Great neighborhood bar. Terrific lunch menu have had many meetings there. Great service by attentive staff.

It’s a typical Irish pub hidden under a scaffolding on Exchange Pl in FiDi. My brother and I decided to hit the bar after a long week of work. And since we both work in the area, why not check this place out because it is conveniently located right near the J/Z train — our ride home. The place was surprisingly not crowded as we expected to be on a Friday afternoon. The bartenders were nice, and the drinks were a little too strong(though, who is complaining, really?) In conclusion, it’s an alright bar with alright drinks and prices. But there has to be a better bar somewhere out there. And I will find it.

Unimpressive in just about every way. Nothing was bad, but nothing was very good, let alone great. In a city with so many great options, choose another one.

Stopped in for a quick bite and to relax from walking. Service was very prompt and food came out quick. I think everyone that works there is from Ireland so that was cool.

Went there yesterday to get out of the rain. Lets just say: I was not dressed as I should be for Wall Street, but the bartenders and waitresses were so accommodating. They went above and beyond. Will definitely go back. Those girls kick ass. Thanks girls! See you soon. :)

Came to this bar with a group of co-workers from my office. The bartender was extremely rude. She told our designated drivers they couldn’t ‘hang out in the bar free.’ She was rude when we attempted to order food, and gave a list of things we ‘aren’t allowed to do.’ The food here is average dive bar fare. Will not be coming back here anytime soon.

Early dinner at The Irish Punt after a meeting with my financial coach, located upstairs in the same building. The Irish Punt is dark and laid back, made all from exposed brick and wood. There are several menu items to choose from-burgers, pasta, salads and standard pub fare like fish and chips and bangers and mash. Good stuff. Since the crowd was thin, I was allowed a nice, roomy booth all to myself. I ordered a chicken and pesto sauce pasta dish, substituting the Fusilli for linguine. At first glance I assumed that my dish wouldn’t be enough to fill me up but a few bites in and I was ready to tap out. My pasta was creamy but not overly so. Chicken was definitely overcooked by most standards but I like a little extra burn on my bird. The biggest, blackest, ugliest sliced mushrooms ever, were tossed throughout but those ugly suckers tasted soooo good. The crowd picked up at about a quarter to 6. Irish accents on the waitresses/slash bartenders are adorable. If I worked in this area I’d sit at the bar and drink every day from 5 to 9. I’ll definitely go back to The Irish Punt to grub again.

I just had a really nice NY steak, thick and juicy, with steamed vegetables and mashed potatoes. Really tasty, and for $ 20 not a bad deal. The bartender was nice, pretty, and attentive. The guy next to me is having the fish and chips, it’s thick pieces of fish, with a thin crispy coating, the way I like it. I’ll be having that next time…

I came over here for a job interview. After my interview was done i didnt want to go home so i popped in here. There is o happy hour here which is okay but would have loved since it is near wall st. but thats cool. the vodka martini was made really well amd the french fries were really good. I might come back here. I would like to see the place in a more crowded way. Little to no people is what you get on a monday afternoon! nothing new.

Used to live upstairs, which is a residential building. Surprisingly, my husband and I didn’t come here much — which is shocking due to the convenience. Every time we went in it was an interesting mix of locals, traders, and random European people who just happened to stumble upon it. Skip the food and just order drinks, I think most of the food items are frozen and thrown in a microwave or deep fryer when ordered. The bartenders are friendly though, and will keep your glass full.

Beer is expensive but on point for downtown. The thing I can’t get over is putting zucchini on a veggie burger. Who the hell wants that? Just because I don’t want an animal to give its life for meal doesn’t mean I want the entire vegetable encyclopedia on my sandwich. Stop trying to act like you understand vegetarians and just do what we ask: ONLY substitute the meat for non meat. No frills. We didn’t ask for that.

great food and flowing drinks. Its a pub, no frills and consistent. Late night when the kitchen is closed I’ve been able to order pizza across the street and eat at the bar. What could be better? A nice hideaway. Note: very little to no cell reception.

