Top of the Rock

It is the little things that count and Top of the Rock accounts for them. Their greatest asset are their employees and the get it. Everyone was super friendly. From the time we walked in the door, we were greeted with hellos and smiles. They truly set the framework for you to have a great experience.
Make sure you check out the light room at the top. Your kids will love it.

Top of the rock has the best views of NYC. My BF and I came here in the beginning of the month and we loved it! The line went smoothly and didn’t get too overcrowded unlike the Empire State Building. I feel like it’s more organized all in all. On top you will be able to see the Empire State Building and on the other side you’ll see Central Park. We came here during day time because we wanted to see Central Park. The ticket is not that bad compare to Empire State Building price. We did purchase a digital copy of our picture and the good thing about this place also in my opinion is if you are not happy with the pictures you took you can retake them and that’s exactly what we did. I felt like a model because when we retook the pictures we went back to the top and there was a blocked off area to take your photos. Everyone here is also super friendly and very professional. Gosh, Writing this review makes me so sad that I’m not in New York City anymore but it’s ok we’ll be back again soon (hopefully).

Best view in New York. Forget the Empire State Building. What you want is a view of the Empire State Building. The panoramic views are amazing because you get midtown, downtown, as well as Central Park. There are two levels at the top, with the uppermost without glass. This provides for optimal photos. Great place to watch the sunset too! Totally worth it.

Amazing view of Manhattan from the 67^th, 68^th, and 69^th floors of the Rockefeller Plaza. At $ 32 a ticket, it’s a steep price, so I don’t think I’d do it again. But for those looking for a good view of the city, I’d recommend the Top of the Rock over the Empire State Building. They’re the same price, but you can see a lot more from the Rockefeller Plaza’s viewing decks. It definitely gets cold at night that high up, so I’d recommend bringing a light jacket.
Be warned, this is one of New York’s top attractions and as such there will be TONS of people there, especially at night. With that being said, I would advise buying your tickets online ahead of time rather than waiting in line and buying them downstairs when you get there. It’s just one less line to wait in (and there are MULTIPLE lines you WILL be waiting in). Line for a ticket. Line to go through security. Line to get your picture taken (of you don’t want your picture taken you have to wait in line until they decide to let people walk through who aren’t getting one), a line for the elevators to the 67^th floor, and finally a line to for the elevators to leave. It’s a very long and tedious process, so I’d say this is one of those attractions that’s worth doing once in your life, and then never again.

Oh. My. God! This was an amazing tour to add to the Rockefeller center tour. The unobstructed, 365 degree view was spectacular. Being located close to Central Park, you get the view of it and it makes you really appreciate how big it is. There really isn’t any words that can describe the feeling you get other that being in simple awe of how beautiful and peaceful NYC seems from that high up. It is definitely a tour you should add to your list of things-​to-​do when in NYC. There was a long line to make it to the top, but they were very efficient in managing those lines and making sure the line kept moving.

Since the lines were ridiculous, we chose for VIP option that would give us immediate access.
the very sweet ticket agent said, «OK, I’ll have to get this authorized by my supervisor». No problem.
So we waited for the supervisor,…5 minutes…10 minutes. Finally that same ticket agent said, «I’ll go get her».
Upon her return she said, «she’s coming now».
So we waited for the supervisor,…5 minutes…10 minutes. …15 minutes.
The ticket agent was very apologetic. We left very disappointed.

Loved the view and it gives it top marks just for that

The guy taking the photo before we went up was fun and really made us want the picture … The photo tho is collected via a bottle neck in to a dead end … The card we were given just wouldn’t scan on the machines and it was so small in there and packed we got frustrated and left without the photo

Top of the Rock is cooler than the rest of the Rock.
The multi-​level outdoor Observation Deck at the top of Rockerfeller Center is a historic «must see» experience for visitors to New York City. Find the main entrance on 50^th Street between 5^th and 6^th Avenues.
Tickets to the Top cost $ 32/​person with discounts for Seniors ($ 30) and Children ($ 26). Upgrade for $ 5 per ticket to a Premier Pass which includes a digital photo and printed viewfinder noting points of interest. An additional $ 15 for adults and $ 10 for children is a ticket upgrade called Sun & Stars which allows you to visit the Top of the Rock twice in 24 hours so you can enjoy the view in light or night. Save money on admission as part of the New York Pass and CityPASS tourist attraction packages. Buy tickets online in advance for specific times to ride the elevator up.
The elevators to the Top run from 8:00 a.m. to 11:15 (except holidays) with the observation deck closing most days at midnight. No matter the weather, Top of the Rock is open 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Plan about 45 minutes for exploring the views, but there is no time limit on how long guest can stay on the observation decks during operating hours.
The ride to the Top takes you up nearly 70 floors to 3 indoor and outdoor viewing decks offering 360-​degree views of Manhattan and New York. Top of the Rock actually consists of the 67^th, 69^th, and 70^th floors of 30 Rockefeller Plaza. Outdoor terraces with clear safety glass are found on the 67^th & 69^th floors while the 70^th floor has a completely open air, unobstructed view 850 feet above street level.
On a clear day or night from the Top, you’ll find the best views of Central Park and the Empire State Building. Top of the Rock is an expensive, but «must-​see» part of experiencing New York City as a tourist.

This was my favorite part of my NYC trip! Do go at night for a spectacular unobstructed 360 degree view at the very top 70^th level. The elevators don’t bring you to the top, there are 2 more floors (3 observation decks total). Take an escalator from the 67^th floor to 69^th and then climb up a flight of stairs for the breathtaking views. It’s absolutely gorgeous! I liked this way better than Empire State during the day, Empire made me feel caged in. Top of the Rock has tall clear containment material so you don’t see bars. It’s not a one piece wall at all corners (has 5? inch slits between) so be careful with phones/​cameras.
The elevator roof is see through with cool lights for both rides up/​down. Smooth travel.
Gift shop on the 69^th floor.
Daytime gives a view of Central Park’s many trees.
*Buy a CityPass if it’s your first visit to NYC– worth the $ 116 for 6 attractions.

Better view and less wait compared to the Empire State Building.
Ticket prices have gone up since I first visited Top of the Rock, but it’s still worth visiting. It’s not something you do every day. Employees are friendly and helpful. The elevator ride up can either be scary or fun for you, depending on how you feel about heights. As the escalator goes up, a short movie is played on the ceiling of the escalator. All sorts of other fun things are happening on your ride up as well, I don’t want to ruin the surprise. They have a nice little museum that gives you some history of the Rockefeller Center, as well as a short movie showing.
The upper two levels have the best view. You can see Central Park, the Empire State Building and Staten Island.

