Worst TGI Friday’s I’ve ever been to. They charge triple prices on food, even appetizers, over other Friday’s. Even over the ones within a half mile. Total tourist trap. Avoid.

Would have loved to eat here but the service was beyond poor. Do not attend this business unless you have half hour to sit and wait to waste time or unless you need a spot to sit for a half an hour in an air conditioned environment. No one is going to attend to you. Ridiculous! Came here on a friday and the service was just terrible! I WILLNEVERRETURNAND I ADVISEOTHERSNOTTOGO!

Let me tell when I say do not go to this Friday’s on 34th please go to another one in the city. First of all I went today the wait was 20 mins which I didn’t mind at all. Today was extremely busy the chef was so off with customers orders. One last the food selection were incorrect and another lady beside there was a hair in her plate. My drinks were totally wrong the food wait was 30 – 45 mins to get our meal even though he waiter told us. My waiter was very overwhelmed by his other customers that they just threw his whole mood off. He was very kind to me but I can see it in his face he was overwhelmed. I definitely tip him because you know he tried but the chefs in the back my meal was horrible. They forgot my rice so I had to wait. Overall I wouldn’t suggest to go there again. They do have on underground in pen station there drinks and food is on point!!! Great job Dale and Thor but the chefs were awful.

By far the worst service I have ever experienced. EVER. It was a Friday night(like around 1030pm) and my friend and I were just getting out of work and decided to go there because it’s close to work and we wanted to get a drink and share an appetizer. I will first say the floor seemed empty and they looked fully staffed. We wait about 10 minutes before the server took our orders. We we ordered two drinks for the both of us and appetizers. I’ll first say they didn’t even have the tables properly set up with no napkins or silverware… huh? How can we eat with no napkins or silverware?!? The food comes out about 30minutes later WESTILLHAVENOTRECEIVEDOURDRINKSSILVERWARENAPKINSOR A GLASSOFWATER. Like at this point I can’t even deal so I ask for utensils and water and the girl had such a nasty attitude… like isn’t it your job to do this kind of stuff? By the time she came back with utensils we were basically done with our food. But still have yet to receive our drinks. She said the bar is understaffed which I understand and I wasn’t even mad about it. Once we get our $ 17 drinks it literally didn’t taste like alcohol was in it. Like are you serious? It tasted like some fruity drink you can get at Duane trade. We talk to the waiter and she brings up the manager from the bar. HEISLITERALLYBYFARTHEBIGGESTPIECEOFCRAP I HAVEEVERMETINMYLIFEANDSHOULDBEFIREDBYTHEWAYHEMANAGESTHEEMPLOYEESANDTREATSTHECUSTOMERS. He was beyond rude, disrespectful and just an a**. He was arguing about how much alcohol was in there. It was to the point he clearly wasn’t going to fix it. I could tell by the waiters faces this was something that has occurred numerous times as far as him being mean to guests. Oh well my friend and I just give our Money to someone else.

A friend and I walked in here on a tuesday at around 1pm we were served by a waitress named jazzelle she was really nice, we ordered our meals with a green tea, she came out with the wrong tea but she noticed before we did and quickly grabbed us the other tea and apologised, she was super nice. Then the chef brang out our meals and OMG it was cooked to perfection.(if a slim lightskin guy walks out with your food its gonna be) but yea I see the other reviews were bad but we got great service from the guys at tgi on 8th

I gave one star ONLY because of the location and the mashed potatoes. The food is super expensive! A burger(meat and cheese) with fries no drink — - $ 19! That is all I wanted and I didn’t order it because it just wasn’t worth it! I can get that at a grocery store with fries and a drink for $ 6! I ended up telling the waiter to take out that order because I didn’t want it! The place inside is so squished up! The tables are so close together and it’s hard to sit without bumping into someone and everyone walking by either bumps into you as you’re sitting or you have to hear«excuse me» every 2 minutes! My boyfriend and I went to the second floor and saw a sign that says«wait to be seated» so we waited for 5 minutes and no waiter was there to assign us our table so we just sat. I stood up and told my boyfriend I didn’t want to be there because of horrible costumer service and so I started to look up near by restaurants on my phone. The manager then approached us and asked if we were seated there and I told her no we waited for 5 minutes and no one came so she got a waiter and sent her to us. The waiter moved us to a two seater table. We were so uncomfortable where we were seated. I asked for a kids menu and I was told I couldn’t order from there because of age! Let’s be honest at every restaurant I’ve been to I HAVE been able to order from the kids menu because it is included in the restaurant menu. That pissed me off. So I ended up not ordering anything and my boyfriend ordered shrimp with fries and mashed potatoes and we each got a cup of coke or Pepsi. My boyfriend didn’t like his food so that annoyed me! The fries had a lack of taste but the mashed potatoes we both enjoyed quite a lot. I am a picky eater and I have never liked mashed potatoes from restaurant but this one I enjoyed! My boyfriend said the shrimps weren’t clean and he LOVES fries so for him not to enjoy the fries that annoyed me! My boyfriend ended up having to pay $ 40 for that meal and that got me pissed off because we had a horrible experience and for that money we could have both gotten filled up somewhere else! Oh and the 2 cokes came up to a total of $ 7.98! Horrible horrible place with horrible service and horrible food and horrible prices! I didn’t want to tip the waiter a penny but my boyfriend and I don’t like giving bad impressions so we left what was leftover from $ 40 which was $ 2.25!

