Smaller location than others I’ve been to. Mini cheese bread soft, squeaky, buttery, and delicious! Sweet staff

So I gave this place another try after my work on a friday afternoon. There was no one in line so it was quick. I paid for a mocha bread and cream bread. I ordered multigrain latte large hot. It was not as sugary as the first time I had it and I was satisfied with the drink. I went to the bathroom with the code on the receipt. I’d wish they had a coat hanger but it’s ok. It was different this time too from my last visit. They had soap in the soap dispenser and had extra soap bottle on the sink.

I love this place, but the service was rude! Asked to put my pastry in a box. The lady reply with a attitude! «Is a $ 1!».

Quite a few options here at this bakery including coffees, teas, breads, pastries, cakes, and buns! Grab a tray and tong set to grab your favorite baked goods as you walk in and make way to the cake display and premium swiss rolls. This shop seems to get a little less foot traffic than its sister locations and also noticeably less than its competitor, another Korean bakery. Check out is pretty quick, don’t let the line scare you away. The fruit tarts and fruit topped cakes, milk bread, swiss rolls, and cream breads are my go-tos. Definitely try the black sesame cream bread if you’re a black sesame fan! Overall, nice selection of baked goods, but nothing that wows me completely.

This French bakery is a fake. I bought some samples to test out this«French» bakery located in Chinatown. First and most important I purchased a baguette; it was dry and tasteless. Second, I had some macaroons which were light and airy but too sweet. And lastly, I purchased chestnut and walnut buns which looked appetising and tasted sweet and fulfilling. It seems like it is hit and miss with items from this bakery. I will not return.

I was trying to get a cake over the weekend. Went into this bakery. 3 employees in the store no customers need to be served. Waiting for 10 min, no one approach us to help. No even an eye contact. Guess they don’t want my business. Bad customer services. Will never go there again.

Personally never went to this location but my friends purchased a birthday cake for me. My sweet potato cake tasted meh. I’m going to stick with fresh cream cake next time. There’re sure a lot of Korean bakeries popping up in Chinatown lately. I’m not sure how this place will compete with other Chinese bakery since their baked goods are a lot cheaper. However touslesjours is still my favorite bakery because I know their breads are made with good quality ingredients.

I had their Almond Toast, Bread with purple cream cheese filling, and small little orange cookie looking things that comes 8 in a pack. All three items really disappoint. When I taste the food, my taste buds seems to hint the master chef behind the food is a bit confused at what is trying to be accomplished. For instance. The small little orange cookie somewhat resembles those small almond cookies in regular Asian bakeries. This cookie is hard on the outside, and tough to bite into. It doesn’t have much flavor nor have a good texture. It’s in between a mochi glutinous texture, a hard cookie crunchy texture, and the delicate soft chewy texture of the Asian«wife pastry» pancake(called Lao Po Bing). It just couldn’t decide which direction to go and overall just tasted like a piece of so so dough on the palate and tongue. The almond toast and bread with purple cream cheese filing is just mediocre. Nothing too excited about.

I was really excited to see a Jours Les Tours in Chinatown since I really like their pastries and Pat Bing Su(Korean Shaved Ice) in their W 32nd Street location. It is one of my favorite Korean bakery chain. It’s hard for this location since there is so much Chinese bakeries nearby and their prices are almost half the price cheaper. I really like how they had a samples table in the entrance area. So the hot chocolate and ice coffee for me and my friend both was not good. The milk must be at an even balance with the coffee and the chocolate because all we tasted was mainly milk. The bread was only average, I think I can get something similar in the Chinese bakeries! Service is okay. I do intend to come back in the future(possibly at least half a year later) hopefully at that time things will taste better after all they just opened not long ago. I do not want to risk buying their cakes incase it doesn’t taste as creamy and fresh like the W32nd Street location.