Das Empire State Buildung ist wahrscheinlich das bekannteste. Trotzdem hat NYC noch viele weitere die man nutzen kann wie z.B. das OWTC usw.
Beim Top of the Rock gefällt mir vor allem die «wirklich» freie Sicht. Ganz oben gibt es keine Gerüster oder Glasscheiben die einem die Sicht in irgendeiner Art und Weise versperren könnten oder einfach nur nerven. So lässt sich der Ausblick in 360° auf NYC wirklich genießen!

This is a definite must for anyone visiting New York City. Yes, it’s a bit cliché and «touristy» but you cant really appreciate the city until you see it from here.
I personally have not seen the view from the top of the Empire State building but my friends who live in the city said that the lines for the Empire State building are too long and they said that the Top of The Rock was much better.
The entire experience was fun. The elevator ride to the top is quite interesting with music and holographic images playing on the glass ceiling. There is a video that plays in one of the rooms that gives a brief history of the Rockefeller and the building itself.
And the best part is obviously the view! Wow! If you like photo ops then this is your place. Bring your camera!

Great spot to take in NYC. From what I hear the view is better than the empire state building even though this isn’t as high up. Selfie stick capital of the world, but it is worth checking out and the line wasn’t too bad at all, and you can stay up there taking it in as long as you want without being rushed down.

I don’t really understand how I haven’t written about this before, I spent lots of time here when I worked in Rock Center. Nevermind climbing to the top of it for an annual charity climb. That was always my favorite visit actually, for some reason I liked climbing the stairs. Even with hundreds of others. Just love that race. And then the view from the top is the «prize». Pretty awesome.
This place is great. If you are in mid-​town in NYC its well worth a visit. The observation deck is terrific and well managed.

Been here in night time. What a great view! Only a boomer you did not see anything of Central Park late this time.
But the view of Empire State Building and one World Trade Center is perfect! You really have to do this in the evening.

Truthfully I didn’t think much of it and wasn’t too excited about going on top of the 30 Rock building. But once I got up there it was gorgeous! The different views you get of Manhattan are so breathtaking. I love the central park side with a view that never seems to end. Then you turn around and see the beautiful Empire State Building.
I think everyone should go up here and just admire the beauty of Manhattan and their skyscrapers.

I’ve been here twice and there have been a few changes since my first visit in 2009. The most noticeable one being the wall around the lower observation deck. It certainly makes it feel safer, however, photos on this level are not as pleasant. That is easily solved by climbing an additional level.
My recent visit was early on a Monday morning in an effort to avoid crowds. We arrived a few minutes after 8AM and without reservations, it took approximately 25 minutes to wait in line, purchase tickets, go through security, and arrive at the first observation deck.
Adult passes to simply visit the Top of the Rock with no frills is around $ 30pp. They also offer tours and other upgrades like being able to visit twice in a day (day and night views).
The view is truly amazing. On one end, you get a great view of the Empire State Building and the other end, the magnificent Central Park. We were there for about an hour (this includes shopping for souvenirs).

If you want good views of NYC, come here. I like this better than Empire State Building because the logistics are much better. Every time I’ve come here, it’s well organized and efficient, even with a ton of people!
My friends and I got our tickets from the ticket office on the 49^th St side of the building, then only had to wait 20 min to get on line for security which is on the 50^th St side of the building. We took an elevator one floor (not sure why we can’t just walk up the stairs) then went through security, walked by the place to get your picture taken then had a short ride for the fast elevator ride up to observation deck. It’s usually crowded in the indoor part so I recommend by passing that and going to one of the two upper levels immediately. I like the top level best because there are no glass panels to get in the way of your photos.
It’s very pretty during the day because you can see the park, all the bridges and even New Jersey. However, at night the city lights are spectacular and the views of Times Square and Empire State Building are breathtaking. Staff everywhere were friendly and efficient. Even though there was a line to get back down, it was still efficiently run.
I’m a big fan.

What a great way to take in exceptional views of New York City. Top of the Rock gives the viewer a 360 degree lookout. The landscape takes your breath away.
While going up the elevator, the ceiling turns into a light spectacle which features the historical shows of NBC.
It gives you 3 levels to explore: The first outdoor platform features a protected observation deck. It gives you time to take in the Art Deco architecture. You don’t see this type of construction anymore in New York City.
The second and third decks overlooks the city and do not contain the protective walls. While on the second floor, go into the light room. Everytime you move, music and light comes on. The sign inside encourages you to move, dance, walk around.
We came here to witness the New York City during dusk. As the lights come on in the city, you see the majesty of this place.
Top of the Rock holds a special place in my heart since it reflects the beauty of NYC. Come and relish in old New York. I highly recommend it.

Here is the best New York tip you will get. Go to the Top of the Rock instead of the Empire State building. Empire is gorgeous and has more history but be prepared to wait for two hours even if you pre bought your tickets. We literally walked into the Rock on a Thursday afternoon, bought our tickets at the desk, then went straight to the top. No line! There are two levels of viewing plazas and they are large. No crowding together like a can of sardines at the Empire. I think the views are better and you can see all of Central Park. We had a blast!

One of the best location to check this Metroplois, althought Top of The Rock isn’t the tallest place you can get to in New York City, it got it own charm. First of all, it’s the Rockefeller center we are talking about, one of the worldwide famous TV channel– NBC is here as well. it sure is one of the most popular places in NYC.
I got here quite early, the ticket pick up area was a bit small, but the staff were really efficient. It took less time than I expected to get the ticket, after that was the security check, like most of the popular locations, it is quite common in NYC. I don’t have problem with that, after all they just wanted to keep visitors safe.
After the security check, we just followed the path get to lift, before reaching, there was a small stop for a quich souvenir photoshooting, I didn’t do it because usualy that cost quite a lot, so I just keep walking as the staff mentioned. It also didnt took long the lift was already there, it was quite fast to get all the passager to the top, I could felt the air pressure changed. during that, they play a small introduction movie inside the life, it was kinda cool.
On the top of it actually got another 3 areas the people could walked around, I went all three of them, the first one, which got glass protection, it really full of people, quite hard to make a great pictures here. The second one, it was less people already and it got some tourist telescopes around. Just cool faceing the Empire State Building. The other side to the Central Park direction. It was just amazing. The third was the highest, the area wasn’t really big, but sure was the best place to have a great panorama view of the city. When I was there, the weather wasn’t that great, quite windy. maybe that was the reason why less people than I expected. although the weathe wasn’t so great, the view was still breathtakingly beautiful. I was there quite awhile. I like every moment here.

