Got takeout from this place, and the sushi was not bad. It’s located between 107th and 108th and Amsterdam av. I got the specialty rolls and on their website they don’t have the prices so I was surprised at how expensive everything was after the food was delivered. It took a while for them to deliver 3 blocks from the actual restaurant. Not different than most japanese places, but I was satisfied nonetheless.

We traditionally do sushi on Christmas Eve. Suma was close to our apartment so I called to order a party tray with enough for 5 people. I stopped by and let them know all of our food allergies(and there is quite a list) and which ones were our favorites. They put together one tray of rolls and one tray of sushi and sashimi. What a nice spread! It was within our budget, a little more than we needed, and all so very fresh! Suma really made our Christmas Eve special and we look forward to getting our traditional dinner every year from them!

Worst sushi I’ve ever had. It tasted like canned tuna put in the blender with a bunch of mayo. I would never come back here, much less order anything from here on Seamless.

Had a great meal with my whole family over the weekend, it was exactly what I would want in a neighborhood sushi place: vegatable gyoza came in spinach wrappings and were light, fresh, and delicious; fish was really fresh, and cut in good proportions to the sushi rice and other toppings; the music ranged from classical to Miles Davis while we sat, always interesting but never too loud or otherwise overbearing; the service was friendly and helpful. Prices were very reasonable for what we ate. Just right, and we’ll return.

Food is not bad. But it took nearly 30 mins to get my sushi lunch, nothing need to be cooked, and it was just me in the restaurant. Two deliveries went out in the period.

I tried the Alaska roll, spicy tuna roll, spicy orange roll, and broadway roll. The rolls seemed fresh enough, and I enjoyed the Alaska roll. However the rolls that involved spicy tuna and spicy salmon were way too mushy. They are definitely made with too much mayo. I probably would not go back.

Found a staple in my dragon roll tonight. Never ordering here again.

Anybody who gave this place any rating more than three star is either never dined at a Sushi restaurant or simply fake. I doubt if they used real sushi rice because the rice of the salmon sushi I had tasted and felt like regular steamed rice. The fish in the rolls don’t taste fresh either. The waitress doesn’t understand English very well. I order sushi and she brought sushi, after which I discovered that their sushi and sashimi are equally priced. How odd. Rumor had it that this Japanese sushi restaurant is owned by Chinese. I have all respect for Chinese people but when it comes to running a Japanese restaurant, this restaurant doesn’t meet other Japaneses’ ones’ standard.

I ordered delivery from here twice and after that came to the conclusion that it just isn’t that good, or just not what I prefer. However the sushi is decent and for the price it isn’t that bad. In the end, if you’re looking for a cheaper sushi option then this might be a good choice for you. They are also quick with delivery and have never gotten my order wrong. On the other hand, if you’re the kind of person who is picky about their sushi rice, seaweed, fish grade, etc then this place is not going to do it for you.

Every time I’ve been, it’s been good. They aren’t treating you like kings or giving you so much attention — but they don’t forget anything — so it’s good. Delivery for lunch was quick too; 3 roll special is a good deal.

Ordered from them on a Friday night, at 10 or 11PM or so. Lady who answered the phone was very nice, and very knowledgeable of the menu. Food arrived quickly, and was fresh. Even the delivery man was nice, and personally complimented me on my apartment’s wall colors lol. Delivery came within or under 30 minutes. I wish they gave more soy and ginger with delivery, but the Orange {insert something} Roll and the Amsterdam Roll were solid, and quite tasty… and you know what, I think I’m gonna order them again right now lol. Excuse me…

This one is too busy. There are not so many people to do the service. If you do not have enough time like two hours this may delay the thing you want to do after the meal.

Ordered two rolls and gyozas for delivery. The gyozas were cold and chewy, like they were made this morning. The rolls were poorly made and also felt like they were made a longer time ago than when I ordered. Pretty disgusting. They charged me an extra dollar to add mango to a roll. Never ordering here again.

After waiting 1 hour to get my order, I never have been so desappointed with a japanese restaurant. from the rolls to the desert(which is out of the freezer obviously), everything was awful. Yes the price is low … but eat less somewhere else, you’ll be happier!

Convenient, good quality, and affordable on a student budget. It’s a good reliable place to get rolls and sashimi from. I particularly like their spicy sushi sandwich(not a sandwich really but it’s a cute take on the idea of a sandwich. They are a good staple here in Morningside/Manhattan Valley.

Favorite go-to sushi place in the area! We always grab it to-go(the dining room is pretty small, with just a few tables and chairs), and it’s fresh and delicious every time. My personal favorite and the roll I always get is the shrimp tempura – crazy delicious. If you order at the restaurant, you usually have a 10 – 15 minute waiting time for your sushi – fine by me! They do have a $ 15 credit card minimum, FYI.

Ordered through Grubhub. Upon calling the restaurant and requesting some spicy mayo and crunch on the side and being informed of a $ 1.50 charge for a squirt of mayo in a little container, I felt compelled to write this review. I just ordered 50 dollars worth of food. It is an insult to your clientele to grossly overcharge for such small things. Penny wise, pound foolish. I wont order from here again. ****NEVERORDERINGAGAIN Edamame portion is TINY. Oshitashi is TINYANDSMELLSBAD. They completely ignored my request for crunch on the side. And the condescending lady on the phone who barely speaks English doesnt help things either. On the single positive note, the food was delivered quickly. I dont give one star reviews. Heed my warning, at least for take out.

Maybe I went in on a slow day, but the rice tasted a little old and the fish had some«fish bones»(I don’t know the right term for that) in it. But the fish tasted fresh and delicious and I love that the avocado is so soft. Also the lunch special of 3 rolls for 11 $ is great!

I was craving sushi and saw this place had a 2 roll special for $ 8. I thought it was such a deal I had to try it. It wasn’t that great of a deal. Considering how TINY the rolls were(they are actually typically a $ 3.50 — $ 4 roll at any sushi restaurant). I was like EH it’s ok, it’s average priced and just what I wanted. until. I bit into a HUGEBONE in the yellowtail scallion roll. WTF. a huge bone going straight down the middle of the sushi roll. Absolutely disgusting. YOu’d think they noticed it since they’d already pulverized this fish into a million pieces, but nope. They obviously didn’t care enough to remove it. Disgusting. I wish I went to whole foods and just ordered a regular box of rolls, it would have come out to probably even less since the sushi rolls at whole foods are a little bigger, and their fresh is typically very fresh. Guess I wont be coming back.
