Absolutely delightful. It’s the library you always dreamed of having, except with all the drinks! Comfortable and intimate seating options which range from tables to couches. The cocktails were creative and actually delicious(props to the«New York Sour» and«The Gentleman’s Exchange»). My one complaint is the food, insanely tiny portions at a somewhat absurd price. Overall, loved it, will definitely be back.

This bar has great curated cocktails and the atmosphere makes you want to unwind after a long day of work. Despite being an upscale bar, it’s very cozy inside, with great food for every palate.

Wonderful food, drinks, décor and ambience. Couldn’t ask for anything more. Yvonne(?) was helping us and was wonderful as well, warm and friendly.

The setting is nice enough, but it can be super-crowded. Service was nice and quick, and I enjoyed my drink and snacks.

Its pricey, mysterious and sexy. Not your typical hotel bar but after a few twists and turns you can find it. Very strong libations. My first cocktail wasn’t tolerable but once I knew they would be able to make me a bramble. I did a happy dance. Its definitely a heavy after work crowd but didn’t see happy hour pricing. Impressive if you’re on a first date. The bartenders were pleasant and are an expert at their craft.

I randomly discovered this lounge on a business trip. The NoMad Library has a sexy, hip vibe. The library(room full of books) is off-limits unless you’re staying at the hotel. But walk by and take a whiff of that good old book smell. To find the restroom, you must go through the hotel lobby, down a Super Mario warp pipe, where you will encounter an Orc, bribe him, then go through the double doors, defeat Bowser and descend down a spiraling staircase.

Venue — Beautiful library den with booth and bar seating. It’s pretty spacious and cozy but can get crowded and loud. Drinks — Amazing. They have very interesting selection of cocktails. I tried one with sheep yogurt and genmaicha that turned out to be very smooth. Loved it. Food — Didn’t personally order any, but the burgers and fries next to us looks really good. Staff — Bartenders are friendly and will recommend good drinks.

This is a very nice and upscale bar/lounge but it doesn’t feel pretentious. I ordered tea, which came with honey and lemon wedges. Nothing much to say about it but it was great. Our waitress was so kind and came up to our table to see if everything was okay, because a guy continuously approached my friend and I. I highly recommend this place if you want to chat with friend(s) over good drinks and food.

I really bask in any opportunity to be pretentious and feel socially superior while sipping on expensive cocktails surrounded by waiters wearing sleeve garters working in an astounding event space lined with sumptuous mahogany holding up shelves of unread leather-sleeved books. That’s actually my ideal bar. Having to face the bitter reality of walking outside to the concrete cityscape and going home to my apartment which features significantly less mahogany and an illusory number of ritzy bartenders ready to get loose was an all-too-necessary reminder that I should leave the NoMad to special occasions.

Another one of the places I was able to sneak off to during my pseudo-chaperoning a group of theatre students with my drama teacher friend! Stopped in for some lunch and, as I did not have reservations for the restaurant, made my way back to the bar and was able to grab a spot to warm up with some warm air and some drinks, and have a little bite to eat. Service was personable and kind. Enjoyed The Petticoat cocktail, a nice glass of Barbera, and a Croque Madame. Am hoping to be able to eat in the restaurant in the future, but will definitely stay for a drink or two if I can’t!

I sadly didn’t have enough time for a meal at NoMad, but was able to check out their beautiful bar for a pre dinner drink. Usually reserved for hotel guests(lucky ducks!) but my friend and I clearly must have chosen the right time and scored some seats on a beautiful lounger that took in the whole view of the book-filled bar. Service was exceptional, with the perfect amount of good humour to match the attentiveness. We both had a cocktail and they were quickly made and served with simple garnishes — well balanced and boozy! I would have loved to have had a glass of Champagne but at around $ 25+ for each of the selections I had a hard time justifying the expense(especially when converted to Aussie dollars!). Other tables ordered giant cones of fries and as tempting as they were, we settled on the crudités which were beautifully presented like a garden on a massive mound of ice! The fact that NoMad were able to make vegetable sticks a thing of beauty, as well as great taste, was indicative of their care in the kitchen. It made me all the sadder for not getting a complete meal. Next time!

This was the pre spot for EMP, we had a rezy for a champagne thing but that was not so. This place was way busier than i would think on a wed. but none the less was as expeted, great cocktails and a great apostphere.

Oh so classy. I am surrounded by fancy books and I am a fancy person. My friends and I had drinks and dessert here after dinner at NoMad(did you know you can transfer your dinner bill to the Library if you want to continue the night there? Now you know! Our waiter even found us a place there). We had the sweet potato dessert which was divine, basically de-constructed sweet potato pie. The drinks were good, though pricy. Come here if you want to be classy.

Great quiet and comfy spot to work or have an afternoon meeting. Their tea menu is lovely and they have Almond milk for their very dark, large cappuccino! The snack menu is on the light side but very dairy centric so I recommend eating elsewhere.

Cocktails are the star of the show here. The list is extensive and the combinations are on point. The food is a strong supporting cast. Excellent burger. Holds it’s own with the best in the city on flavor, however it loses points on its size. More along the lines of an oversized slider as opposed to a normal sized burger. Magically delicious nonetheless.

We waited for a while to get in and it was worth it to have their little ham and cheese puffs. Drool worthy late night snack. I enjoyed going through the books in the shelf next to our table and watching all the fashionable guests. Lots of artsy people in when I was there, plus some guys from Billy Joel’s band since he had just played at MSG a few hours before. The cocktails were strong and made very well, as they should for the upscale price. My only complaint was the bar area and its big long tables did not give much comfortable seating for the hours you are waiting to get into the library.

One of, what I think, is the coolest space in Manhattan. I love all of the Nomad’s consumption areas and this one in particular. Get some food, drink or both in what feels like an olde English office. You’re not going to get the same level of the restaurant but if you come for lunch and the resto is busy this makes for a good alternativ sans the Atrium

Maybe it’s the fact that we don’t have many cool places like this in South Florida that makes me such a NoMad fan? I don’t know. What I do know is that I am in love with this little space. Dark, quiet, sultry and quaint… beam me up! We were waiting to dine at Eataly and had a lot of time to kill. I looked up my bookmarks and this was one of my top spots. I directed our group of 6 as we walked there from Eataly. The streets and ambiance started to get a little seedier. Vendors from all sorts of stores and kiosks were screaming out to us in hopes we would buy something from them. Some did get uncomfortably close. The closer we got to NoMad some in our group started to request we turn back. We were from out of town after all and definitively not familiar with the area. I insisted we keep going and ultimately everyone was very happy that I did! It was really cold outside and this was just the perfect place to warm up. Book lined walls enveloped us as we slowly took off our many layers and settled into our cozy little table. We all ordered all sorts of cocktails, wine and beer and enjoyed our down time. There were other groups hanging out there just like us, a couple here and there snuggling in a corner, and many people enjoying the pleasurable solitude a good book can bring. Service prompt and attentive. By the time it was time to go, the drinks had set in and we were feeling very relaxed. The walk back to Eataly was more or a stroll. What vendors? I no longer noticed any uncomfortable seedy people nearby! Ha! This will be part of my NYC routine from now on. Looking forward to it.
