The sushi is definitely tasty, but the rolls are small. Delivery consistently takes just a little bit longer than I would like. My main issue is the packaging. We like to order sushi for office lunches, and the sushi is always packaged together with multiple rolls per box, unlabeled, and hard to distinguish from each other. Not my favorite restaurant in the area, but for sushi in Washington Heights it will do!

Meh. Says it all. Small(tiny) rolls, rather flavorless tuna(old, maybe.) Won’t bother to go back.

This is by far, the worst sushi experience. I’m a regular when it comes to sushi, but this place was worst of all. Although the delivery was fast, the food was not good at all. Not only did they give me a «spicy mayo» looking like some disgusting red paste, the sushi was worse, soaked in soy sauce, and not packed in. Every time I picked a piece up it broke apart. Ordered three different rolls l, and all taste the same, dry. This will not be a repeat for me.

Only one left, that’s how good the food is, I forgot to take the pictures. Traditional Japanese in the heights for sure.

People were nice, intimate spacing. They told me they don’t take discover when I went to pay and that was my only payment means so they accepted it even though they normally don’t. I forgot my debit card in the car few blocks down, don’t judge me. I guess our server thought I was broke because when I went to tip he said it was ok lmao but otherwise delicious! The only thing I didn’t like was the salad, wasn’t the usual lettuce I’m used to. I had the tofu lunch box!

I have not found an excellent sushi establishment uptown; however, when I’m craving sushi and I’m uptown this is my go to place. The 3 star rating is for the B grade which is conspicuously hidden near the front door. The sushi is okay and the price is not bad. I’ve had fresher, better quality, and more variety downtown. On the flip side, the staff is always welcoming and they remember my face every time I come. The dessert is hit or miss.

Fast delivery but I ordered a Philadelphia roll which is salmon cucumber and cream cheese. The only thing in the roll was a lot of salmon and normal amount of cream cheese. Cucumber in only 3 pieces that I found on the last 3 pieces I ate. Such a small amount didn’t mater after eating all the other pieces without my cucumber. I am ordering the same dish today and asked them to add cucumber. We’ll see how it goes. The salmon was very good quality though.

Only if you are craving sushi bad… Ordered delivery which came pretty quick and the sushi tastes pretty fresh. Got the spicy tuna roll, shrimp mango avocado roll, shrimp shumai and the Christmas roll. The spicy tuna roll is very good but the rest was boring. Not bad, just boring. With a name like Christmas roll I had high expectations, but it was the most boring one out of all. I did like how they packed everything, very organized. I might try again and get better luck but I know good sushi, and this was not the case unfortunately… Guys, you can do better, step up your game and bring better sushi for us, uptowners.

Clean and fresh sushi, lots of options, tasty appetizers. The staff is friendly and the décor is warm and homey. The prices are fair. We will definitely be back.

First time I went it was ok. Second time NASTYYYY there was a bone in my sushi and it was poorly wrapped. So bad. Never again will I spend money on such terrible sushi. I’ll never cheat on «momma sushi» again.

I absolutely love this place. Cool calm ambiance with excellent service. I am always seated when i walk in and always greated with good energy. Servuce is oretty quick even if youre grabbing it to go. Although I must say it is a small place and not too good for groups, I still enjoy my self there.

I regret giving this place a good review previously. I wish I could give them 0 stars. They got my order wrong and when I called them about it the lady didn’t do anything about it, so I hung up, she was so proud and didn’t even apologize. I wanted a shrimp teriyaki box. That was not what I got. I will never order from them again. I guess that’s how much they care for loyal costumers.

Its a wee bit pricy, but I think this is the best sushi around WaHi or Inwood. The servers are always abnormally friendly and helpful. I’m sure you could sell your soul for tastier Michelin-ranked sushi, but I’m quite pleased to have this as my go-to neighborhood sushi place

A bit overpriced for mediocre sushi. Let me first say, I’ve never had sushi delivered! My boyfriend and I wanted a quiet Friday night at our place so we stayed in. We reluctantly ordered from Sushi Yu since it’s the only sushi place that delivers in the area. We immediately noticed rolls were more expensive than other official sushi restaurants we’ve visited. Isn’t this place kinda fast food sushi? That doesn’t add up. Also, they didn’t have Eel Avocado rolls on the menu which is my favorite roll. Bummer! I ordered the Christmas Roll($ 12.95) which was actually delicious. However, the Spicy Tuna and Spicy Salmon were hard to differentiate and just ok while the Salmon Mango roll was decent. Sushi Yu is nothing to rave about but will probably satisfy your craving. Our total was $ 42, at this price we probably should’ve just gone to Geisha Sushi instead. They are cheaper and much better quality.

I gave this place various of chances, The service is good And i wish I can say the same thing about the food. Both dishes were bland. They both lacked flavors. I literally had to stop my taste buds Other wise I would of taste old food.

I have particular favorites(cucumber eel, spicy tuna/crab, shumai) and always order those. Those classics never fail, and I have ordered multiple times online and in the restaurant to sit down and eat. Sometimes the service in the restaurant isn’t great. One time the waiter completely forgot to bring my friend his entrée, and we were all done by the time they brought it out. Not good. On food alone, I would give 4 stars. A little pricey. But their sushi rolls ARE quite good.

Solid place — Nabeyaki udon that doesn’t taste like it came straight out of a plastic pouch, plus sashimi that’s fresh and not overly iced. I only order delivery from them, so I’m not sure how good the actual place is, but it all checks out.

Cute Japanese restaurant in the heights. Sushi is mediocre in every respect. Atmosphere is alright. If you come here for good quality or good value you will be disappointed. I rarely give low ratings to restaurants but this one truly deserves some constructive criticism. Please, either make fresher, tastier sushi or lower the price by 50%. There are better options in the neighborhood.

I’ve been eating here since they opened. And their prices to serving size ratio is getting out of control. I just spent $ 23 on a cucumber asparagus avocado(pieces the size of my thumbnail) and a rainbow roll that really tasted like a California roll at best, not to mention the portion was the same as a California roll with just a hefty price tag. I am sad because it’s decent sushi but I can seriously get twice the amount at Whole Foods at Columbus Circle now. It didn’t used to be like that.

I craving sushi for the whole week and I bumped into this place. I order to go the 3 rolls lunch combo. They served me in about 10 minutes, pretty fast! Miso soup and salad are included. The sushi was average, not impressive. A piece of the salmon roll was not good tho, too hard to chew and I had to spit it at the end! But the rest was… Yes average. I might go here again if I’m close by, cos the philadelphia roll was good, with smoked salmon and spring onions.
