Great food truck to get falafel at. My favorite is the Mexican pita(don’t remember the actual name right now). Also love the abundance of free samples while waiting in line. Price is reasonable for midtown Manhattan lunch as well.

The falafels here are the best I’ve had in a long time. Crispy on the outside but not dry and very flavorful. They are parked everyday at 50th and 6th, and there is always a long line because they are THAT good. Basically, ALL the salad bowls are a good choice. They come with 4 falafels, over a heap of dressed salad and a big spoonful of hummus and it comes with a warm pita on the side. Portions are pretty decent so you won’t be hungry till dinner time.

After eating at this truck I was falaFULL! I got a classic falafel hummus salad. The hummus was thick and delish and the falafel was light and crispy. The only thing I would be careful of is the the salad has dressing on it so you have to eat it quickly or it gets a little soggy.

I happened to be heading out to lunch when I noticed the Pocketful truck. I had never eaten there before. Let me tell you what an awesome surprise. I tried a falafel ball and it wasn’t greasy at all. Neither was their fried eggplant. I had the Roma and it was beyond delicious and extremely filling, I will certainly go back and sample their other items. Thank you Pocketful. You are yummy!

Had their pocket sandwich, served with four falafels and wheat pita. The falafels were hot off the stove with a crunchy exterior. There was someone giving out samples as you wait for your order. They do take credit card– you order at the front of the truck and the window is where you pick up the order.

I’m not sure I understand the bad reviews for this truck. It’s probably one of the only«healthy» food trucks available in the city which immediately earns points in my book. I put healthy in quotes because fried falafel isn’t the most healthy thing and neither is the big soft delicious pita that it comes with, despite the fact that it’s made from whole wheat flour. Still, the serving was plentiful and a great option when trying to keep things light. I got the«La Vida Loca» hummus bowl which comes with a heaping portion of hummus, sundried tomato spread, salad, tomatoes, sweet potatoes, and 4 mini falafel balls. It also comes with a pita on the side. PLENTY of food for lunch. I’m still full 4 hours later. The hummus made the dish. It was creamy, not overly seasoned but very flavorful. I wasn’t a huge fan of the sundried tomato spread but still thought it added a nice pungent flavor to the bites where I was in the mood for it. $ 10 isn’t cheap for lunch or a food cart but I’m always willing to pay a little extra for something fresh like that. It was a nice change of pace to your typical boring salad. I will definitely be coming back here with my colleagues. Everyone agreed that it was a hit.

What a pleasant surprise. Ordered first and Unilocaled later from this truck parked in fromnt of my office on a hungry day and thought«what have I done!!!» from the three reviews but it was fine. Perfectly fine. I got an «Olympian» pocketful of: The freshest lettuce I’ve received from a truck in a whie. Exceptional tomatoes and cucumbers considering it was early winter. Plump juicy olives and The best feta I’ve had since moving from Astoria to Elmhurst(whoch I guess isn’t saying muych but really it was nice) Falafel that was a little soggy for my taste but tasted good, if a tad bland. My whole wheat pita was fluffy and had a fresh nutty flavor. Interestingly, there was a tray of falafel samples for«while you wait» that we’re perfectly cooked in my estimation. They probably pulled them because they considered them a wee too crispy. Next time I’ll specify how I like em. Staff was pleasant and efficient. My sandwich came in a very like like able attractive box with a string. Cute but excessive. I already have toouch git about all the waste fromu truck habit. This was definitely a step above the«halal carts» across the street but I did wonder afterwards if it was $ 4 better. Still cheaper than and just as good as Pret A Manger storefront on the block.

The food was distasteful and dirty. What I thought were pepper was actually pieces of roach legs. Couldn’t even eat it and the owner was very rude and denied it came from his truck. Worset experience ever. Sewage would be better than pocket ful

Not very good. The quality of the falafel is about the same as the average Halal food truck(actually, the Halal truck around the corner at 53rd and park makes much better falafel) and the quality of the other ingredients is sub-par. Soggy lettuce, minimal hummus, and overcooked falafel… You can tell by watching the staff that this truck lacks the love and passion that one expects at a Manhattan food truck.

This USED to be one of my favorite food trucks, when it was called«Crisp» but since then it has declined – perhaps around the time they changed their name. With every passing meal, the ingredients taste more different, and the salads get cheaper and cheaper – all while staying the same price. The falafel used to be full of flavor and well-shaped, but I have noticed that they have gotten smaller. The toppings don’t taste as fresh and overall not as good. I used to get this truck every Tuesday religiously, but now I walk right by it. Please someone buy out this truck and restore it to its former glory!
