Came in here on Halloween night to buy eyeliner for my Halloween night party(Revlon is horrible — doesn’t stay on for more than two hours at an end, even with primer). They initially offered me candy for Halloween, but i walked into the store of the eye-care isle, only to not find the eyeliner section. A sales associate quickly tailed me and asked me what I needed because after all, you don’t see an asian guy walking into a beauty care store often. I asked for eyeliners and the associates quickly pointed me to the right direction. I was initially offered the liquid eyeliner, costing ~$ 18, but i’m not a fan of liquid so i asked for a pencil version, and got it for a cheap price of $ 12! It’s so cheap compared to the ones you see at CVS. Either way, their sales tactics were aggressive, but if you know what you want, go for it, and they won’t bother you too much because they know you’ve already decided and you walked into the store knowing what to get. They tried to advertise the masks to me, but i just told them I already have a lot. I thanked them for their services and promptly left, with a handful of candy. They’re nice associates, but only if you’re nice too. Remember, be nice but aggressive in your stance :)

I was literally chased out of here by a pushy sales associate who just would not leave me alone. I was browsing quietly and specifically told the sales associate I didn’t need help when she approached me. She took this to mean that she should follow me around everywhere and offer random products to me every time I touched or picked anything up. At one point, I rubbed my eye nonchalantly and she immediately started pushing eye creams and serums to help with my «puffy eye». What? I pick up a mask, and she offers to show me a picture of her wearing it on her iphone. Too much. As I walked out, she kept yelling stuff that I should consider. I would not come back.

Awesome store to pick up hit products. Sales associates were very helpful and pleasant. There is a student discount so show your ID! Some products are pricey but when comparing to other stores, they are consistent.

This store is centrally located, on Mott just south of Canal. It’s almost next to 0035. I swung by here after getting a facial. The store is of a decent size and there were other people there. One of the sales people started trying to sell me one of the expensive creams after I said I was just browsing. I sort of barked at her when she then tried to show me some ampoules. I accept that salespeople will be persistent, but perhaps they should ask customers what they were looking for — I had a whole list. I spotted Innisfree, Hera, Hellabong and their house brand. I ended up getting the Innisfree Green Apple Cleansing Foam, The Yeon Snail Hydrogel Mask, Innisfree aloe mask and Mediheal I.P.I. Light Mask. They also has silk face masks. I got some samples, but only because I asked for them. I will be back, because it’s conveniently located for me, and because it’s open late

I came in here with great enthusiasm and a plan to purchase a some items with a few specific brands in mind, like mask and cleanser. And before I could begin looking, I was immediately followed by this short girl with long hair sales rep, I told her I was looking to buy a innisfree cleanser and instead of giving me time to look, she kept talking to me and tried to sell me something different, a serum that cost 2Xs more than my $ 12 cleanser. Anything I look at or pick up, she would quickly rave about it to get me to buy. Follow me around the store like a hungry puppy and all in your space. And ask me if I have dry or oily skin? Looks like I have large pores? Pointing to my face! It was so annoying! I bet she knows she can’t sell because it didn’t work on me. I ended up purchasing the items I need but because of her distraction, I bought the wrong cleanser. lol Anyways no return policy so meh. And she saw I came from The Face Shop and try to BADMOUTH their products. Honestly, I much prefer The Face Shop reps. They’re nicer and friendlier and don’t try hard to sell. Actually I feel they genuinely want to help customers. The YEON @ MOTTSTREETWANTTOBANKRUPTYOURWALLET! DON’T COMEHERE! **YEON @ DIVISIONSTREET, GOCHECKTHEMOUT. I need to get myself there. Overall, It’s a small store, they don’t carry Tony Moly or Étude. But yeah, I don’t know, the sales rep ruined my experience. Will not be returning. FYI: The sales rep that run this place are chinese.

Who: me on vacay When/where: weekday, Chinatown What: various hand creams($ 3 – 5 on sale) Why: Before coming, will yourself to get over the fact that you will be followed around and solicited to the entire time. Seriously, get over it, it’s a Korean Beauty store! After smiling and politely evading each of the store clerk’s moves, I found some awesome hand creams on sale. This stuff is just heavenly and the perfect souvenir for me and my friends who love Asian beauty products from literally anywhere.

I got a rep that was really pushy into trying to get me to buy an expensive face mask. They were running a buy 2 get 1 free promotion but neglected to mention only on certain face masks so when I got rang up I could’ve gotten 1 more free of a certain type. The lady of course neglected to mention that. So i bought 4 masks that weren’t part of the promotion at all and lost out on 1 extra mask because I got 4 of the promotional masks and only 1 free one. I also would try to ask what was the active ingredient of the mask she was pushing on to me and she would only keep saying it’s good for me. I didn’t really question it since face masks are pretty much similar but the sales tactic left a bad taste in my mouth. They’re just trying to get you to buy without much question or service. PS Also no free samples at all(I didn’t just buy a face mask, also Jeju Canola Honey Serum that the rep pushed on to me too). Very POOR customer service.
