I love TGIFridays and when I found myself in the Times Square area it was an easy choice for my 2 girls. We were seated promptly. When I opened the menu I was blown away by the prices. The prices have a 40% mark up from the location that I usually frequent in Forest Hills, Queens. I am a rewards member so i was happy I had enough points to get a free entrée. The waitress then informed me that they don’t participate in the rewards and I was confused. I didn’t want to throw a stink when out with my lil ladies so I let it go, ordered an appetizer and thought it was worth it just to have my girls eat w/o any drama. Then we got the food and it was incredible. My sesame jack chicken strips were delish and seemed to be a slightly larger portion than I normally get. My daughter chose the 3 app plate and loved everything. Her potato skins were large, the mozzarella sticks were of a much higher quality than usual and her wings were good, as well. My youngest had a kids meal with a burger and fries and the fries were hot and crisp, where they are usually only warm and limp at our reg location. It was really an excellent looking kids’ meal. The food was definitely better and our plates were packed. I braced myself for the bill when the manager came over with it. He explained that they didn’t take rewards because some locations are independently owned and then gave me 15% off my bill. I couldn’t have been happier, The waitress who was attentive throughout the meal had told him that I seemed upset they didn’t accept rewards and he adjusted the bill for me. So, the bill was reasonable, even though slightly more than I expected to spend, the food was delicious and the staff was on point. I didn’t have any alcohol so can’t comment. I did use the bathroom, which was clean, and liked that it was in viewing range so I could monitor my daughters when they used the facility. I didn’t think I was going to have a good experience when I first walked in, but I ended up thoroughly enjoying myself.

Today a friend and I went to Fridays for some lunch, when we got there we were seated by the door which I said was fine, after the the waiter ‘Israel” took our order. when we both said our orders he forgot that they had that on there menu(he was confused) didn’t ask us what sides we wanted(I had to ask him if we could pick our sides)(I normally go to Fridays once a week so I know thAt I’m allowed to pick sides…) then it was about a 40 minutes wait for our food, he came over twice and told us our food was coming out«now» but I’m guessing«now» meant 10 more minutes? The waiter did not apologize at all. Then when our food came out my friend had ordered the jack Daniels ribs and steak but there was no sauce on the plate…(Everyone knows when u order the jack Daniels grill u always get a small tub of sauce on the plate!) I called him over and told him my friend did not get a sauce he replied«I know I’m gonna get it» in a rude way. Again no apology… And 1 more thing my friend ordered mash potatoes and did not ask for the loaded mash but somehow received loaded mash ?? She had to scrape the cheese off because it wasn’t why she asked for! And 1 last thing the mac and cheese was dry as hell… The one on 8th is wayyyyyyy better food and way better service. This was the worst food and experience I’ve ever had in nyc!

Service was really bad. Food wasn’t great for the price that you pay. Won’t be back again

Double the prices for the same crap we can get anywhere. We walked out. Went across the street to a Scottish/Irish place with better prices and better food.

I think they have an abbreviated Friday’s menu here… though I could be mistaken. Additionally, given that this is in Times Square the prices are outrageous! The quality and quantity of the food is just about the same as any other Friday’s so for the price, I recommend going just about anywhere else if you intend to stay in the area to dine.

Well… if there was a way to write this review without giving any star I would but this one star is only for the overwhelmed server who did her best to serve us and her other tables. The place is busy as you can imagine being there right smack in the heart of Times Square in New York City. When we arrived we were told by a person standing at the host/hostess stand that it would be twenty to twenty five minutes before we hit a table. As there were only three of us, my two daughters and I, and we had been walking in cold trying to find a place that would get us a table in under an hour so we decided to stay. In twenty Two minutes my name was called and we were shown to our table. The server, Avonnie, greeted us promptly and took our drink and appetizer order and returned with our drinks to take our dinner order. She helped us with the menu as we told her that we are only looking for seafood or vegetarian items. I settled for salmon with lobster sauce and my sixteen year old daughter opted for fried shrimp but was told that they were out of them so she ordered Cajun shrimp. My ten year old daughter just wanted some fries so I ordered her an order of fries. Our two appetizers fried cheese and spinach dip arrived shortly. Fried cheese was edible and the spinach dip was, well for lack of better word, sucked in taste and texture. Now came our food. Salmon with lobster sauce was served with broccoli and mashed potatoes. It was horrible. The Cajun shrimp was tossed with linguini and was just as bad. The fries had a taste of like when you fry other foods on the same shortening and to top it of it definitely tasted like the fryer hadn’t been changed. To say the least we ate a few bites, asked for the bill which came to a whopping $ 121. Since the server was attentive I left her $ 19 tip. I will never go back to a Friday’s as this was our first and last trip.

Horrendous experience! After waiting 20+ minutes, we were finally seated. I started with a restroom visit. The flush was broke, so I waited for pretty much nothing. After waiting about 20 more minutes, my food arrived. I ordered the«Chipotle Chicken Salad». I was very hungry and excited. I was expecting so much more for that $ 24 salad. But it didn’t even have cilantro on it(as specified in the menu). Tasted awful. We asked to talk to manager and left. I would never go back there again.

Food was no good very expensive prices took us by surprise but I think it was our mistake that we did not look into the dishes prices never can imagine to pay around $ 90 for two soups a salad and one main dish and even not that good. Do not recommend and for sure will not visit ever again. No stars at all

the host was okay was greeted and sat right away. The waitress, on the other hand horrible! worst TGIF experience I have ever had. There are so many restaurants in Times Square avoid coming here even the little food trucks have better food and service than this place.