Everyone knows that the view here is fantastic, so here are some tips and tricks instead of a review:
— The latest you can reasonably buy tickets is 1 day in advance. Don’t pay the extra $ 5 for a brochure and souvenir photo — I believe they take souvenir photos on the 2^nd floor in front of the green screen anyway.
— There’s a Rockefeller Center + MoMA combo ticket that may save you some money, depending on whether you get a student/​senior discount at MoMA.
— If you want to see the sunset, get there an hour early to hold onto your spot. It gets super crowded at sunset.
— It can be VERY COLD during the winter because of wind chill! So if you plan on waiting an hour before sunset, bundle up (hat/​hoodie, heavy coat, thick gloves, thermals, and tissues for the inevitable runny noses).

I have visited New York City a couple of times now but had never had the opportunity to get the beautiful bird’s eye view I have seen in so many pictures. It took a lot of research but our group landed on the decision to go up to Top of the Rock as opposed to the Empire State Building. It would have been my first time up either but I am really glad to have taken in the views at this location.
We bought tickets online a couple of days in advance (after scouring the weather reports) for $ 32 a piece. We picked a time slot that fit in with our other activities in the area that morning. Our visit was on New Year’s Day, mid-​day… and we experienced approximately a 30 minute wait before we made it up to the top. Not too bad for what I expected to be crazy crowds on this holiday. There are a lot of twists and turns, videos, and photo-​taking that help the wait go by quickly. I understand that it takes dedicated staff to keep the lines moving but out of the about 10 employees I ran into on my way up, only 1 or 2 of them were truly pleasant. The rest were shouting and forcefully directing people through the queues or were totally disinterested in the guests/​simply talked amongst themselves.
With a sigh of relief, we made it to the glass-ceiling’d elevator. In less than a minute we traveled up the Space Mountain-​esque elevator shaft with glowing blue lights and exciting music and arrived at the 67^th floor. We were initially taken aback by the lines we encountered at the top but were happy to find out they were for the elevators back down and not to get out onto the observation deck. The views from this and the next two floors were fantastic! We could see all of Central Park, the Statue of Liberty, the Empire State Building, the Freedom Tower, a multitude of other notable buildings, as well as the pole with the «2016» sign where the ball dropped the evening before. It was an overcast day with bitterly cold winds but the glass walls helped block out the majority of frigid gusts. The 69^th floor affords clear views without the glass which is great when you are trying to get a clear shot of something and not other’s reflections in the glass. There are spaces between the pieces of glass on the lower floors to fit a camera lens but with the crowds it can be difficult to wedge you way in for a spot.
All in all it was an enjoyable experience. I am sure no matter what time of day, the trip up is worth the money. Download the app for a useful map of the buildings around you!

If you are looking for a place to see an amazing view of NYC, then look no further than Top Of The Rock, located at the famous 30 Rockefeller Center. I highly recommend going at night. Seeing the city all lit up is an amazing sight, and makes for some great pictures as well.

Since this is such a popular attraction, I would definitely recommend buying your tickets ahead of time. It does get rather crowded, so if you can speed up the process by getting the tickets in advance, it makes things go a bit faster.

If you’re in NY, I would definitely recommend this attraction! It’s at «30 Rock,» which was one of my favorite television shows, so… how could you not want to? Lol. Not only that, but the view is stunning. We went in the afternoon, and although it was windy and felt as though we were going to fly away, we could see all of NY!!! As first time visitors, it was a great beginning to our trip. To me, the view of Central Park was the most amazing! I couldn’t believe how big it was!
The whole, entire experience was great. There are three levels once you get out of the elevator. We viewed all around on all three levels, and I would recommend the same. The price for this attraction, as of Winter, 2015, is $ 32 for adults, $ 26 for children, and $ 30 for seniors. The tickets have a time telling you when to come back to get in line for the elevator. The line didn’t take long, and you even have to go through a security check.

There is so much that I can say about ToTR!!! First of all, going into the Rockafeller Bldg is easy. YOu get in there and see this massive building with all directions available for you to walk int (left, right, up, down, side shuffle, etc). I think we walked down a flight of steps upon entering to get to where we needed to be. There is a lot to do in this building.
Because this is NYC and ToTR is a highly frequented attraction, it’s possible that you have to wait for a little while before your time slot. I’m not sure how the time slots work, meaning I don’t know if they do time slots only when it’s busy or all the time. We had a City Pass, which I recommend for anyone doing toursity activities in NYC (and other major cities w/​lots of attractions), so we got right in. There was no line for us upon arriving and once they gave us our ticket, there was no wait. Had there been, there are all kinds of shops and places to eat or grab ice cream all over the Rockafeller. It’s pretty cool. You’re in this basement mall essentially.
We hopped a ride on the elevator, which takes you up a handfull of levels and let’s you out at an area where you can read up on large lifesize posters w/​Rockafeller information, facts, etc. There is also a room that you walk thru to get to the next set of elevators that take you all the way up to the 65^th (?) floor, that has a projection style mini documentary on the making of Rockafeller. This area can get a little crowded really quickly because we are all waiting on the next available elevator, which fits a nice amount of people but not everyone, so claim your standing space with a firm foot. Once you get on the elevator, it shoots you up to the top really quickly. The lights turn out, the top of the elevator lights up with even more Top of the Rock information and your ears begin to pop. Once it lets you out, the magic happens.
I’ve been here several times. I love this view. It’s my favorite over Empire State because it’s less obstructed and goes all the way around. While it’s a little shorter than Empire State, you are able to see Empire State which makes for a beautiful view. You can see everything. The glass is tall and assures you won’t fall off the edges, but if you stick your camera right up to it, you can minimize the glare to almost nothing. There is also space for you stick your arm between the glass and take a picture but that’s if you’re feeling secure to your device. If you drop it, well… idk what happens next.
There are levels outside that allow you to walk up to get to a higher viewing level. I’m not sure how much higher, but if you look up from that level, all you will see is the antenna at the top of the building. That made for some anxiety w/​my person, but I was just fine. The higher the better I say !!!
There are lots of people, but Top of the Rock is spacious both indoors and outdoors, so there is hardly a problem with getting a good picture, or getting up front and close or even just sitting for awhile. Both inside and outside provide beautiful views of NYC and inside has nice couches that stretch across the room to allow for sitting. There is a room upstairs that has changing lights when you move across the floor. I think this is a way to get to the next level also. there is no time limit involved once you go up. YOu can’t go back up once you go down, but once up, you can sit and stay for as long as you like. I would love to go and just write one day. It’s possible as there is room, time and possibilities of inspiration. The window sills are big enough to sit on and provide amazing backdrops for great pictures.
Once you’re ready to go, jump in the line for the down elevator and make your way out. Be careful once you get back down to the bottom of Rockafeller. The building can easily become confusing at this point. It’s so big that’s it’s easy to forget where you came in at. We walked circles for at least 10 minutes trying to find our way out. But hey, it’s Rockafeller, in New York City… it’s ok to get a lil lost sometimes !!!

