The restaurant screwed up the order, was very late, and the food was under AND over cooked. I spent $ 13.07 for 5 rubbery shrimps, partially cooked rice, undercooked vegetables, and half my Thai Iced Tea was spilled in the bag. And to top it off, the delivery guy was rude &INSISTED upon me giving back the incorrect order AFTER knowing I had already opened the container. Can you say Health Code Violation?! I normally recommend Tai Thai to everyone I know, but I want be doing that anymore. Today will be my last day EVER doing business with them.

My friend wanted something spicy, something Thai, and somewhere close to hers. That was how she found this place. We ordered satay chicken, and spicy chicken wings to start. The satay sauce was very nice, and my friend totally dig that. Wings for me were a little dry and the spicy sauce tasted like a sweet and sour Cantonese sauce with a hint of spice which I wasn’t fuss about. For the mains, we had the red curry and their special fried prawn. The red curry was lovely with a good amount of spiciness, however I didn’t really like the special fried prawn as it tasted exactly like the spicy prawn sauce From the started but a bit sweeter. O… Did I mention the cocktail? The cocktail tasted very well mixed, I was hardly able to detect the alcohol in it but at the same time you can tell there is a fair amount…

Just warm and friendly overall from the entrance to ordering. The pad thai was quite tasty and very generous with the lunch portion, I’ll definitley be back!

I ordered the pad Thai and let me tell you it was probably the best I’ve ever had. I’ve tried other places and they are not half as good. Would totally recommend!

My girlfriend and I order dinner on seamless 4−5x /week. Over the last two years, we’ve tried many restaurants in our area to find what our favorites are. We order from Tai Thai about 70% of the time. The food is very solid, and they will substitute rice with an amazing little side salad with bomb peanut dressing. Staples in our home: cashew nut chicken/shrimp tom kha soup bbq or baked half-chicken panang curry diced shrimp and chicken in basil any of the duck dishes

Pros and cons 2.5 stars QUICK I ordered my seamless order for pick up as soon as I got off the subway which is right next to restaurant. I waited inside for it to be ready and they were quick! —pad kee mao: I got this with shrimp, the shrimp were pretty overcooked! Although Noodles were a nice chewy consistency. OMGTHEAMOUNTOFOIL in this dish, my last bites were practically swimming in grease! Tastewise you can definitely find better thai —thai tea: they serve a good one here, not too sweet NOTE: apparently they have happy hour specials

Since many others have already reviewed this place, I will only reiterate: The spiciness of the food can be extreme! My Thai basil stir-fry was nearly too hot to handle, even though there wasn’t any special menu demarcation of this being a super spicy dish. We ordered take-out through Seamless, so couldn’t send it back, or ask for reduced heat. The vegetable spring rolls are stuffed with 1⁄8 portion of veggies and the rest glass noodles. It seems like a cheap move, and makes them bland and carby. At $ 4.95 for 2, this is not a good deal. Food quality seems average, while prices are above average. I wouldn’t go out of my way to order from here again.

Bland tasting food, and worst customer service ever. My friend ordered the chicken Rama and took 2 bites and it was like rubbery fried chicken, he asked to get something else instead and they said they would still have to charge him for what he ordered because they cooked it. I insisted on not paying for food that we didn’t like after 2 bites and just left and paid for my meal which was also bland and boring. Definitely don’t recommend eating here for the food is so bland and uninspired boring and worst customer service. There are so many good Thai restaurants in NYC and this is on the bottom.

Unfortunately sometimes you get what you pay for. Anywhere in NYC that has a meal special for $ 5.95(think that may be cheaper than most fast food chains at this point… but I wouldn’t know since I avoid those places like the plague) is a bit iffy. Anyways, it was way past lunchtime and I was about to get hangry so I allowed my husband to lead me into this place. I was reassured by the A grade. Pad Thai was very… um, wet. I guess it’s to be expected that I had to add the chile sauce to finish the meal. Nothing like the amazing food we had in Chiang Mai in Thailand. Plus the service was slow despite only another couple at a table next to us and a guy getting takeout. I think it’s got to be possible to find a decent meal for in NYC below $ 20/entrée…just not here. :/

Horrible! Avoid please. Save your money. Food: horrible. Ordered pad thai chicken. Overloaded with wine vinegar, noodles were soggy, maybe 3pieces of chicken, sourness was overloading. Eggplant salad: so bad had to send back. Drinks: sake, tasted like vinegar as well, I wish they made better pad thai chicken :(

Needed a quick bite before an event. Small place, simple menu; but the food was really tasty. Service was OK, price was reasonable.

