Tette Club

Where do I start? If the owner of tette wants to have a high class club in the heights then there is a lot that has to be changed. This passing Saturday May 9^th 2015 I booked a bday package with a promoter at this club. The bottle service packages weren’t bad. 5 bottles for 350 two of which are the free champagne with taxes it’s $ 440, they have a $ 250 package one of the bottles is a champagne with taxes it is $ 310. Then they have a «SIlver Package» which includes 2 bottles of choice and 2 Moët rose for $ 650 with taxes is $ 835. This club is what we New Yorkers call «ratchet city». Definitely not for a young classy crowd. More for like teens. Not only did we have a bday package. Everyone in the party still had to pay $ 20 entrance fee. In my opinion if someone is buying a table they shouldn’t get charged the door fee. We decided to order two drinks at the bar which came out to $ 27. For ciroc and pineapple and a ciroc with cranberry. That means it’s $ 13.50 a drink. The credit card machine weren’t working so they only accepted cash so you couldn’t open a tab. We were charged $ 10 a juice to refill our packages juice. Even though we ordered bottle service.
The promoter I set the night up with didn’t come to our table once didn’t ask me how things were going. I actually didn’t see him all night. We had a few issues through out the night and I had to contact him but he never came over to our table. We had about 15 ppl at our party. That’s 15 potential bdays he could have had if he showed interest. We went for a «Brazilian» themed night. The music was absolutely horrible. The djs didn’t let the music play for a minute. It was 10% Latin music and 90% hip hop. I thought I went to a BRAZILIAN themed party in the HEIGHTS to actually DANCE the night away. Guess not ! It looks like they want to attract more men than woman. No women were dancing just men bopping to hip hop. I found it extremely interesting how a female from my group ordered hookah and was charged $ 30 then two males from my group ordered a hookah and they were charged $ 40. How does that happen ?? Shouldn’t the people In Charge of selling the hookahs know the prices. Why the price difference? The hookah refills are $ 15.
There were people rolling up blunts in the club. I thought the whole point of security is to avoid that? There is absolutely NO DRESS CODE .Men where in Adidas track pants. Shorts and fitted hats. Mature classy club NO WAY !!! Guy walking around with shirt wrapped in head with tshirt, sneakers and jeans… I will not recommend this club to any adults looking to dance the night away. If I could give it less than a star I will.

My friend was celebrating her 24^th bday. She got a birthday package 4 bottles for $ 250 …Awesome right? Yea! We came into the place, $ 20 for ladies, $ 30 for guys, mandatory coat check. They remodeled the place, many couches with tables only a few standing tables. So. yes ladies you can wear those 8 inch heels bc there is seating available. Service for the bottles awesome, for the hookah terrible. Only one hookah guy for the entire place, which meant a 45 minute wait on hookah. Ladies were drinking so much they were on the floor, some even sleeping on the couch. I dare say… Everyone was smelling marijuana which meant someone was smoking inside. Ohhhhh… you ask where were the security guards? YES they were there while all of this took place!!! Unbelievable the only thing that saved the night was the DJ, amazing variety of music all night long.
Will I come back here? Not a chance

This is by far the most unappealing club I have had the displeasure of going to. I went there for a birthday party and the flyer said ladies free before 12:30, when we get there before 12 we still had to pay $ 10, which wouldn’t have bothered me if I had a good experience. The waitress was so rude and we bought a birthday package and I still had to stand and not even at a table despite buying a hooka and separate bottle than the package and she also didn’t bring me juice so I had to go to the bar and complain because I couldn’t find her. The music was not the best and overall the $ 600 we spent could have been spent in a much better place with a better atmosphere. Skip this venue it’s not worth the trouble or cash. I’d rather go to skyline or Negro Claro in the heights.

CRIMINAL ACTIVITY ALL OVER! Went there for a concert and after midnight there was a staged «fight» that forced people to run in stampede mode. Many purses, including mine were stolen. Staff was for sure involved. Lost my iphone and passport. Went multiple times to try to recover, but staff acted shady and not helpful. NEVER GO THERE! Unless you want to be raped or have your stuff stolen.

Full Review: I recently visited Tette with some friends for a birthday party. The space is pretty large and the music was a pretty good mix of latin & rap. Most people in the club were enjoying the music and the company of friends but I truly feel like the way the tables are set up, everyone was restricted to one area. The goal of any business is to make money, first and foremost. I think Tette does a great job of this by offering hookah & bottle service left & right. You literally cannot walk 2 steps without bumping into another group’s table. It was impossible to dance & mingle. I don’t think I’ll be back and I wouldn’t strongly suggest going here either. Nothing special, sorry.