Can’t really say anything bad about this place. Originally wanted to go inside of Empire State Building, but how can u take a pic of it if you’re in it right?
You have to make reservations to go to the top of the rock. Usually wait time is not that long, maybe 15 – 20 min tops. Before you enter, they do a bag check like how they do it at the airport. Once you’re in you have to go through at least one or two more elevators to go get to the top.
Once on top, just relish and enjoy the amazingness that NYC has to offer. Such a beautiful site. Make sure you have a warm jacket on because it gets really cold. I plan on coming back here when the sun is about to set to get a good view of that.
Highly recommend checking this out if you’re in town.

Top of the Rock is wonderful. Pretty much at the heart of Midtown, I had a mesmerizing view of the entire city. I can describe a lot more about the view, but words don’t compare to actually being there yourself. So… I think I’ll point out a few highlights here that will be useful to you if you plan on going.
1. I think Top of the Rock has a worse night view than the Empire State building. There are less lights and less surrounding buildings. I think Top of the Rock might be much better during the daytime. I went during the evening today and unfortunately I was unable to see Central Park, which is

The Top Of The World né vaut absolument pas le prix exorbitant proposé qui approche 100 euros pour 2 adultes et 1 ado. Peut-​être plus palpitant à la tombée du jour où carrément de nuit mais alors en pleine journée c’est zéro.
Mon épouse et ma fille ont regardé «par dessus bord» à peine une minute et n’avaient pourtant pas faire l’Empire States Building ! Ça fait très cher la minute d’ennuie.
Attente aux caisses, pour monter, pour descendre… Vous l’aurez compris je né recommande absolument pas. Gardez votre argent et faites autre chose ;)
Par exemple: une virée de nuit en hélicoptère né vous coûtera guère plus chère et vous en aurez le souvenir toute votre vie…

Als wir im Juli (!) 2011 in NYC waren, waren wir natürlich auch hier: dem Top of the Rock! Und ich muss sagen, ich würde hier eher wieder hochfahren — sogar jederzeit — als noch mal aufs Empire State Building zu gehen.
Wieso? Alleine schon die Fahrt mit dem tollen Fahrstuhl war ein Erlebnis — und nein, man musste nicht zig mal umsteigen und durch noch mehr Security Kontrollen wie beim ESB.
Auch die Aussicht vom TOTR finde ich persönlich viel schöner als vom ESB, da man halt auf dieses welches schaut. Auch Platztechnisch ist es hier weniger überfüllt und einfach großzügiger.
Unsere schönsten NYC Fotos sind von hier aus entstanden und hängen auf Leinwand im Wohnzimmer.

A peine arrivées à New York c’est la première chose que nous avons faite et de nuit ! L’entrée est inclue dans le NewYorkCityPass, nous avons eu notre ticket horodaté pour la demi-​heure qui suit, le temps de prendre un Starbucks (le premier d’une longue liste) au sous sol et c’est parti!
Aucune attente pour monter dans l’ascenseur avec le plafond transparent et une petite animation de 60 secondes à peine! Et là, c’est le coup de coeur total !
D’un côté, l’obscurité quasi totale de Central Park et de l’autre, les lumières de la ville et le magnifique Empire State Building ! Une vue époustouflante !
Après avoir fait le Top of Rock et l’Empire State Building, sincèrement je conseille les deux ! Ce sont deux attractions similaires mais qui offrent des sensations totalement différentes une fois en haut. Plus besoin d’hésiter, avec le CityPass vous avez les deux visites comprises!

Además que hacen un buen tour, historia y un par de vídeos que valen la pena ver, si bien la entrada cuesta 32 dólares lo valen completamente. Puedes tomar fotos de las vistas, así como también fotos profesionales pero tienen un cobro extra, aun así definitivamente valen la pena.
Al final del tour puedes comprar un lindo recuerdo del viaje, muchos recomiendan solo visitar este mirador ya que es el mejor de los tres que hay en New York el que tiene las mejores vistas ;)

Finalement, après avoir testé l’Empire State Building et le Top of the Rock, je recommande largement ce dernier qui offre une vue époustouflante à la fois sur Central Park et sur… l’Empire State Building qui se dresse seul contre tous dans un décor de film qui vous fera ouvrir grand la bouche tellement le paysage est sublime ! La visite en elle même n’a rien d’exceptionnel, mais la vue vaut le détour. Le prix est un peu élevé (comme tous ces attractions à New York) mais finalement on s’y retrouve avec de superbes photos et une vue qui vous fera tomber amoureux de la ville si ce n’étais pas déjà le cas !

Une vue à couper la soufflé sur Manhattan, de nuit c’est juste superbe. Un conseil arrivé dès l’ouverture que ce soit le matin ou le soir pour éviter l’attente trop longue aux ascenseurs et avoir le temps d’admirer le paysage. Une fois dans l’ascenseur on accède vite à l’observatoire en moins de 5 minutes

Une vue incroyable !!! Absolument à faire!

Una de las fijas al visitar New York es poder observar una buena vista de la impactante e imponente Manhattan. Obvio, el lugar más popular y conocido es y seguramente será el Empire State, pero Top of the Rock es una gran alternativa a éste.
Ubicado en el Rockefeller Center esta enorme terraza tiene ciertas peculiaridades. En principio, desde ahí se puede observar el inmenso Empire State y eso es un golazo, como del otro lado se tiene la genial y hermosa vista del Central Park. Para los amantes de la fotografía es realmente una parada obligatoria, ya que desde allá arriba se puede observar gran parte de la ciudad de una manera única.
La cuestión es que siempre hay espera y mucha gente, no tanta como en el Empire State, pero sí bastante. Excepto que sean muy fans de este tipo de tours diría que es algo para hacer una sola vez, más teniendo en cuenta que los tickets no son nada económicos, pero después de todo, hay que decir que Top of the Rock es algo que realmente vale la pena.

Le top of the rock donne un vue incroyable sur Manathan et ses alentours. La décoration du bâtiment art déco est superbe. Être parmis les premiers à l’ouverture permet de profiter un Max de la vue pour de belles photos!!! Foncez!!!

Super Ausblick, ist das Geld auf jeden Fall wert. Online das Ticket kaufen spart 5 Dollar. Das Personal leider nicht sehr nett.

Pour avoir testé le Top of the Rock et l’Empire State Building, je recommande le Top of the Rock si vous souhaitez avoir la meilleure vue de NY, car le bâtiment est plus central et permet une meilleure vue de l’ensemble de la ville (dont central park) mais aussi parce que (c’est logique) depuis celui ci vous pouvez admirer l’empire state.
J’ai eu la chance de pouvoir réserver pour le jour même, de né pas avoir eu à attendre et d’être seule dans l’ascenseur «magique» que j’ai trouvé très sympa.
Une fois la haut, il n’y a qu’à profiter de la vue exceptionnelle qui s’offre à vous.

