Tastings NYC

Tasting NYC is now open for dinner, what a germ in the neighborhood! My husband and I could not be happier. The restaurant is well decorated, and charming. The staff was very nice, (thanks Chris for a wonderful service this evening!), and the food… DELICIOUS. The dishes were creative, refine, very fresh, nutritious, very tasty, and very well presented. I am personally vegetarian and I was nicely surprised to find some wonderful vegetarian options which is hard to find in the neighborhood. The desserts are sublime as well :)

I wholeheartedly recommend Tastings NYC for whatever event you need catered. We used Tastings to cater our wedding on June 6, 2015 and they made the experience truly one of the most memorable nights of our lives. They were meticulous, helpful and easy to work with. They accompanied us to pick out linens and rentals and we heard so many compliments from our guests about the service, the food and the rentals. Everything that Tastings touched was absolutely fantastic. We couldn’t have asked for anything better from them! To be clear, the food was some of the best food we have ever had and everyone raved about our specialty cocktails. Definitely try the Pisco Sour if you get the chance.

My son-​in-​law is a professional chef himself but I convinced him to use Tastings to cater his wedding celebration which was continuous hor d’hoevres and cocktails for 4 hours at a very elegant venue in Manhattan. The food was exceptional and the fabulous staff kept the different, delicious food coming all night. They remembered the drinks people wanted and were as professional, extremely polite and sophisticated in handling all aspects of the evening. My son-​in-​law and daughter thanked me profusely at the end of the evening and said it was the best night of their life. They loved the food and the service and all my guests loved it as well.

Tastings came by recommendation from a friend of mine. I hired them to cater a private scotch tasting event with 70 guests on October 3^rd. From the very beginning I was impressed with Tastings. Laura was very accommodating and willing to work with my budget, and was quick to answer any questions. Not once did she get frustrated with me, even though we went through several rounds of revisions before finalizing our menu and services.
Samples of hors d’oeuvres were sent to me prior to the event so I could ensure I liked my menu selections. They were all delicious!
Laura did a walk through of the event space to familiarize her staff with the space beforehand, and to ensure there were no additional tables, table cloths, coat racks etc. needed on her side.
The day of the event all of the staff were very professional and friendly. There was a mixup with the white wine I ordered (from a wine delivery service) and Laura and her staff were quick to find a solution. They found a nearby wine store and went over with me to select a white wine that complimented our menu.
All of my guests continue to praise the hors d’oeuvres, especially the cake bon bons. And I can’t praise Tastings enough! From start to finish, they were very hands-​on and made the planning process a breeze. I highly recommend using Tastings for any catering needs. I will definitely be using them again!

I love the sophisticated touch Tastings puts on everything they do — from every menu selection to the presentation. They are home to very professional and talented chefs that meticulously create custom menus. Can’t wait until my next Tasting! :)