Not the best coffee and not the worse, the pastries always look fresh and delicious and the cashiers are always smiling and seem eager to please. Not priced too bad. Would not come out of my way to go here though

This is an attempt to spice up the bakery game in C-Town. I had to walk in and try out what they had to offer. I noticed the décor was eerily similar to a bakery that started in Bayside and Flushing about two years ago but I will not mention the competitor’s name. I got the Royal Milk Tea and all it taste like was a hot milk tea from a typical bubble tea shop. I enjoyed the free sample at the door and studied the dynamics of the displays. It is different and my only wish was that there were either more seating or more room to maneuver. I felt slightly claustrophobic. I will return to try other items on the menu in the near future. The environment is clean and not sticky so I really like that feeling… who wouldn’t.

Stopping by this bakery at least three a week since they opened, I’ve learned the best time to stop by is mid-morning. It isn’t as crowded as the early morning rush with people going to school and work. It’s also the time when the breads have just come out of the oven so it taste even better than going in the afternoon, though the bread is still good albeit a little soggy. Another reason I like going in mid-morning is the staff in the morning are so much more courteous than some of the afternoon staff. I always walk out with a smile on my face in the morning because of the infectious smiles from the morning staff especially the people at the register. One of the girls wearing glasses always goes out of her way to say good morning to me and makes sure my drink is perfect. Her lattes were the best, much better than Starbucks and a few other cafes I’ve been to. Although this is good enough reason to keep coming back, the contrast from the morning to the afternoon is pretty big. I came in during the afternoon and asked the guy behind the register about one of the drinks and he turned away and started talking to the person behind me. He kept saying he was the so called«drink master of the store» to a girl on the side but he wouldn’t even answer my question about the smoothies and the teas. All in all this is a wonderful bakery that I look forward to coming to at any time of the day if the customer service was consistent.

Awesome pastries– just amazing creativity, much better than other plain Asian pastries I’ve tried in recent months/years. I also recently had their birthday cake– very well decorated, not too sweet, top ingredients. Recommended~

I’m excited about this new place in chinatown, we needed a good coffee shop to drink a cappuccino or a expresso and i think this might be the place to go for a dessert and coffee after lunch. i got the caramel macchiato which was excellent and my boyfriend had the double expresso which was good but could be warmer. the pastries i tried were delicious, like the madeleine and the almond crispy croissant. i will definitely come back.

So because this place is new, I’m going to give them some credit. The service definitely needs help. I ordered an iced coffee, which took longer than it takes for me to get one at the Canal Street Starbucks during morning rush hour. The sad thing was that I was the only one in line waiting for a beverage. The cashier was asking for it but no one was communicating with him. Big no-no in any food establishment. For me though, the biggest insult was after(finally) getting my iced coffee, there were ground coffee beans all over the lid. I blew most of it off, but come on. How easy would it have been to change the lid? I don’t believe it’s too much to ask for as a paying customer. I was originally going to give 3 stars, but after having the iced coffee, it is VERY watered down and as a coffee lover, this is a deal breaker. Not great for spending $ 2.50 on a small.

Tous les Jours is the newest addition to Chinatown. It is an upgrade from the local bakeries since some people might prefer french style pastries. Since they just opened, they are suffering between understaffed to overstaffed and exceptionally slow service. Give it a few weeks, I think they will pull through. Despite their slow service, they are much friendlier than those in Koreatown. The cakes from what it seems are apparently cheaper than K Town as well(?). I got the honey bee hamper with a purchase of 20 $ today and it’s so cute! I would definitely return to this Tous as it is conveniently located in Chinatown.

Tous les Jours has now made its way into Manhattan Chinatown. Today is the grand opening of their 4th store in New York City. There are 2 locations in Flushing and one in Manhattan Koreatown. This is touted as a Korean French bakery. I rode my bike past last night and noticed this new shiny store on a pretty dilapidated Division Steet and promised myself I would check it out today. Great addition to this area and let’s hope it stays nice and clean(doubt it given it being in a high traffic area). For lunch, I tried their egg salad sandwich($ 5.25). It was decent but a bit on the sweet side for me. I could only finish half a sandwich. Ice coffee($ 2.50) was fine, decent. For their grand opening, they are putting out free samples of everything. I tried a few things, but they all just tasted the same. Creamy, sweet, and buttery. And for a limited time, if you purchase over $ 20, you can get a free hamper or tumbler. I’m sure this place will do well as it is centrally located and their pastries are decent.
