One of my fav Starbucks in Harlem! It is so conveniently close to the train I will ride an extra stop on the B train for my cup of joe. The staff is always kind, efficient, and personable and actually seem to like and take pride in their job. I will agree it is not the easiest to grab a seat but that doesn’t bother me. I have seen a lot of SOSO reviews for them and I am not sure why. Sometimes I am slightly annoyed that the bathroom and kept as clean as it should; or that some people think it is okay to NOTPURCHASE coffee and use the free wifi and hold up a seat from a paying customer. YUP I SAIDIT! ANYWHO…keep doing a great job 145& Bradhurst Team!

Consistent coffee, but obnoxious servers. I’ve gotten an attitude plenty of times here, so i try to avoid this location.

I just purchased an Eggnog Latte… They didnt have much eggnog, si instead of asking me if i’d prefer a different beverage The barista used mostly milk. I get to work My beverage was gross. I was most disturbed, so I had to call Corporate for a refund… SMH…

I ordered a bacon Gouda and then decided I wanted a drink and that irritated the cashier who, come to find out, was the«supervisor». I should have known what kind of person I was dealing with when the incompetent, self proclaimed«supervisor» said it didn’t ‘tooken’ anything. I usually love Starbucks but it must be something in the NYC water that makes a lot of its employees inept. However, the employee who gave me my food and drinks was a sweetheart. Obviously I’ll come back :)

I’ve spent a decent amount of afternoons and evenings here buried my head in a book and I’m glad to report this is one of the very few Starbucks location that’ll get 4 out of 5.(Sorry but the Starbucks in Istanbul still has my heart!) The staff here are efficient and friendly, always greeting you with a smile. I’ve seen a few incidents where a patron was particularly disruptive, yet they still remain professional. To date they haven’t made any mistakes with my orders i.e. I’m very particular with my drink(no milk in my cup). This location is always kept clean, and so is the bathroom(thankfully) due to the Starbuck’s team diligent efforts. I’m more inclined to patron this establishment than the other coffee shops because of the unlimited wifi, clean premises, free coffee refills(gold status), and the amicable staff. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it here as well!

This place is going to shit. The hardest thing in the world to do is actually come here and order a regular coffee and not have to wait for the mindless idiot behind the counter to see that there is none ready. Now, they offer pour over for the bold and light blend(why not just offer Sanka, it tastes the same) and they still can’t keep the one blend that they are brewing available. Its so easy to look up at a barista standing in a corner with their phone in their face… why can’t they keep coffee stocked? Because they are grand ass«baristas» and don’t give a damn. Idiots run the world… at least the Starbucks world in Harlem.

I feel pretty fortunate to live on the same block as this Starbucks. The staff is generally friendly, they’re efficient and(most of all) the store is very well laid out. Large communal table as well as bar seating and a small section of private spots. Starbucks doesn’t vary much in NYC, but this is a good one!

My favorite Starbucks in the City. I’ll admit, I’m biased because I live in the neighborhood. But really, it is great. The view of the park is nice and the baristas always seem to have a smile. This is the perfect place to read the NY Times on a Saturday morning. Of course it’s expensive coffee(in relation to bodega coffee) — but you knew that.

Probably one of the nicest Starbucks in the city, and definitely my favorite. It is very well laid out, a large table in the middle for community seating, raised chairs by the bar, and plenty of round tables to go around. Go at peak times and there is not a seat. The staff is pretty nice and the whole place seems pretty well run. You will see a lot of the same people here. It is off of a main stretch in northern Harlem. Only con is the same con that affects a lot of NYC starbucks. Their bathrooms have become the unofficial public bathroom of NYC. There is really no way for the staff to control this(though at this location they have a code for the door, which helps a bit) So you have people not buying drinks walking in using the bathroom, and the worst case scenario: a homeless person comes in decides to use the bathroom as a washroom. Sometimes they are in there for 30 – 45 minutes while you fight peeing on yourself, then they stroll out like nothing happened. But that’s living in NYC.

It’s a nice Starbucks. No complaints really. Ok just one complaint. I was being funny one day and when they asked for my name to write on my drink I said, «Super Jew.» Poor dummy working behind that counter was illiterate. So she wrote«Supa Jule.»

Just like any other Starbucks. This Starbucks has a large table in the center of the shop where I think would be a nice space to get some work done.

I’d have to agree with Stephanie M., this is my favorite Starbucks — at least in Manhattan — and I’ve reviewed a number. First, it’s got great ambiance. City College students, Harlemites, Sugar Hill folks, people pretending the neighborhood is Hamilton Heights, all ages, etc. Second, lots of folks are typically sitting down. So you won’t feel alone getting a drink. The drinks have always been made well — and I’ve been a bunch of times. Of course it’s exciting to see a Starbucks on 145th — but even as the excitement of that has worn off, I still enjoy this one. My drink was made well and the staff — of which there are always a lot — are quick and fast. There are not a lot of seats, mostly bar stools, which is a drawback, but that’s much better than many other Starbucks in the City. Plus, you can get here via the A/B/C/D trains at 145th and walk down, even though it’s a serious hill back up.

I hope that you are taking your coffee to-go because there are no seats here. This location doesn’t require you to buy coffee to sit there and use the wifi for hours, so you may have to convince someone who is not a customer to let you join them. Watch your things! Homeless people are permitted to hang out. However, the person who was begging was eventually politely removed. Again, the coffee is fine. Just make sure that you take it to go!

This Starbucks is kept pretty clean and the baristas are very friendly and helpful. There are always a fair amount of people inside from college students and professionals to the occasional wifi freeloaders. I always receive my drink as i order it and in a timely fashion because unlike the Starbucks stores downtown — this one is rarely busy.

I always love the conversations going on around the table. Sometimes it’s politics, sometimes it’s proselitization, sometimes it’s about news, and sometimes it’s about the world that we live in(of which I had a fond conversation tonight, about how society in America is changing). I was near this one conversation tonight that made me feel like Daniel Jackson from Stargate SG-1: some people were talking about Flight MH370, and there were lots of back and forth points thrown around, and one lady exclaimed, ‘Is there an engineer here?’ That, of course, was what made me feel like Daniel after his ascension: that having that status(‘ascended’ in his case, ‘engineer’ in mine) did not make him all knowing, but that it was just the start of a journey. Afterall, while an engineer can make sense of certain things he/she cannot divine information that was never given. It was a lively and friendly conversation, and I like the sense of community that has built up around that big table.

Gentrification is happening on the Upper West Side. Increase in income. then drive up the price. Get rid of those dollar stores. Vacant buildings are now becoming condos. Now queue in the Starbucks This Starbucks is clean, large communal tables, and a friendly staff. Male/Female restrooms nice an clean. . There is a wonderful mix of people that patron here, but it seems as if they only walk up and down this block only. Well gentrification is happening, but at a molasses pace.
