Pretty ordinary pizza and nothing much to talk about. Hummus is good. Ambience is good. We ordered chickpotle pizza

The Mac and cheese is pretty bland and completely not delicious The pizza crust it great, the chipotle chicken was shockingly very tasty! Even with the pineapple. Meet lovers was too robust and overpoweringly seasoned. I would happily order again

I’ve tried nearly every type of pizza on their menu and I loved them all, quality ingredients and all in satisfying amounts. Their sandwiches are also very tasty and toasted just right. I mainly go there for lunch and could never go wrong with anything on the menu. Most of all my favorite out of everything is their Lasagna. I mean it mouthwatering when it comes out, it has the right amount of everything in it. The tomatoe sauce sends chills down my spine from how good it is. I even hired them to cater a lunch and the caterer/cook Jennifer(I think that was her name) had the office buzzing. Lots of people were thanking me for how good the food tasted. The desserts were being scooped up by te handful and many in the office didn’t get any, but that’s how good they looked. The bruschetta also went real fast. The amount of garlic bread that we were given was also tasty. Beside the lasagna, I had me a second plate with just garlic bread and sauce. I was good for the day!

The pizza was fine, but honestly I enjoyed my salad even more! I had a custom personal pie with cheese, pineapple, and arugula. I like the crispy thin crust style, and it was tasty but nothing to get too excited about. The spinach salad we had for an appetizer was the thing that I’d make one of my go-to takeout items if I lived here: spinach, goat cheese, dried cranberries, pecans, and apples in a light vinaigrette. Yeah, it’s nothing fancy, but it was delicious and the ratio of all the ingredients was perfect! It’s a cozy, pretty loud little place with super fast service, even when they’re packed.

Stayed around the corner from Tappo and the hotel recommended it so thought I would give it a try. I had planned to get pizza but once I saw one, decided against it as the pizza was not thin crust but more like cracker crust it was so thin. So, instead, I ordered a casear salad and the pappadelle carbonara. And a glass of wine. The wine came, not in a wine glass, but rather a slightly smaller version of my water glass. First I thought they were out of wine glasses but looked around and saw that no one had one. Wanted to ask the bartender but he had disappeared. He came back with my salad and immediately disappeared again but this time, I needed help as when I unrolled my fork and knife, a big piece of lettuce fell out and there was residue of said lettuce on both fork and knife. Since it is a small place and I was right by the hostess stand, I retrieved a new set myself. Happily eating my salad, I was about half through when my entrée arrived. Decided to put it aside to dig into the pasta which was good but odd. The sauce was tasty with nice chicken pieces in it but the mushroom was cut in chunks and so was the bacon which made it really odd to eat, especially since in was pretty dark and I couldn’t tell which was which until I bit into it. Flavors were good but the texture made it an odd bite. I finished, someone appeared over my shoulder and whisked away my plate and again, no bartender to bring a check. I waited, and waited and finally someone who looked like maybe the owner was pouring beer for someone else. He looked at my empty glass and credit card in hand but did nothing until I asked for the check. He was quick to get it once I did but I felt like I was troubling him to do so. For food alone I would give them 3 stars but the service dragged them down to a 2. They have great potential so maybe it was just an off night.

Becoming a regular in this place but that’s okay. The food is great. Try everything especially the wine.

If you’re going for the pizza, its amazing and absolutely perfect. We got the one with roasted garlic and meditterranean. I gave jt four stars for a two reasons. 1) we tried to get a reservation for 18 ppl and they ask you to Put an enquiry online. It took me three calls prior to having someone call me back. Not sure if I want to spend that much time getting a reservation. 2) The bruchetta was awful. It had no garlic in the pesto or tomatoes and the bread was cold. So DONOTGETIT. The most underwhelming bruschetta I’ve ever had. Otherwise, love the pizza!

I used to come here for lunch breaks. Service has been inconsistent, and food is alright. The thing that keeps me coming back is the lunch special and it’s close to my old office. FOOD3⁄5 I can only comment on their pasta dishes and the side salad it comes with. The taste is fine but it so so so greasy. There is a pool of oil and I can never finish the end bits of my pasta. I’m no iron chef but I’m pretty sure a Carbonara is tossed in raw egg not straight oil. The salad app it comes with is good though. Drink included too. SERVICE3⁄5 Hit or miss. I’ve been here twice, the first time we were served water and orders taken in less than 10 minutes. The second time we had to wave down servers and were glanced at, then walked right past. Don’t know what their grife was but our table of 11 weren’t happy. Also it took a while for the food to come, and with a one hour lunch break, we did politely ask them to be snappy. ATMOSPHERE4⁄5 Great atmosphere. Ideal for a casual, quick lunch. However, my second visit there was a jackhammer going off in the background and we had to shout to talk to each other. No bueno. PRICE4⁄5 I have only come here for their lunch specials which is $ 7 – 12 on average. I think it’s reasonable for the area had their service and food been better.

Came here with a group of 5 people for lunch on a weekday. It was kind of difficult getting seated. They told us the wait would only be 10 minutes but it took almost half an hour to get a table. There were plenty of tables for smaller parties so I would recommend coming with 4 or less. The pizza itself was pretty good. Thin almost cracker like crust just like how Marta does it with blunter and less sophisticated flavoring. We liked the cheese and sausage pizzas. We heard good things about the shroomtown but it was honestly kind of bland. The pasta was meh. We got the bolognese which was cooked al dente but had a mushy consistency. Overall would recommend if you work or happen to be in the area but not a food destination to go out of your way for.

