The Solaire

LOVE! We have lived here for two years now and have zero complaints. The building is situated in one of the most beautiful areas of Manhattan– the Hudson River is in your front yard. The building itself is immaculately maintained and the staff couldn’t be more friendly. We have had few repairs, but when we have submitted them (via the building’s special website for residents) they have always been completed same-​day. The units themselves are wonderful– extremely spacious, filled with light, new appliances, washer and dryer in-​unit, etc. We could not be happier with the Solaire and its staff and management. The neighborhood is wonderful too. It is filled with kids and young couples so you know it is extremely safe. Being west of the West Side Highway, it provides a welcome break from the craziness of the rest of Manhattan. There are great restaurants virtually across the street (Shake Shack, Harry’s Italian, Blue Smoke, etc.), a huge movie theater that is never packed like the rest of the ones in New York, a Whole Foods, a Soul Cycle, what more could you want? It is also just a short walk across the Highway to everything Tribeca has to offer. The building is a little pricey, but so is everything in NYC– here, at least you are getting what you pay for.
