Locks, Paints, Lumber, Electrical & Plumbing supplies, Glass cut to size. Everything you need to fix up your home plus great service by a knowledgeable staff.
I can’t give these guys enough praise! I love them! It is the epitome of a neighborhood hardware store, with kind helpful people. They always take their time to see what you might need, are great with suggestions, have helped me with a delivery when it’s too much to carry, and even done some«McGiver-ing» for me, when I couldn’t figure out how to make something work. Really love them! This is a place to support! I’m a long term resident, and these guys reflect what makes this neighborhood so special.

Sugar Hill Hardware is a nice little neighborhood shop. It’s not big but covers the basics just fine. I stopped by one morning to have a key cut. I had barely stepped inside when a gentleman asked me how he could help me. I told him I needed a key cut. He looked at it, told me it would be $ 4, I said fine. He cut the key in like three seconds, and it was a perfect match. They even had the identical blank. I paid and was on my way in seconds. A plus.

Our go to hardware store in the neighborhood for years. Well organized, with a good selection, and helpful people to provide counsel about various household tasks.

Sugar Hill Hardware is a local hardware store that seems very well grounded in the community. Their store can be a little hard to navigate, but fortunately that isn’t a problem since the staff here will greet you at the door with enthusiasm and eagerly assist you in whatever you need. Their prices are nothing to shake a stick at, either, since they are affordable and have a good selection of items to meet your needs. These are the kinds of businesses we should be supporting here in NYC; places that still serve the customer as a whole-picture and not just sit behind the counter yelling«next!»

absolutely love going here. moved into the neighborhood two months ago and have frequented this great little community hardware store for all my household needs. all staff members are incredibly nice and helpful. it’s the kind of place i like to go when i’m feeling down about the way new yorkers treat each other on the street.

I’m a fan of this hardware store. Not only is it organized with all your basic hardware needs, but the staff advised me on the tools I’d need. It even has a bulk bin for nails and screws if you look closely.

Jonathan is phenomenal extremely knowledgeable and helpful. I needed a quick fix for a broken tripod, just looking for some simple superglue to possibly do the trick. Jonathan sold me much better steel epoxy glue, very inexpensive, gave me a some equipment to help mix it, then showed me how to apply it right on the spot. Fantastic.

Love this hardware store. I never know what exactly I’m looking for when I go in there but the guys there are always super helpful and patient. They don’t sell you crap they don’t need ladies! Which if your like me, and don’t know squat about hardware stuff, it’s great! Definitely will keep going to this hardware store. And they seriously have every thing you could possibly need. Doesn’t get much better than this. Love you guys!

Good experiences with this place. For a small store they have ANYTHINGANDEVERYTHING I’ve ever wanted or needed. Who needs Home Depot? Good and friendly and fast service.

I’ve been coming in to NY Hardware House since I moved to the neighborhood several years ago. This place is a perfectly good little hardware store — It has a little bit of everything and the staff is helpful but not overbearing; you can browse around to find what you want and you’re not going to be stared at like you’re planning to steal. The store may not be cheap, but I still come here whenever I need something quick and don’t feel like walking across the 145th Street bridge to Home Depot.
