I have loved this place for years. Great plant-​based menu and I love the free entrée on your Bday. Their veggie burgers are my go to :)

Dependable selection of vegetarian items.

yum yum yum! eaten here twice before with my non-​vegan boyfriend and this place has gotten him to looooove vegan organic food :) the food is delicious and the service is great!

had bad service here only once for the first time.
this was last week, from a new server.
besides that one time, the service is always good, the food is good, & the owner is a sweetheart.
I’m sure the one new bad server will get her act together.
you should try this place out if you’re vegan or vegetarian.
and i’ll keep coming back.

Organic grill has some of the best vegetarian burgers I have ever had. The smoothies are good but not great. The portion sizes are somewhat smaller than I would like and I usually leave wishing I had, had just a little more to eat. The only major downside to this place is the service is VERY slow. Expect to wait a long time for your food and attention from your server.

This place is terrible. I waited over an hour for my delivery and they called back several times saying they didn’t have what I ordered and to choose other options. This happened 4 times for a simple order for two people. I should’ve cancelled my order then…
Finally when the food arrived it was cold and not all the condiments were on the salmon burger. They didn’t have anymore buns so I got an extremely cold salmon patty without anything else that would normally be on the burger. It seemed as if the patty was frozen and slightly warmed around the edges. I had assumed because they didn’t have anything I wanted to order they would throw in a dessert or something to make up for the fact they were out of food. i was also very accommodating to this. This is NY and there are so many amazing restaurants to choose from. I understand circumstances can happen, but customer service goes a long way. The woman was kind on the phone, but the food was very disappointing.

I order here almost every weekday for lunch while at work via seamless. Everything I’ve ever gotten here is amazing. The portion sizes are perfect, food is fresh and tasty. Delivery is always earlier than the ETA. As a vegetarian and partial vegan (I don’t eat cheese), I trust the Organic Grill.
Never been inside the restaurant, so I can’t comment on that. I do know that is has an A grade though!

I love this place I don’t know why it doesn’t get better reviews! I recommend the tofu ranchers or the 20 ingredient salad. I didn’t know about the dining rewards card so I will have to get one. I live very close and have always always wanted to come in in the middle of the day and eat lunch/​do homework here, but I’m not sure if there is free wifi.

I’m no more a vegan, but I’ve been to this cute little gem twice, once for brunch and another for dinner.
The naked burger was pretty self-​explanatory. Not sure if the patty is freshly made, but it tastes fine. The cashew sauce for the salad is a plus. The servers are friendly.
They could offer better desserts tho — I had to walk to another café for cannoli $ 5 each. Everything else seems pretty standard vegan (or «orthorexia»).

This place is so wonderful, warm, and delicious! It is a little hidden, though right on first, so you may miss it if not looking for it. The green burger is out of this world! Super flavorful and filling. The service is also great. So good!

It was going to take a truly attractive destination to get me out of the apartment on this 19-​degree, blustery day. I knew that even a couple blocks’ walk would hurt my very soul. J discovered this new-​to-​us place online and its menu was too enticing to pass up – and it’s only a couple avenues from the Astor Place subway. Not only was our brunch totally worth the wind chill that made those two avenues feel like a mile, but I’m genuinely contemplating braving even colder temps tomorrow for Round 2.
The décor is really cute – bright colors and a great use of a rather small space – and the service was excellent. J got a tofu omelette, coffee, and peanut butter cheesecake, and I the super seedy waffles and green tea. Naturally, we each stole from the other, so I can confidently say that we both found everything truly top-​notch. We will definitely be back for many brunches, as well as drinks/​appetizers, dinner… ok, pretty much everything they have to offer.

Once again I tried O. G… I gave been waiting well over an hour for my food, an employee called me after an hour and said «I’m sorry we just got your order «though I sent it in through Unilocal over an hour ago!!!
Seriously… Wednesday night at 7:30PM???

They need a new manager or someone who knows the restaurant business in there!!!

LAST TIME EVER WILL I ORDER FROM THEM, and I’m a local, … Y’all bet your sweet patootie I’m spreading the word on how dysfunctional this place is!!!

The Chickpea Fries with the organic cashew sauce

My best friend and I are absolutely in love with this vegan spot. We stumbled here around 9:30pm last night for a quick bite to eat after a long day.
I ordered the mushroom burger. I must say, this is the absolute best burger (vegan or not) I have ever had in New York City!
The home fries were incredibly flavorful. Everything was! I like the kick that the chef uses for the food.
Desserts looked out of this world. Unfortunately, we didn’t have enough time to order due to closing. Can’t wait to come back to try a dessert!!!
Staff was extremely helpful, knew the menu well, down to earth and hospitable. The ambiance was cozy, and provided happy, positive vibes.

Went here last night and this will be one of my go-to’s! Reasonably priced for decently sized food portions. I got a special, the tempeh powerhouse and had hald for lunch today and i twas just as good! Great smoked tempeh strips atop of a hearty, slightly crispy veg burger filled with beans and tons of other veggies.
The dink in the star is only because I thought the seed waffles my husband got were tasteless. He was fine with them but if you have to gob your food with syrup to have a taste, there’s an issue.
Waitress was nice though! So I would defo return bc there are lots of appetizing-​sounding menu options.

Lemme do you a favor and go straight to the meat substitute of my review.
Get the tempeh bacon and chia waffles. Oddly enuf they sell a lot of their side dishes in a larger bulk size, like for example the tempeh bacon which is smokey and addictive and worth the bulk buy. Just get it. I don’t know anyone who can just have 2 strips and be satisfied. I really like them as a side betch to my main betch-​real bacon.

Staff is friendly and attentive for the most part. The place is not that big, but it has a good vibe to it, very comfortable. Affordable prices overall.

Just tried to use the check in offer for a free organic beer while we waited for our order that we were picking up. Said its only good for dine in and wouldn’t give it to us… despite the fact we just spent over $ 100 at their establishment. Pretty lame.
Also specifies «dine in only» exactly no where on the offer. So not only lame but false and sort of rude.
Literally minutes after posting this, the owner called the restaurant about the fact that someone left a negative review. The waitress brought the beer and offered the owners phone number. Was kind of awkward but props to the owner — thank you — were enjoying the beer, along with the other drinks we had ordered to stay, as we wait for our order to be ready.

During our first Whole30 we were in the city and freaking out about what to eat… enter The Organic Grill. We had some sort of mushroom burger and it was super delish. I also fell in love with Chimichurri. So that happened.
To be expected, it was quite expensive but if you eat this way, then you know that.

Came here for dinner .
Got vegan perogies. They were good. Sauteed greens were still nice and crisp. Perogies had a nice flavor. Loved the cashew cream. Agree with some of the other comments, best with hot sauce. And their hot sauce is hot. so start slow =P
I got food dine in. no one else was there. Which was a little awkward. Looks like most people called in for delivery. But is was a really cold day. so maybe that was just an exception.