Una de las grandes atracciones turísticas que ofrece New York City es la vista desde este edificio. No es el edificio más alto, pero si de los más altos de la ciudad. La vista que puedes tener de la ciudad desde la cima del edificio es realmente magnifica. Lo que me encanta es que desde aquí puedes apreciar el Central Park en su totalidad, así como muchas partes de la ciudad. New York son kilómetros y kilómetros planos de la ciudad, de esta manera puedes ver a una gran distancia. El lugar está protegido por unos enormes cristales filtra sol, por lo tanto tienes que buscar un buen ángulo con la cámara porque muchas veces las imágenes salen oscuras.
No creo que está atracción turística se encuentra ubicado en el techo del edificio del Rockefeller Center. A sus alrededores está muy bien cuidado con jardines y fuentes hermosas y dignas de las muchas postales que giran por todo el mundo.
Sin lugar a dudas puedes apreciar toda la ciudad desde aquí arriba.

El tiempo de espera y las filas para llegar al observatorio es menor en comparación de otros lugares similares (empire state building)
La vista es genial durante el día y durante la noche, se pueden disfrutar distintas cosas como una vista general de Central Park o una vista genial de el Empire State Building con el esplendor de sus luces al igual que todo NYC.

Um New York City von oben zu betrachten, hat man 2 verschiedene Möglichkeiten. Das Empire State Building oder das «Top of the Rock» im Rockefeller Center. Nach langer Recherché im Internet hatten wir uns für die zweite Option entschieden.
Ausschlaggebend waren für uns:
Die kürzeren Wartezeiten
Die Verglasung der Plattform statt Gitter
Der unbegrenzte Aufenthalt
Die Aussicht auf das Empire State Building
Die Aussicht auf den Central Park
Die Buchung per Internet war problemlos. Dort angekommen konnte man nach Passieren der Ticketkontrolle auf vielen gut gestalteten Schautafeln die Geschichte des Gebäudes und viel Hintergrundwissen nachlesen.
Das Horror-​Foto für alle unter Höhenangst leidenden «Lunch Atop a Skyscraper» wurde beim Bau des Rockefeller Centers aufgenommen. Im Ausstellungsbereich konnte man, wie die 11 Bauarbeiter, die auf einem Stahlträger zu Mittag essen, sich ablichten lassen.
Nach der Ausstellung geht es mit dem «Sky Shuttle» auf das Hauptdeck im 67. Stock und danach mit weiteren Aufzügen zur 69. Etage. Jetzt ist man auf dem «Grand Viewing Deck» und kann mit einer Treppe zum höchsten Punkt des Gebäudekomplexes im 70. Stockwerk aufsteigen.
Die Aussicht von hier oben ist atemberaubend und durch die Glasscheiben in alle Richtungen sehr gut möglich. Zwischen den einzelnen Panzerscheiben ist immer eine Lücke, so dass man das Objektiv der Kamera dazwischen bekommt.
Wer genügend Zeit mitbringt, sollte eher am späten Nachmittag auf die Plattform gehen, um auch noch den wunderschönen Sonnenuntergang und die Lichter der Stadt zu genießen. Es ist nur eine empfohlene Verweildauer auf der Plattform vorgegeben.
Für mich persönlich war die Aussichtsplattform des «Top of the Rock» die perfekte Wahl.

Mon 100ème avis né pouvait être que pour New-​York.
Génialissime bien sûr, et ce n’est pas uniquement dû à la perfection de la ville de New-​York.
Si, malgré la recommandation (qui n’est pas mauvaise, je pense) de faire le Top of the Rocks la journée, et l’Empire la nuit, vous décidez, comme nous, de vous faire ce plaisir, la nuit, et l’hiver (je vous fais rêver non?) attendez vous à né pas faire de queue du tout, et, à presque galérer à trouver l’entrée de l’ascenseur tellement cela risqué d’être désert.
L’ascenseur, donc, vous fait monter sur le toit du monde, rien que ça, en quelques secondes, avec une belle mise en bouche que je vous laisse découvrir. Vous pénétrez dans une pièce d’où vous sortirez et pourrez profiter de votre vue panoramique: le nord de Manhattan avec Central Park à vos pieds (d’où la recommandation d’y aller la journée, c’est vrai que la nuit c’est une coulée noire !) d’un côté et le sud avec tout Midtown de l’autre côté.
C’est clair, ça m’a coupé le soufflé, le bruit de la ville la nuit, les fumées, les sirènes, les immeubles allumés, le froid qu’on né sent même plus. Faire ça le dernier soir de votre voyage c’est vous assurer quelques frissons et pourquoi pas une petite larme. Vous pouvez vous attarder de longues minutes, comme nous, monter les quelques derniers étages qui vous permettent de gagner en visibilité (moins de vitres, si je me rappelle bien), prendre un milliard de photos, pointer du doigt votre futur penthouse en haut d’un gratte-​ciel, admirer l’Empire State Building (+1 point par rapport à l’Empire lui même, eh oui, forcément), profiter du moment et cette ville incroyable.
C’est un endroit magique de New-​York, un incontournable je pense, qui restera gravé dans vos mémoires.

No es el edificio mas alto pero sin duda es la mejor vista de Nueva York por dos sencillas razones:
1. No tiene la rejilla o barrotes para mirar toda la ciudad. Es súper incómodo tomar tus fotos a través de los barrotes o peor aún que salgan atrás de ti y ¿el paisaje?
2. Tienes la oportunidad de tener la vista al Empire State y eso no tiene precio. Serán las mejores fotos que pudiste tomar.
Recomiendo entren temprano cuando aun no haya tanta gente para poder disfrutar a gusto el paisaje y tomar fotos a diestra y siniestra.

Supergeile Aussicht auf ganz Manhattan (WTC, Central Park, Empire State Building, Freiheitsstatue, Hutson River usw.) Man muss anstehen ca. ½ Stunde für die Tickets und dann normal bis zur nächsten Aufzugfahrt zu der man zugeteilt wird warten, alles in allem sollte man 1 Stunde Wartezeit locke einplanen, es lohnt trotzdem, hat auch bis 24 Uhr auf falls man die nächtliche Skyline bewundern will.

Der Vorteil vom Top of the Rock: Freier Blick! Es gibt keine Käfig über und unter einem wie z. B.: im Kölner Dom oder im ESB. Auf der obersten Ebene geht einem die Brüstung gerade mal bis an den Bauchnabel.
Nachteil :
Der Blick auf den schönsten Wolkenkratzer der Welt, das Chrysler Building wird halb durch das MetLifebuilding (früher PanAM) verdeckt.
Kein Ausblick aufs Flatiron!