Horrible. My girlfriends and I stopped in before our train left, for a dessert and a drink. We were tired and just looking for something sweet after an absolutely wonderful day in NYC. The first thing I noticed upon entering is how filthy it was. Also, I get that is was 11:20(I have waitressed before), but if you close at 12 we have every right to be seated and treated with respect. We were simply told to «go upstairs» and nothing more. Upon arriving in the messy, disorganized«upstairs» we had no idea where to sit. It was only after we asked did a female waitress usher us to a back table by a dirty work area. The waiter sarcastically introduced himself by saying his name and that he was«single». My friend asked for a blended peppermint drink only to be informed that there was«no blender». Um… okay. How can a chain restaurant with a popular bar not have a blender?! I asked for an Oreo Madness«only if you have it.» From the waiter’s snarl I doubted it. Sure enough, «I don’t think so.» The waiter then walked off to close a check before getting my other friend’s order! And she hadn’t told him she was not ready. When he came back my other girlfriend asked for a small sundae. «Look», the waiter said, «we don’t specialize in desserts and we are out of whipped cream and cherries.» It’s a bar, a *bar* so how can they be out of cherries? «But you can sit and drink water.» He said. Okay. I’m thinking that The waiter wanted to get the heck out on a Saturday night and simply did not feel like making up desserts! Unbelievable! We left. I will certainly be addressing this with corporate headquarters and I will not be giving any of my business to this company again. Solely disappointed.

If this is acceptable dinning in NYC, then apparently no one has ever eaten at a TGIF outside of the city. Pasta was barely cooked. Chicken was burnt. Salad took 45 minutes to come out. Horrendous food and service slow as @#$&.

If only it was possible to give zero stars, that’s what I would give this place. The service is absolutely horrendous, though the re-designed décor is quite nice. We waited almost 2 hours to get one of our companion meal, and all but one person’s sides were completely messed up. I spoke to the manager and we did receive a discount, however that doesn’t make up for the absolutely horrendous service, plus the food wasn’t up to bar. I will not cost again.

This is th worst this I’ve been to. The wait was way too long for our food. I usually never write a bad review but this location… I just have to. The food was sub par. The waiter… maybe it just wasn’t a good day for him. I will never come here again. A waste of 74.20. Never again

You’re in penn station… You’re in the amtrak terminal… You want to celebrate a personal victory. What to do? Come in and order yourself a beer. Service is ok and the beer is at least, cold… Not a huge variety, mind you. But if you want something basic for $ 7 then have yourself a celebratory drink. At least you can have a seat at the bar and watch what you’ve missed on espn. Not great, not bad. You know where you are, so enjoy the journey.

This was the first time I’ve been to a TGI Friday’s, and I am fairly certain I’ll never go back. After being seated at a dirty booth, we were given ice water that tasted like dirty dishwasher/metal pipes, and the waiter had bad B.O. Ick. I was ordering the pick-3 appetizer thing when the waiter told me that two of the items were unavailable, so I chose my first choice and two alternate choices. About ten minutes after ordering, he returns and tells me that they didn’t have ANOTHER one of my choices. At this point I just choose whatever was left as a choice. When the food came — over half an hour later — most of it was cold… but overall it tasted fine. When we got the check, we wanted to split it onto two cards. My friend’s credit card has his picture on it, so when the waiter came he only grabbed MY card and left the other one behind!(I’m assuming he thought it was an ID?! But still… WHAT?!) We tried to stop him but he waved us off and put the ENTIREBILL on my card! Was looking forward to trying it out, but I will never be going back here. Not a pleasant experience. Definitely not worth $ 45.