When this place opened I was super excited, basically because of the smell and well it’s Pizza and thin crust. At the time of opening I was strictly Gluten free, and well that time has been some years now. Fast forward to the present day and well… The Mac and cheese with garlic bread was too runny like Kraft Mac and cheese. Garlic bread was good though, so props there. Salad was fine. They pile on the ingredients unmixed. Our friend preferred the salad mixed. We requested they mix it and they did, just nothing spectacular. The chickpotle was very good. I was worried about the pineapple in it, but it was a nice mix, I’d probably popped back in for the chickpotle again. The classica underwhelmed us, we thought we would try it to see how… well the classic would be. Classic but forgettable. My friend ordered a cookie and was brought a slice of cake, hmm the service definitely was lacking on our visit. We let the waitstaff know about the mix up and they seemed like they didn’t understand. I left a bit agitated. I would probably return for the Chickpotle pizza but wouldn’t run back because of the service.

Clearly I loved the pizza here. OK so I may be inconsistent in my pizza joint rankings but I’ll try to explain myself. Is this the best pizza I’ve ever had? Prolly not. But is this as good as it gets in terms of thin crust? I’ma have to say«yes». We had the sausage, ‘shroom, and meat lovers. We loved all of them with the edge going to the ‘shroom(truffley goodness). Add in a casual but nice ambiance and great service and I’m hooked. Granted it was raining and there weren’t that many people in the place. But I’m giving them the nod… 5-stars

Pretty delicious pizza. Thin crust for sure. We got a split of the Shroomtosn and the Parma. The Parma is insanely delicious. So much so that I was thinking about getting another pie of just Parma. I wouldn’t recommend the Shroomtown. It’s too much hype with all that tuffle oil nonsense. It does has flavor but it’s definitely lacking compared to Parma. Overall, new addiction.

My new favorite restaurant! Located in the flatiron area, really close walk from Penn station and to bars. We got there around 9pm on a saturday night and waited 15 minutes for a booth. The service was great, the waiters were very friendly, and accommodated all our requests and were patient. The food is delicious, well portioned, and affordable. Between for of us, we got the large pesto pizza, large shroomtown pizza, quinoa avocado salad, small el greco pie, and spinach salad. Needless to say, we had more than enough food. I lovveeeeeddd the shroomtown pizza, it was delicious and amazingly thin but sturdy enough to not crumble. The quinoa avocado salad was tasty, but we opted to switch the cheese for bocconcini mozzarella which was great. My only critique is that I wish they had more of the avocado in the salad as they only had one small chunk for the whole large salad. The pesto pizza was a bit too thin and kind of dry, possibly because it was overcooked. The el greco was loaded with veggies, so its great if you want that, but it weighed down the crust so the pizza kind of crumbled in the middle and fell apart. Had a great night at dinner and will definitely be back!

Delicious pizza but the slow service, even for take out, really discourages me to come. Today I walked in and ordered two slices of pizza from their lunch special menu assuming those are already pre-made so should be quick. I also tipped to make sure I get a good service but it took them 15 min to grab two slices of pizza. I love their pizza but I try to avoid this place unless I have time to kill.

My friend and I stopped in here for a late night snack and sat at the bar. We ordered some drinks and a personal pie to share. We went with the meat lovers and wow was it good! The crust was so thin and crispy and the mix of sausage and extra large pepperoni slices delivered great flavor. The rest of the menu here looked good with lots of different salad choices and apps. Also nice happy hour deal, free large pie if you order a pitcher of beer or bottle of wine.

I’m pretty sure Tappo is under the same ownership/management as Vezzo and Posto which are both within reasonable walking distance of this location. These restaurants often get packed during mealtimes but for good reason– their thin, crispy pizzas are amazing. If you prefer toppings to crust then this is the place for you, as the pizzas are virtually crustless. The mushroom pie is excellent as is the meat lovers. I would recommend you come with a group so you can order a selection of pizzas and try several different flavors! Prices are fair and what you’d expect from a pizza joint(aka pretty cheap), drinks are lovely as well.

Was so excited to try this place since I read the article about 10 best restaurants in Flatiron recently. It was not bad, but not very impressive; just typical thin pizza place I will say. We went to this place for lunch and ordered two Lunch Special Menus; One personal size plain pizza + Large salad for 16 and Chicken sandwich for 10 Also we got a deal for $ 5 beer or house wine with this lunch special. Pizza was nothing special but very light and crispy. Sandwich bread was too hard to chew but the ingredients were okay. Salad was lack of the flavor and too much walnuts… Servers were just okay not really friendly. I am not sure if I would come back this place later. At least it wasn’t 10 best restaurants in Flatiron…

Stopped here for a quick lunch while walking around the city to enjoy one of their pizzas & salad! We ordered just a plain cheese pizza & the crust was super thin & very light! Not too greasy & topped with the perfect amount of cheese! We also ordered the beet salad which was pretty flavorful! It was topped with delicious goat cheese on a bed of arugula! Definitely a great lunch spot! Service was great & speedy!

The order: a lunch special, one personal plain pie with house salad and homemade Arnold Palmer. Arnold Palmer was more lemonade than anything. A little sour for my tastes. Salad was, you know, salad. Fresh ingredients, good helping. But let’s be honest, no one is here for the salad. Now this PIZZA. This tasty cracker crust that doesn’t get soggy, despite the melty cheese. The homemade sauce with basil throughout, bringing it all together — THIS is what we are here for. It’s a great size for a personal pizza, the whole special filling me out nicely without stuffing me til I had to waddle out. Clearly fresh, homemade, and perfected over years. Delightful. Service was polite, and of average speed. Décor has a touch of the rustic to it, and the ambiance, for lunch at least, was busy but charming. All told, it’s not quite worth crossing boroughs for, but the 15 minute walk from Penn was definitely validated.

The pizza was really delicious: crispy crust! Located just off Broadway, you need to walk west to find the place on 24th street. It’s a pleasant discovery!