Bei unserer verregneten Woche hatte ich schon Angst das ich es gar icht mehr aufs Top of the Rock schaffen würde. Aber der Wettergott hatte dann doch Erbarmen mit mir und bescherte am Abreisetag wunderschönen Sonnenschein :) Dafür lies ich glatt das Frühstück ausfallen, schmiss mich in die Express Metro, stürmte ins Rockefeller Center, wurde auch nur durch eine kleine Schlange an der Kasse gebremst und durfte oben den wunderbaren Ausblick genießen. Unbeschreiblich. Wer schon in New York ist sollte sich das nciht entgehen lassen. Ich konnte mich nur schwer loseisen.
Mein Tipp: nachts Empire State Building, tagsüber Top of the Rock da man im hellen den Central Park viel besser sehen kann.

Absolut top. I’m Preis Leistungsverhältnis gegenüber anderen Aussichtsplatfornen unschlagbar. 3 Decks reichen hier aus damit jeder Traumhaft schöné Bilder machen kann. Perfekt :) 5 Stars

Il est autour des 9h30, lorsqu’au début d’une magnifique journée ensoleillé, je choisi de monter sur la plateforme d’observation «Top Of The Rock».
Un peu de monde patiente pour avoir son ticket mais ça avance assez vite. Le parcours est digne d’une attraction avec son long trajet cordes en guise de barrières qui arpente les couloirs avant de finir par monter dans l’ascenseur. Il atteint le sommet à toute vitesse, on a juste le temps de lever la tête au plafond pour apprécier la petite animation et se voir grimper en quelques secondes les étages.
Une fois arrivé, trois pallié à niveaux relativement proches permettent au fur et à mesure d’avoir un panorama de plus en plus large.
D’un coté Central Park, de l’autre l’Empire State Building. Une sublime vue d’ensemble de New York.

Recomiendo al 100% el ir, por unos 30 dolares (más o menos, no recuerdo la cifra exacta) puedes subir y ver toda la ciudad a vista de pájaro, y además desde dos alturas (abstenerse quien tenga «cosilla «por las alturas).
Aconsejo hacer tal y como nosotros pensamos, ir para estar arriba una media hora antes de que empiece a anochecer y así podemos ver tres vistas de la ciudad para recordar y enamorarse de ella. Por la noche la ciudad es completamente diferente al día y en ella es cuando se ve el por qué «nunca duerme», una ciudad llena de semáforos incansables y coches recorriendo la como pequeñas luciérnagas, y todo ese ajetreo en un silencio que te da las alturas, es un contraste mágico.
Desde lo más alto y mirando al horizonte, te haces una idea de Central Park y lo grande que es, lo grande de la ciudad y los edificios, porque cuando estás a pie de calle y vistos desde abajo y en esas calles y avenidas tan grandes no parecen tan altos; y también puedes localizar los puntos más importantes de la ciudad, Times Square, Central Park, El edificio Crisler, junto con toda la definición de las orillas de la isla, que la ciudad oculta cuando caminas sobre ella.
Creo que es uno de los puntos más interesantes y que más huella te deja marcada de la ciudad y si tienes una buena cámara, el momento perfecto para tomar una fotografía para recordar y, sobre todo, para alejarte un poco de la gente que esta mirando y perder un poco la vista en el horizonte y disfrutar de las vistas y del silencio ^_^.

Bisher einer der besten Ausblicke in New York. Wir waren nach Sonnenuntergang hier und mussten nicht warten. Die Lichter der Stadt sind wirklich eindrucksvoll von hier oben. Besonders gefallen hat mit das man von ganz oben ihne hinderliche Glasscheiben oder Gitter über die Stadt schauen kann.
Auch schön was das man bei der Fahrt mit dem Fahrstuhl nach oben in den Schacht blicken kann. Das gibt ein ganz neues Gefühl für die Geschwindigkeit der Fahrt.

Top of the roof, êtes-​vous prêts à être époustouflé?
NYC est à vos pieds, ENJOY IT

Nous avions réservé la montée en haut du Top of the rock pour le dernier soir de nos vacances. Et nous n’avons pas regretté ce choix.
Déja, il n’y avait pas grand monde, donc nous avons pu monter assez vite. J’ai pas trop aimé l’ascenseur, du moins je n’ai pas regardé en hauteur comme c’était conseillé. Quand on a le vertige, je le déconseillé.
Par contre, une fois arrivés là-​haut, la vue est à couper le soufflé. Nous avions NY de nuit à nos pieds, les lumières de Times Square, l’Empire State éclairé… Magique, époustouflant. Par contre, pour prendre des photos de nous 2 potables, ce fut un peu la galère car le toit est pas super éclairé pour faire des photos. Qu’importe, nous avons joué les touristes et nous nous sommes fait prendre en photo par un gentil photographe. finalement, pour 2 photos je crois que nous n’en avons même pas eu pour 20 dollars donc cela reste raisonnable.
Je pense que lors de notre retour à New-​York nous remonterons en haut de ce building, peut-​être de jour cette fois-​ci.
La boutique en bas de l’immeuble est plutôt sympa aussi, bien que peut-​être un peu cher.

Hier gibt es den besten Blick über die Skyline von NYC. Man überragt im 78 Stock die meisten Gebäude, aber eben nicht alle. Das ist für Fotos eindeutig die bessere Perspektive als z.B. von Empire State Building.

Est-​il encore utile de décrire cet endroit magique, symbolique, emblématique de l’incroyable ville de New York?
Il aura fallu attendre mon 4ème passage dans la Grosse Pomme pour monter au sommet du top of the rock!
Alors verdict? Empire State Building ou Top of the Rock? Et bien forcément, les deux! Sauf, que je privilégie le Top of the Rock le jour et l’Empire State Building de nuit.
Pourquoi de jour?
— On a une super vue sur Central Park, qui rend les photos de jour vraiment très belles. De nuit, Central Park né représente qu’une ombré noire.

Après c’est chacun ses goûts bien évidemment.
La montée avec l’ascenseur se fait très rapidement, on entre directement sur un premier niveau, puis deux autres niveaux extérieurs vous permettent de faire des photos rivalisant de beauté à celle que vous regardiez sur internet quand vous prépariez votre voyage (on est tous pareil vous inquiétez pas: p).
La vue est à couper le soufflé. Impossible de croire que je suis venue 3 fois avant à NY et que je n’étais pas venue. Impossible.