This is the worst restaurant I ever been in this I been in America. They mess up a pasta dish by putting to much salt, and a steak dish by over cooking it when asked for it to be medium. I never got a refill of my water the whole time I was there. And the waiter was impossible to get his attention, never going there again !!!

One of the worst experiences ive ever had at a restaurant. I have patience considering I’ve been in the industry for 8years but it seems like everything that you can imagine to go wrong at a restaurant went wrong. Opportunities: — Never asked for a refill. Was on empty about 3 times, the server had only two small tables and his attention to detail & lack of a sense of urgency was easily highlighted by my table and the other table. — server was seen texting on the floor and showing his manager what he was doing on his phone as they both joked and scrolled through the phone together. — Food came out in 20min and was cold and hard(boneless wings). I asked for a manager who never came. The manager was only seen on the floor to laugh and look at phone pictures with the server. However he comped the wings off, and the server did not offer anything else. I just paid for my drinks for me and my friends. The only positive about this visit was the margaritas… –__– I will not highlight the server name or manager who was working but if anyone wants this Friday’s to improve considering its right across from the world famous MSG; I strongly recommend to an experienced General Manager who can turn this entire establishment around … lay down some serious expectations and hold EVERYONE accountable!!! No excuse… locals and tourists need great restaurants to dine with great hospitality, service & great quality and presentation of food & drink.

Came In On A Sunday At 9p. Waited By The«Please Wait To be Seated» Sign. It Took Like 10mins For Someone To Seat Us(Pretty Sure It Was A random Busser walking by tho) Décor: Ewww. Walls Are Dirty. Floors are Dirty. Tables dirty Service: eh… Gave us our sodas pretty quick but food took really long even tho it was pretty much empty in there. He didn’t check on us at all and didn’t provide us with napkins until about 15mins into eating. All of the servers including ours looked totally dingy. Like they came from off the streets or something or been wearing the same dirty clothes for 2wks. Food: had the new burger they’re promoting. Super greasy. Boring. Bacon was so stale, hard and greasy. I actually had to take it out of the burger! Who doesn’t love bacon? My bestie had a sampler. The chicken was super salty. Potato skins were old. Marinara sauce looked like it was sitting for like 2 days. Would I recommend: hell no !

I stopped in here yesterday on my way home from NY with my son. The place stinks like spilled IPA as soon as you walk in… almost as if the floor wasn’t mopped the night before. We stood by the«please wait to be seated» for a few minutes before being told by a seated(?) hostess by the bar, to go upstairs for table service. We went upstairs, say 4 servers/workers sitting in booths, was ignored by all of them, sat ourselves and waited 10 mins. After deciding to leave, we were approached by an indifferent server who really didn’t care if we left or not. We went to the Fridays in Penn station and it was awesome!

This place is really not that nice of a sight, man. The floors are dirty and the booth seats are worn out and old. Waiters were all not that friendly. My celery sticks were dried up and my glass wasn’t too clean. All in all I will never come back to this place and I can not recommend for anyone to go there either. So many good places in the city I don’t know why I went in the first.

PROS: — Service: seemed pretty decent considering when we arrived it was pretty empty for lunch so they were a bit more attentive to us. — Loaded Potato Skins(appetizer) — really yummy however you can get full from eating this. I had 4 pieces out of the 10 and I was pretty full. Anything with Bacon and cheese is always good. =) MEH: — dish with chicken topped with cheese on a sizzling platter, mash potatoes, bell peppers, and 6 pieces of shrimp. Definitely not worth your money. The Chicken was dry. Bell peppers are not my thing. Mash potatoes were decent. The shrimp and the cheese was the highlight of this dish. Shrimp was flavorful. CONS: — Expensive. I have had better food than TGIF for less the price. — Restaurant looks unclean and greasy. Even their menus are greasy.

Don’t do it. The girls and I were attending a dental meeting right across the street at the New Yorker Hotel. We had an hour break for lunch before our meeting continued, and this is what they chose. I was outnumbered. The day we visited, things we really disorganized. Our dishes were mixed up with another tables. Our server was not all that attentive. The food wasn’t that good. It didn’t taste all that fresh and looked just OK. I’ve been to T.G.I. Friday’s a few times while growing up in VA. It was never this bad.