Worst Friday’s ever. It’s not the food that you’re used to. The attention is really bad and the food is even worst. Go to Bubba Gump in the time square, the food there is really good and is close by.

The food was alright other then my wife’s salad had a produce sticker in it and the food was priced at least 20 percent hire for being near time square. Other than that not bad.

Simple, traditional American cuisine with friendly service. The menu seems to be a bit updated and the prices are moderate in comparison to other locations I’ve visited around the city. I visited with some friends as an after-work meal and the food was fresh and tasty with speedy service. What I don’t recommend is using their bathroom. No idea when it was last cleaned, but someone left a messy situation in one of the stalls. I’m assuming it was there for awhile because it looked dried up when I walked in, mortified. Overall, if you are looking for familiar food with quick service, this is the place.

This by far has been the worst experience I ever had at a restaurant! Party of four ms, «oh you have to go upstairs * so my party of four picked our own table, took 20 mikes for anyone to attend to us ! Decided to order appetizers each person order 3 apps for 19.99, 45 mikes later our food finally ! Food wasnt anything spectacular but I did enjoy the mozzarella sticks. Check time the waiter charges us separately for each appetizer meaning we end up paying about 14 bucks for each instead of 19.99 for 3. when I tried to explain to her what her mistake was she got frustrated and got a manger ‚*sighs* 15 minutes later finally a manger ! I would expect him to have a bit of knowledge of the establishment but hey he made me feel like I was speak pig Latin … He didn’t know any of the promotions an said he could only take off one appetizer by this point I’m like f it let me just pay because 1st graders would of understood be much more clearly … Shall I return ugh never …

Saturday afternoon finally arrived and I was beyond exhaustion with visible panda eyes + abject pain from recent major surgery. In meeting with a friend in this vicinity with minimal hunger pangs as party of two we opt for sit down dinning service and TGI Friday’s was the choice for budget reasons plus proximity. It has been a long time since I have patronized a Reese franchise restaurant as I remember TGI Friday’s, once upon a time, had a sampler. I love samplers as it contain a few pieces of food genres. Friday’s Pick Three sampler $ 19.00 was rather small for the restriction of three options. Party of two compromised for Mozzarella sticks, boneless chicken, and bacon cheese potato skins with celery. I wish the option of chicken Quesadilla was also included for Pick Four. The Mozzarella sticks were solid as the cheese was very consist and not overloaded. We ate our fill as neither of us had a desire or stomach for a big meal. No libations for either of us by choice. Do not be confused with the Jack Daniel’s sampler as this contains Jack Daniel whiskey embedded in cajun shrimp, Asian-inspired sesame chicken and glazed pork ribs. Customer service is average.

This place has the worst service in the world! Do not come here if at all possible. I literally had to ask for the server to wait on us, then I had to walk myself to the server station and get my own refill for tea… when the food came out we had no silverware. I had to get up again and ask for it. Now I just had to go ask my server for the check. Absolutely the worst. Not even worth one star! Go someone else if you expect good service.

0 stars if that is an option… We had to wait for water for 30 mins, then we got served our drinks in a broken glass, the appetizer(pick 3) was ridiculously small on quantity… I have been to TGI’s before and ordered the same thing so I know how t looks but this time the quantity was small, green bean crispers were oily and not crispy at all… When we complained to the manager she said its not our fault since they were in the middle of changing shifts(which is our problem… Why?) the beers as cold and we couldn’t wait to get out of this place… Don’t waste your time. Find another TGIs… Oh and if you need restrooms run towards the opposite side … All in all a severely mismanaged TGIs and considering its at Times Square, I don’t know how they manage to thrive with service like that…

I came here last Friday because my boss wanted to take my colleague and I to lunch at this newly opened location. We went in around lunch time and were seated near the bar area. It was super busy but we were greeted by our server Cale(not pronounced Kale!) Throughout our meal he was attentive even though he seemed to have several tables. Actually, compared to some of the other employees that were standing around, Cale seemed to really hussle! We ordered the nachos as an appetizer, I ordered the grilled chicken cobb salad, and my two co workers ordered the skillet garlic shrimp and the sirloin and shrimp with a side of sweet potato fries. The nachos came out and they were not your typical stack of nachos. They were more like stuffed and fried empanadas– but still very tasty and perfect for sharing. I asked for a side of jalapenos and when I got them they were freezing cold and I even found an ice cube inside them. Not a super big deal, but kind of off putting. Now I know that people don’t go to restaurants like this for a fine dining experience, but I still think TGI Friday’s should be able to make decent food. The reason why I knocked down a star is because when I got my salad the cherry(grape?) tomatoes were completely frozen! Plus again, I found ice cubes in my salad. I’m not really sure if they are keeping their jalapenos and tomatoes over ice or what but when you’re eating a salad you shouldn’t have to dig through it and remove ice cubes. My colleagues both said their food was pretty good, but the only complaint was that the sweet potato fries were cold and tasted like they came out of a frozen bag. I would go back to this location for maybe appetizers and drinks but probably not another meal. Our server was awesome but some of the other employees looked like they were more interested in hanging out with each other than running food, seating customers, etc. Plus, having to inspect every bite for ice cubes is kind of a deal breaker.