I ordered from this place last night and it was the worst experience I have ever had ordering Thai delivery. Instead of sending me a pint of rice with my curry, they sent me a half-filled container with SOMEONEELSE’S LEFTOVERS. When I called the restaurant to tell them about it, the woman on the phone laughed. In addition to this disgusting mishap, the noodle’s in the pad thai we also ordered were cold and clumped together when they arrived. Absolutely horrible food and service. We had to throw everything out and eat something else.

Thee best Thai food I ever had! I love the fried calamari, the yellow curry shrimp and rice, and oh the Thai iced tea with milk!

Off the bat, staff was very friendly. $ 5.50 for vanilla ice cream and a fried banana was decent but my «coconut sticky rice with banana» was less than a bite. The table they seated us at rocked like a boat. We tried to move tables but they all rocked?! The tables/menus/even forks were very dusty. Probably not coming back here.

Always craving Amazing Thai, so of-course when Im extra hungry and spot it near by I’m there immediately! Ordered from their lunch menu. $ 10 gets you a pretty sufficient amount of food. It was SO dang spicy though! I couldn’t eat it, after asking for a cream(coconut cream or whatever they had to lessen the heat) it was still waaay to hot! Yes, my tolerance to spicy food has decreased but not this much. Bummer. The place was also so empty but somehow the service seemed slow. If I ever make it back there again I will make sure to Emphasize the NOOOOT Spicy Please: D

I’ve only ordered the food through seamless so I can’t comment on their in house service but they’re my go-to for Thai. And I’ve gotta think that if their take out is good then the food in the restaurant has gotta be better. — The papaya salad is refreshingly crispy and has the right amount of kick — the pad see yew portions are good and the noodles have the right consistency, not hard and not mushy. I’ve ordered some Thai take out where the noodles haven’t been cooked thoroughly enough so they’re hard and still stuck together — we’ve ordered the green curry on multiple occasions and the portions are huge so we never end up finishing it. Though it’s spicy as hell so it’s hard to finish a full bowl because your mouth is burning so much. It’s good but just a bit too spicy for our tastes — Thai fried rice with tofu and veggies: we started ordering this in place of green curry. Very good as well, not too salty as some places tend to go overboard with the soy sauce Also the portions for take out for two people are decent, we always end up with left overs

Really good Thai food! Small and hole in the wall-esque but don’t let that throw you! If you want to have a drink(alcoholic) with dinner make sure you BYO as their license has expired, even though they still have drinks on the menu.

Been coming here for four years now. Spent plenty of money and have ordered plenty of dishes, it’s my favorite restaurant in New York City, although it isn’t for everyone. Firstly, the store is quite small, so large groups may have trouble sitting together. If you’re bringing more than 6 people, you would definitely want to come during off-peak hours, or find somewhere else to eat. Secondly, it’s not the cheapest place to eat, especially if you’re a student or on a tight budget. But, the portions are huge, one entrée will most certainly be enough for one person, in fact, two appetizers and an entrée should be enough for most couples.(Also, get the Thai Iced Tea, you have to, no arguments) The staff is super nice, it’s a very friendly and warm atmosphere. The music can range from very traditional to pop and modern depending on the day. There are lovely posters and decorations everywhere, and food is served rather quick. All in all, I highly recommend this restaurant to couples or small groups of 6 or less. It’s usually pretty empty during the day, and can get really crowded and busy during the night. The seafood is really good too, so don’t be afraid to get some shrimp or mixed seafood if you’re in the mood. Personal recommendations for first-timers: Pad Thai with Chicken & Thai Iced Tea.(With Curry puffs as an appetizer if you’re really hungry, I don’t like Calamari, but my friends who I take say their Calamari is really good too.)

If you are in the area and want thai, this is it. Favorite Thai in the LES for me but it’s not exceptional. The food is served quick and prices are very reasonable. The tables aren’t big so if you are planning to go with a group of 7 or more, i don’t see how you’ll be sitting together. Satay chicken all day people!