Oigan, señores, olvídense de todo lo que han oído sobre que la vista desde el Empire State Building es lo mejor del mundo mundial… — Top of the Rock es «the real deal» (y no le doy 50 estrellas porque no me dejan).
Top of the Rock multiplica la experiencia del Empire State — desde 3 miradores en las plantas 67, 69 y 70 del Rockefeller Center hay vistas a 360 grados de Manhattan y más allá… Y lo mejor de todo: se VE el Empire State en medio de Midtown (cosa que si estás encima de él obviamente es difícil…). Y desde arriba del todo, no hay ni vallas ni cristales en medio…
Top of the Rock es una maravilla a cualquier hora del día, pero especialmente si subes por la tarde/​noche (dependiendo de la estación del año) antes de que se ponga el sol. De esa manera puedes aprovechar y ver Manhattan de día, durante el atardecer — como se va iluminando todo poco a poco — y de noche.
Si durante tu visita a NY no tienes suficiente tiempo para subir al Rockefeller Center y al Empire State, no lo dudes ni un segundo — decídete por Top of the Rock.
¡Prometo que es una experiencia de la que no te vas a olvidar nunca!
El mirador está abierto todos los días de la semana, desde las 8:00 h hasta medianoche.
Dependiendo de la época del año y el día de la semana puede haber colas muy largas. Si la quieres evitar, compra las entradas junto con un pase a varias atracciones de NY, así sale más económico y — casi más importante — te saltas todas las colas.

Arrivés à New York à 6h00 du matin, nous voulions du «Wahou» tout de suite ! Alors hop, après un petit déj complet, direction le Rockfeller center pour monter en haut de cet immense building. Nous sommes arrivés pile poile à l’ouverture synonyme d’absence de queue, rien de tel pour gagner du temps dans notre séjour new yorkais.
Nous avons donc passé les longues files vides avec le sourire et à la caisse nous en avons profité pour prendre des ticketrs RockMOMA qui incluent un accès au Musée d’Art Moderne; cela nous fait économiser du temps d’attente ainsi que 10 $ par personne !
Une fois passé par la petite expo dédiée au building, nous arrivons à l’ascenseur somme toute très classique mais qui se révèle peu commun une fois montés dedans; je n’en dis pas plus mais c’est spectaculaire :-)
Arrivés au 67ème étage, on commence à réaliser que nous sommes bien hauts, logés sur les cimes de New York en cotoyant l’Empire State Building qui se situe à quelques rues. Une vue imprenable sur Central Park, sur la statue de la liberté, sur le World Trade Center,. Bref, un paysage saisissant !
Ce doit être sympa de le faire de nuit aussi pour avoir ce spectacle lumineux, ce sera pour moi une bonne raison de revenir ici d’autant que le prix pour y monter est relativement raisonable comparé à l’Empire State Building.

Für jeden New York Besucher ein absolutes Muss!
Am schönsten ist es, zu Beginn der Dämmerung hinaufzufahren, den Sonnenuntergang zu genießen und dann zu beobachten, wie die Lichter angehen.
Der Eintritt ist nicht billig, aber nirgendwo sonst bekommt einen so genialen Blick von oben auf New Yorks Wolkenkratzer inklusive Chryslerbuilding.
Ohne Top of the Rock ist kein New York Besuch komplett.

Wie zig-​tausende anderer Besucher war ich heuer ebenfalls ganz oben am Top of the Top of the Rock!
Nicht nur an der Plattform mit den riesigen Scheiben davor, nein, es geht noch ein Stück höher!
Wer die Treppe (ziemlich mittig an der Plattform) findet und diese letzen paar Meter noch hochsteigt, wird mit einer Aussicht belohnt, die (zumindest in die beiden «Haupt-​Richtungen») eben durch nichts versperrt ist, kein Gitter, keine Scheiben — freie Sicht!
Wie das ausieht ist an meinem Bild zu sehen, das gleich noch hochgeladen wird.
Ganz unten rechts ist die etwas tieferliegende Aussichtsplattform noch zu sehen.
Nächster Tip:
Die Karten einfach online bestellen, dann steht man schonmal nicht in der langen «Kartenschlange» an ;-)
Dazu aber immer die Bestätigungsemail noch bereithalten, da steht die Reservierungsnummer, die war — zumindest in meinem Falle — notwendig.
Man darf solange oben bleiben wie man will, oder man es eben aushält ;-)

Kaum in New York angekommen muss man auch auf eins der Hochhäuser rauf. Abgesehen davon das die Stadt insgesamt laut ist wird man hier nach dem lösen des Tickets weiterhin fröhlich angebrüllt, was man tun und lassen und wo sich anstellen soll. Cameras, Mobile Phones, Bags schallt es einem schon weit vor der Sicherheitskontrolle entgegen. Wenig später wird man Lautstark zum Foto auf die Stahlträger genötigt. Danach geht es zur Selbstdarstellung über den Weihnachtsbaum vor dem Gebäude und dann endlich in den Aufzug.
Der Aufzug ist ein Highlight und die Aussicht von oben beeindruckend.

Wunderbare Aussicht auf Manhattan. Bei guter Sicht kann man auch weit bis in die angrenzenden Stadtteile New York’s sowie New Jersey sehen.
Wie mittlerweile bei allen grossen Sehenswürdigkeiten muss neben der Wartezeit auch der Security Check in Kauf genommen werden.
Die wunderbare Aussicht ist es jedoch Wert.

What else ?
Pour moi le meilleur plan reste d’y aller un peu avant le coucher de soleil, pour avoir le jour, la nuit et les belles couleurs du coucher de soleil. Un jour clair bien sur.
Mais je suis arrivée à 19h40 et le temps de faire la queue les tickets pour le «créneau» de 20h étaient épuisés et j’ai du attendre 21h. Loupé ! Il reste que cette vue est à la fois mythique, splendide et inoubliable.
Il y a 3 niveaux d’observation donc un sans vitres (le plus haut). Les trépieds né sont pas autorisés mais il y a moyen de caler son appareil si on se débrouille bien.
Du monde, oui, mais si on reste longtemps (et on le fait) on peut largement tout voir tranquille.
Né prévoyez juste pas cette visite dans un créneau de 30mn, ça serait vraiment dommage de né pas prendre le temps d’en profiter (en plus temps illimité quoi)

Une vue… Quelle vue!
Imaginez: d’un coté vous voyez central parc, le poumon vert de NYC. De l’autre, l’Empire State building, le plus célèbre gratte-​ciel de la ville. Un vrai régal pour les yeux.
Un petit conseil, allez-​y tôt le matin: la tour ouvre à 8h. Vous n’aurez pas à subir le flot quasi continu de touriste. De plus vous pourrez prendre de belles photos qui resteront, à coup sûr, inoubliables!

Dort entstanden die besten Bilder. Es ist einfach atemberaubend und ein
absolutes New York Highlight. Die Wolkenkratzer sehen aus wie Lego-​Steine,
der große See im Central Park wie ein Tintenklecks und die Autos glitzern
durch die Straße. Wir waren 2 Stunden gefangen, bei eisigen Temperaturen,
weil man alles um sich herum vergisst !

