointment and she took the time to sit with me and answer all my questions as well as give me an honest and thorough consultation. I have had one session so far and there such a huge difference in my tattoo already that I’m confident this will be a relatively fast and easy removal. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE follow her instructions and get the numbing cream– laser tattoo removal hurts!!! but you can literally make it (mostly) painless by using the numbing cream about 2 – 3 hours before your session and taking ibuprofen/​aspirin, like Carol suggests. If you don’t, it will really really hurt and you’ll probably never want to come back, so why not make this experience as painless as possible for yourself? The location is great, the office is super clean, Carol’s work gets serious results, and the price is right– what more can you ask for?

As all the other review says, she is nice, informative, experienced, and gets the job done. SImple pricing, very, reasonable pricing, it was the best salon i’ve been to. I used to pay a lot more, LOT more, for nothing. WIth one shot, my dark spot on my lips were gone in a few days. I am working on my other spots on my face, so excited and happy so far!
So here is an update a month and a half later:
It was amazing, the spots on my lips just fell off. My huge mole on my shoulder, is 60% lighter in color. Other spots that were not so dark, she did tell me that these may require 2 sessions, so I am not surprised it did not completely go away, although, they are better in color and size.
I am Japanese and was having trouble finding a place where can treat Japanese skin with laser, if you’re Asian (obviously, the other reviews prove it works on any skin type), this is the place to go to.

I emailed Carol after 11pm and she immediately emailed me back and we exchanged numbers so we could speak more easily (text). We set up an appointment (she was super flexible) and I was all set. My roommate got locked out so I had to go home on the day of the appointment and didn’t even have time to let her know. Then 5 minutes before my appointment, I apologized (I really hate being late) and she stayed way late for me so I could get my treatment done.
She really is an artist. She took a lot of time to look at the area (my treatment was complicated — some things needed to be removed and others faded) and finally, when we came to a consensus (I was very specific and very picky) she proceeded. She went gradually and we worked it out until it was exactly what I wanted. She was SO patient and just really wanted the best for me. I left happy and she matched the price of the place I used to go to even though it’s clear that she is better.
When it comes to having this sort of sensitive treatment done you really need someone with kindness, flexibility, patience, and above all — expertise and professionalism. Should I ever need to have a similar treatment performed, I know exactly where I’ll go! She had a genuine interest in getting it right for me. A couple days later, she followed up with me (the last place never did that) to see how everything was. Of course, everything was great.
P. S. No, I do not work for Carol, but I do want to say, as someone who works in the service industry, it is always nice to leave a tip for someone with the finesse and professionalism that Carol has. I did because I’m always willing and happy to show my appreciation for a job well done! Anyone who goes above and beyond deserves it. Happy lasering (is that a word?)!

nice, central location, professional and clean, and she is just so NICE! i always enjoyed coming in and getting my arm zapped. I’ve had 6 or 7 sessions, her price is completely reasonable, there’s never a wait. my tattoo is only 98% gone but i recommend her services 100%. :)

Carol is fantastic!!! After reading many reviews on various tattoo removal places, I am so glad I chose Smooth. I just had my last treatment and my tattoo is gone! No matter where you go it will hurt however, Carol is such a professional and helps you through the process (she even does a count down while laser ing). I would highly recommend this place!

Carol is so knowledgeable and professional! I started going to her to remove thick moles on my back. I loved the job she did so with the next appointment I had her remove the brown spots on my face and chest. Love the results! The thicker moles took two sessions and the brown spots only one. She has done such a great job on me I brought my boyfriend to her to get his moles removed. I highly recommend her to all my friends. Her office is clean and I love the location. Just finished my sixth tattoo removal session and I’m thrilled with the results! It’s going faster than expected and I can honestly say that Carol is great at what she does. I had over 30 sessions with Carol over the years and I removed two tattoos (B&W) /​faded one (color). She provides excellent personal service and has a lot of experience. Sure, removing tattoos is painful but totally doable with her.
Also, Carol is a business owner and she means removing tattoos which actually makes a huge difference in getting the desired results.

I rarely write reviews but I really felt the need to let others know how amazing Smooth is. Carol is truly experienced and skilled.
I was really nervous to get my tattoo removal because I heard so many horror stories of how painful it was and how poor the results were. Carol made me feel at ease. She explained all the different lasers and how each one takes out different colors. A lot of other places use one laser and that’s why it doesn’t get the job done. I’m only 5 sessions in and mine is almost gone. I highly recommend Smooth and going to Carol over anyone else.

Carrol works wonders. I was nervous at first, but went to her because my friend had a tattoo removed by her, and her tattoo is completely gone. I had blue and green shooting stars outlined in black behind my ear. After 4 sessions they are fading to oblivion, with no blisters or scarring. I got my tattoo around 2006 or so (since then, some tattoo artists have switched to acrylic ink). I recommend buying a package right off the bat to save money. However, I didn’t think the numbing cream made much of a difference. The recovery is fine, after each session my tattoo was tender and slightly bruised (outlined in purple from the bruise) for a couple days.

I went to Smooth for laser removal of a tattoo and was very pleased with the results. I am actually one of the test cases on her web site, and it’s virtually gone now. No one can tell that I ever had a tattoo now. It took about 6 sessions (everyone’s tattoo is different and will require varying amounts of treatment).
I applied the medicated numbing cream as well as took some advil before each session, but it was still painful. If you cannot handle pain, you should see a dermatologist who can totally numb you out with shots. But if you got the tattoo in the first place– the laser pain is pretty much the same (feels like hot bacon grease splashing on your skin).
Carol is a specialist in TATTOO REMOVAL. I am not sure that I would trust a non-​doctor for anything but that. She has never represented herself as a doctor.
She also zapped some tiny veins in my nostrils– they came back after about 6 months so I would not consider this a worthwhile use of your money.
I am very, very pleased with the results of my tattoo removal, especially for the price.