The Google map on this Unilocal page has this bar located in the water, off the ferry station, with a question mark. Accurately describes where this bar belongs. I went on a Wednesday night after volunteering in the area, thinking, it’s not even 9pm; surely we’ll have the bar to ourselves and have us a good, pleasant night. Or not. The loudest, grossest douchebags lined the bar, way more intoxicated than socially acceptable for a Wednesday night. Therefore, they spoke and laughed way louder than necessary, so the bartendress had to turn up the music, which only made them louder, which only made it more difficult for everyone in the bar to hear each other talk. Then one yelled, «Does anyone here have a condom? Size small, for my friend here!» And of course, they all bellowed, and I wondered if they even liked each other as people. Probably not. I excused myself to the restroom, where I was greeted by vomit in the sink. And it wasn’t fresh; it had dried up enough for me to know it’d be sitting there for a while. I looked up at the ceiling while I used the toilet to prevent myself from puking in response. Back downstairs, I told one of the bartendresses and she said she’d clean it up. Not sure if she did, since she had to get more rounds of shots for the douchebags. Hey, at least she made money for the night. I pray to Jesus that I never have to go back here. I certainly won’t be recommending it to anyone.

This place is perfectly okay. Service is fine and the food was much faster than I expected. The fish and chips were the worst I’ve ever had, but I was told that this may be because they’re breaded rather than battered. Regardless of what you prefer, for $ 15.95 I got way more chips than fish and it tasted pretty off. Pretty bad deal in terms of entrée portions and price. This place is pretty average and nothing to go out of your way for, but it’s perfectly okay if you’re just looking for warm food or beer in the area.

3 of us went there today for lunch: Two burgers; one turkey burger. The turkey burger was dry. One of the employees(Maître d’?) took the plate and asked what the desired replacement would be. The waitress came in 2 minutes, with the dry turkey burger, and stated that we would be charged for the turkey burger AND for the replacement dish. That’s not acceptable. The service(with the cute Irish accent) was quite nasty. Not going there any more. There are so many other bars where service is with a smile!

This is an average pub in a place where you don’t expect to find average pubs. In other NYC neighborhoods, The Irish Punt would be easy to overlook, since it is basically just your typical neighborhood bar – nothing fancy, nothing bad, just a middle-of-the-road place to go for a drink. But since it is sitting a block from Wall St and in front of a post-9/11 road security gate, it gives the Irish Punt a sort of unique twist. Being a casual, comfortable, average bar in an area full of pretentious and upscale places seems to make the Irish Punt just a bit more recommendable.

Have you ever been to a bar where the 5 foot tall female Irish bartender kicks out the over 6 foot tall Scottish unruly 40 year old costumer? Where the Jamaican guy, the irish guys and the middle eastern guys inside the bar all help? Where the customer service reminds you of the bartenders in Goodwill Hunting? Wait… was that the movie… i forget… anyways, if you want to experience Wall Street unlike wall street, here is the place. I ate something there but i forgot cuz i was paying attention to the bar fight. Nothing too special about their beer selection. Typical irish pub fare. Cool place to meet the locals though. Perfect spot to get away from tourists and get your drink on. And thats what i like. the anti tourist drunk spots… dont judge…

Great little hidden Irish pub in the Financial District, if you can catch them while they’re open, that is. Typical beer selection and decent service at the bar. Good décor, and unlike many of the spots on Stone Street are becoming, this gem has never been too crowded to allow a good conversation. They’re closed on the weekends though, which is odd to me, as it seems most every other watering hole in the Financial District now stays open on the weekends. I’d argue there’s definitely enough patrons down here nowadays to pay the bills, once they got the word out. My only complaint is that the restrooms are cramped, dirty, and have no towels, the latter of which wouldn’t such be a big deal if the hand drier didn’t act as though it’s on it’s last gasp. Which means most don’t bother washing their hands… gross… FYI If you have AT&T wireless, you’ll get no service here. But the free wifi may help you stay connected.

Cute but cliché. Basically no phone service for AT&T. Bartenders/waitresses were bitches. If you are going to talk about your customers at least don’t do it ten feet in front of them. Yeah, i could hear you. Don’t waste your time here.
