I was actually surprised that this glorified Staples kiosk carried the item I was looking for. AND, I was also rather surprised that the store clerks greeted me as I walked in. A very knowledgable and helpful male clerk did everything he could to help me get the best price available for my particular purchase — which included emailing a jpeg of a Staples coupon for them to print out. He provided optimum service and for that, I am grateful. The several good for nothing female attendants, on the other hand, did little to nothing in terms of service. No surprise there. Not only did the cashier provide typical unsatisfactory service that NYC is known for, she closed the sale w/reminding me to take the online Customer Service Survey for a chance to win $ 5,000! It seems odd that she’d be so blatantly uninterested in fulfilling the basic tasks of her job ANDTHEN ask customers to share their experience w/the corporate office.

Aww, it’s so cute! I could fit it in my pocket! Unless I’m really in a pinch, I wouldn’t come here for supplies because Kmart is cheaper and the Staples near Herald Square has a much better selection. Selection is something you won’t find here. But at least I know there’s a Staples really close to home, in case there’s a huge blizzard and I’ve run out of printer paper.

I don’t know if you can really call this location STAPLES. Yes, it has the name STAPLES and all the employees have STAPLES shirts on. But this location is small. How small? My walk in closet is bigger than this location, thats how small. Its located right inside Penn Station. You enter thru 7th Avenue, take the stairs or escalator down, and its on the left hand side. If you walk by it quickly enough you’ll totally miss it. That’s how small it is. Because it is small, they basically sell the essential everyday stuff, like staples, pens, paper, blank CD’s and DVD’s and even computer bags. What you won’t see here are the big item products, like a copy machine or a top notch computer. This location is geared towards people on the go, pretty much. Or people who come down here just for some Krispy Kreme donuts.
