Very crowded Starbucks… orders always take long due to the massive amount of customers but the staff is friendly and hard working

I’m a regular customer and a gold Starbucks cardholder. I come here probably 4x/week, being that it’s close to my job. This Starbucks has some friendly & professional employees who always greet you warmly. However, there are some who don’t even smile and say thank you, even when I’m sure they know I’m a frequent customer. Yesterday at 3PM, I ordered Venti iced green tea latte. The person making my drink, put the green tea powder over iced coffee, shaked it up & gave it to me. I order this drinks so often I know that’s not how you do it. I was in a hurry to work that I just left with it. Dear managers, please train your employees to be better at customer service & how to make the correct beverages. It was a very dissapointing experience. Thank you.

I mean, what did you expect from a Starbucks chain that’s in NYC? It meets my requirements: take my order, write my name on the cup correctly(probs the hardest part to get correctly), make my drink correctly, and have some seating area where I can just lounge and get some work done on my laptop.

I ordered a iced capuchino and the guy at the cashier didn’t understood my English as I am Colombian, I don’t have the best accent but I speak quiet well… After he made the mistake which I don’t care because I know how is deal sometimes with accents he made a comment about«she should speak proper English» … What that supposed to mean I «Should» speak proper English what a disrespect, this country is built with people around the world and some aren’t born here and can’t speak the language as good as others but you can’t disrespect someone saying that ! Live here for 6 months and never felt so disrespected for my accent and come on this is a Starbucks which is so coming and popular that tourist will always come here and be treated like that I don’t think is appropriate !

I asked for an Oprah chai because there was an advertisement for it in their Starbucks — but they didn’t have it. So, I settled for a classic chai. I asked the woman at the register if it had any caffeine in it and she replied that they don’t put any espresso shots into it. That didn’t really answer my question but I assumed that she meant that there was no caffeine in it. I had already had two cups of coffee that day and it was the evening, so I just wanted something de-caf that would keep me warm. After taking a few sips of the drink I felt my heart rate go up and I knew that the woman had no idea what she was talking about. I checked online and apparently it has 95 mg of caffeine in it. That’s more than a red bull! So, after paying $ 5 for the drink, I just threw it out. Needless to say, confusing how Starbucks workers here can’t even answer a simple question.

Gave me attitude, stickiness all over my cup and fooling around. What kind of Starbucks is this?

The proximity of this location to the subway leads to several side effects: it’s always swamped with people, ordering takes forever, staff are unfriendly(at best) and orders are rushed and thus subpar. I’ve been back on Starbucks because of their new order ahead option in the app. At every other Starbucks I’ve tried(maybe 5 others) ordering through the app has been faster, easier and honestly better, since some shops dedicate a barista to app orders. At this spot? App said my drink was ready and I waited as the guy made 6 drinks and would not reply to my questions about my order, just looked through me like a drone and slammed it down on the counter after throwing it together. It was bitter and burned. The coffee too. Pass on this spot for one of the others off Lex if you can spare the detour.

This Starbucks is trash. They never have the cinnamon chai. Why is it on the menu if you never serve it. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and ordered a regular chai latte. They put coffee in it. I was on my way to work so I could not go back and ask them to make my order correctly. I’ll never go back.

You can always expect this place to be swamped in the morning, but that comes with the territory. However, the staff has a tendency to yell and come off as a bit unprofessional. The service always seems to take forever and it you get a clear impression that it’s not an efficiently run branch. Furthermore, I am a green tea devotee-meaning I love my Matcha latte. The location has been out of Matcha for about a week now and doesn’t know when it will be restocked. I know this isn’t the staff’s fault, but I am already pained to a certain degree to visit this location in the morning. I merely visit this particular Starbucks, because of convenience. Now I find out that I can’t get my drink… you can count that I won’t be visiting much longer.

The line in this Starbucks is always long, no matter what time of day it is. Be patient when coming here, or try the new feature of ordering on their app and picking it up. The reason so busy is that this is the closest Starbucks to the hospital. Besides the wait time, a very standard Starbucks, with knowledgable baristas, and friendly service.

This location is pretty nasty. Makes you want to take a shower as soon as you’ve been inside. Takes hours to get your drink made even though there’s always plenty of people behind the counter. Convenient because it’s open till 11pm and is v close to subway but definitely take to go and give yourself an extra 30 mins lead time.

Usually go to this Starbucks on the UES since it’s most convenient to Central Park and the Metropolitan Museum. It’s clean, the lines are reasonable, and there’s plenty of seats to sit down.

I can’t believe this place has more than a one star rating. I’ve been coming here for years and literally have to take deep breaths before walking in expecting to be extremely disappointed. The service is beyond slow which is fine if it were busy and well run but the nine employees will literally stand behind the counter just talking and joking with each other while you stare and wait for a simple ice coffee. I used to keep track of how long it would take for an iced coffee and the range was always a minimum of 7 minutes-even with one or no other customers.

Cool Starbucks in the upper east side. Has a cool looking black look to it compared to the usual standard green Starbucks Logo look!

I don’t know if it’s because it’s by the hospital or if this location truly is that horrible but the service is extremely slow and they constantly mess up with my drinks. I once stopped by during lunch time and the line plus the wait for my drinks was over 20 minutes. I’ve been to other locations when it was busy and have never had to wait that long.

Standard Starbucks but very cool spot to come in and study. Very friendly staff at all hours. I came in for a hot tea the morning before the marathon and got it on the house! Super nice people!

I am extremely grateful to the staff of this Starbucks for being wonderfully accommodating and helpful today. My hot chocolate was also perfect. The other customers were great and very considerate. I know I can’t track them down to thank them all personally for their kindness(won’t go into too much detail about the situation here), so this will have to do!

Quick moving lines for coffee. Close to #6 subway stop. Easy access to grab a morning iced coffee and jump on the train to work. The layout itself is kind of weird. It’s just a long narrow space from the front entrance to the back by the bathroom with counter seating all along the windows. I guess it’s good for people watching. Just a small table seating area to the left of the entrance. Of course some wifi hogs were in attendance. Only one bathroom and there always seems like a line for it! Otherwise, just another standard Starbucks location.

Factory operating an assembly line to service customers«NEXT!!!» while all I desire were breathe mints in Spearmint and Peppermint flavors(non-gum form). Thus Breathe mints are difficult to find, aside from Altoids, which I’m old school to prefer mints not gum. I do NOT chew gum. During the transaction I specifically requested a sales receipt, and of course the cashier ignored my request forcing me to yank it from the register’s printer. Why is the world full of incompetent people?