Oh God, c’est ma première montée au septième ciel (n’y voyez pas de sous-​entendu coquin!) pour admirer NYC, et ça a été plus que réussi !
C’est parti sur un coup de tête de ma soeur. La nuit commençait à tomber, «viens, on monte» qu’elle me dit ! Ok, c’est parti !
On rentre dans le building de Rockfeller, c’est un peu galère de trouver l’entrée du tour (le seul point négatif de cette visite)… On demande notre chemin et on atterrit dans une petite pièce, avec déjà une trentaine de personnes qui attendent. Heureusement, la queue avance plutôt vite, et le plan géant de NYC à 360° affiché permet de passer le temps.
Finalement on a nos tickets et c’est parti, on prend l’ascenseur. On était comme deux gamines, trop fières de faire «comme dans les films».
On arrive en haut et on se jette sur notre appareil photo.
Comme le dit Marie O., à la tombée de la nuit c’est vraiment magique: les premières photos sont complètement différentes des dernières où tous les building s’illuminent.
Une carte achetée en même temps que nos places nous a permis de mieux voir qui est quoi: «eh regarde le truc tout allumé, c’est Times Square !».
Bref, c’est l’éclate.
Pour avoir été à l’Empire State Building, je vous conseille plus que tout Rockfeller. C’est moins cher, on a une belle vue sur Central Park, il n’y a pas de vitre donc les photos sont plus réussies et il y a moins de monde (c’est parce King Kong n’est pas venu ici, c’est moins in !).
C’est un tour obligé de votre voyage à NYC, vous né serez pas déçus !

Das Top of the Rock auf dem Rockefeller Center, ist eine gute Alternative zum Empire State Building.
Klar es ist der Blick nicht ganz so hoch, wie vom Empire, aber dafür steht man meistens nicht so lange. Der Aussicht ist nicht minder beeindruckend.
Vorteil beim Top of the Rock ist nicht nur die geringere Wartezeit, sondern auch die Aussichtplattform an sich. Der Blick ist nicht so vergittert, wie beim Empire State Building. Im Wartebereich zum Fahrstuhl bekommt man viel Wissenwertes zum Bau des Gebäudes präsentiert. Bilder und Filme zeigen eindrucksvoll die Leistung, die damals vollbracht wurde, um dieses Projekt zu stemmen.

Bön bien sûr il est moins haut que l’Empire State Building que l’on voit d’ailleurs, mais on trouve plusieurs niveaux de terrasses, des espaces assez grands pour que la foule né se presse pas aux 4 coins où vous voulez prendre vos photos avec vue plongeante sur la Grosse Pomme, pas de limitation de durée pour visiter, pas de grillage, que des vitres. PRICELESS
Plus bas vous trouvez le musée du Rockfeller center, et des boutiques en sous — sol, non loin de la fameuse patinoire, là où est installé le grand sapin de noël .
Nota: à la boutique Lego à 2 pas de la patinoire vous pouvez voir une reconstitution du bâtiment avec les petites briques colorés.

Definitiv die beste Aussichtsplattform in NYC! Am besten die Tickets vorher im Internet kaufen und ca. 1 Stunde vor Sonnenuntergang kommen. Dann kann man Big Apple Im Sonnenuntergang erleben. Für alle Fotofans: ein Einbeinstativ ist empfehlenswert, da man zwischen den Plexiglasscheiben zwar durch die Ritzen fotografieren kann, aber dafür das Dreibeinstativ nur schlecht in Stellung bringen kann.

Je suis tout a fait d’accord avec l’avis précédent, nous nous baladions avec mon amis, avant d’arriver devant l’empire states building. un monde fouuuu!!! découragés, on a fait les boutiques avant de tomber devant le Rockefeller Building! fin de journée, bientot le coucher de soleil! magniiifique!
A faire donc en debut ou en fin de journée comme le recommande le routard.
L’organisation dans tout le batiment est impressionnant, les enchainements sont faits pour faire patienter le client avant d’arriver la haut sans qu’il s’en aperçoive de trop ;)

Das Top of the Rock (efeller Center) ist eine perfekt inszenierte Touristenattraktion. Hier treiben die heutigen Cowboys und –girls die zahlende Touristenherde, portionsweise durch abgesperrte Laufgatter. Das obligatorische Fotoshooting, auf dem Stahlträger sitzend, ersetzt das Markieren des Viehs mit einem Brandzeichen. Hier ist fotographieren verboten! Man möchte das Touristenvieh, nachdem entweder 25 $ für ein einfaches Ticket oder 38 $ für ein Sunrise-​Sunset Ticket gezahlt wurden, gerne noch um weitere 20 $ für einen Fotoausdruck melken. Im Aufzug dann lohnt ein Blick nach oben, denn die Decke des Fahrstuhls ist nur eine Glasplatte, so kann man die atemberaubende Geschwindigkeit erahnen mit der man in das 67. Stockwerk rast. Während der Fahrt, läuft an der Decke des Aufzugs eine Multimediashow ab, dabei sieht man den rot beleuchteten 67. Stock auf sich zu kommen, oder hat bei der Fahrt nach unten das Gefühl in die Tiefe zu stürzen.

Oui c’est certainement l’une des «attraction touristiques» les plus courues qui soient à NYC, mais il faut absolument la faire ! Le top étant de choisir la tombée de la nuit pour voir petit à petit New York s’éclairer !
Vue imprenable sur la Grosse Pomme et notamment l’Empire State Building !

Uuuuuunglaublich aber wahr! Wer wie ich zum 1. Mal in New York ist, den haut die Sicht auf die Stadt von oben (67. Stock) echt um. Nach 43 Sekunden Aufzugfahrt (nur Fliegen ist schöner) ist man angekommen.
Es gibt 3 Ebenen, oben ist es am besten, weil kein Glas die Sicht stört. 25 $ sind nicht gerade wenig, aber es lohnt sich total. Mein Tipp:
Danach direkt auf die Staten Island Ferry, um den Hochblick mit dem Weitblick zu verbinden.

O Top of the Rock é um dos lugares que mais gosto em Nova Iorque. Apesar de estar sempre muito cheio, é de uma paz encantadora. Gosto de ficar bastante tempo por lá, apenas admirando e pensando na vida. E aqui vai a primeira dica: se a sua companhia não tem paciência, providencie algo pra ela fazer nesse tempo. No meu caso, levei o iPad cheio de joguinhos, rs.

Die Aussicht von hier oben ist wirklich WAHNHHSINNN … mag ja sein das das Empire höher ist aber ich denke man hat eindeutig den besseren Blick vom Rockefeller.
Absolut sein Geld wert, wir hatten es inkl. in der Sightseeing Tour, somit null Wartezeit.

Subir al Rockefeler no se puede describir, a un lado el gran Empìre al otro Central Park. Unas vistas privilegiadas subir al atardecer asi podeis ver de dia y de noche. Es visita obligada.
