Spence-​Chapin is a full-​service adoption agency bringing over 100 years of experience to a new mission: creating permanent, loving families for children most in need — older children, siblings and children with special needs.

We lower barriers for today’s adoptive parents by providing no-​fee adoption services, passionate advocacy, and lifelong support through our Modern Family Center. And we help more families approach adoption with open hearts and clear expectations.

History

Established in 1908.

Over one hundred years ago, Clara Spence, and Alice and Dr. Henry Chapin started nurseries for babies who needed families. Spence-​Chapin continues to help children today. Some live in overseas orphanages; some have serious medical problems; others face very difficult lives. It is our mission to find permanent loving homes for all of them.
