If I can give 0 stars, I would. This crook does not deserve any stars. Amazingly!!! He rips off the clients. For two american passport photos he charges $ 17.41!!! The prices are posted, but on the lower side of the wall, small printed, hidden, until you see them, you’re already in the picture… He is nasty, rude, and takes advantage of people who do not do the homework!
Guys do not go to this crook for passport photos… go to CVS where it will cost just $ 10. Do not go for anything. He claims that his pictures are «quality». Give me a break, there are just below ordinary… It is a shame that this crook is still in business and can rip off people. I will complain to Business Bureau, to come and investigate his unorthodox business and the way he posts the prices that he overcharges!
Shame on you!

In regards to their framing services. We visited this small local business for a project recently and they couldn’t have been more friendly and helpful when helping us choose the matte and type of frame for our piece. We settled on a fair price and left, excited to pick it up when completed.
Two weeks later for pickup, the same gentleman who planned and designed our frame job insisted that we had to pay more because of the «quality» of his work. Granted, they did a great job but if there are any hiccups along the way during the 2 week window when they’re working on it, call the client and explain. He was completely rude, unprofessional and basically tried to shake us down. Just go to L&O on Duane to avoid that fool.

This review is about their US passport photo service. It was quick and easy. There were no other customers during my visit. I went during lunchtime on a weekday. The guy who helped me showed the shot first from the digital camera before printing. Paid $ 17 and change for 2 pictures, including tax.
On a side note, the store is cluttered and old.

I’m surprised with the very extreme ratings for this place; from the «I LOVE THIS PLACE — 5 stars!» to the «WORST PLACE EVER — 1 star!» As for me, while Trilogy does have its merits, the price is a real-​downer:

Its merits?
— Expertise: They really know their requirements. A patron looking to get his Canadian passport picture taken was in the process of looking for his documents to verify requirements, when the Trilogy guy just started to name the requirements (size, no smiling, etc.) and to my satisfaction, once the patron finds his documents, he confirmed that everything the Trilogy guy had said was accurate. Hence, they know their stuff. It’s always nice to go to a place and be able to trust that they properly take your picture.
— Service: We all dread that terrible passport picture, so I appreciated when the lady patiently waited for me to get ready in the mirror and took several shots until I found the perfect one.
So all-​in-​all, it’s up to you, is this premium worth it? I personally believe that had I looked hard enough, I could have probably found a nice person with a digital camera (so I can see picture previews) who will give me the same service at a cheaper price.

Wonderful service – helped me out in a last-​minute emergency with some photo enlargements and fixed the frame of a large oil painting as well!

Great people. Owner gave me big discount just because I’m printing out a résumé without asking about it. So kind and unexpected. That’s make my day!

Fantastic passport photos! I walked in at lunch and was promptly greeted by the owner. I voiced my dismay with quick, shoddy drugstore passport pictures and he assured me that he would do better. He had professional studio lighting, a better camera rig than the drugstore and would happily take multiple shots to obtain a good pic, as many as were needed.
He posed and adjusted my head, then tidied my bangs (which hang over my eyes) so that my photo wouldn’t be rejected on account of my face being obstructed. He even handed me a mirror so that I could see how I looked before snapping the photos. I took a bunch of shots and selected a lovely one. He was very patient. My photo was developed, printed and trimmed to exact passport standards in 10 minutes. $ 16 for excellent service and a photo that I’m not embarrassed to whip out at customs.

I have been going here for years, ever since my kids were little (they are now going for their first passports on their own!) I have always found Mark to be warm and willing to go the extra mile, stay open late to accommodate me after work, etc. And the turnaround time for holiday photos is pretty fast. I find this to be a long-​time neighborhood shop with solid quality and non-​chain-​store customer relations (in other words, real human beings).

Did the job on passport photo, but is $ 27 the going rate for 4 copies? Seems steep.

I’ve tried to support this business because I try to give my dollars to
local, small businesses. From now on, I will be ordering my prints online or supporting another, less convenient establishment. I’ve given Trilogy the benefit of the doubt one too many times and he has proven that he is not only horribly rude, but incompetent to boot.
The first time I was here, I had some cheap disposable cameras from my wedding.
Him: Where did you get these?
Me: Ebay.
Him: How much were they?
Me: I don’t know.
Him: Well that’s strange. Usually when you buy something, you know how much it costs.
Me: Well you know, they were for a wedding. I bought a lot of stuff and I don’t remember how much each thing cost.
Then he lectured me on how they weren’t good quality, started a speech about ISOs and such and finally I cut him off. I told him they were just for fun, that I’m a professional photographer, and that I know all of these things and that I simply want the film developed. (The pictures were just fine, by the way.)
Last night, I took an SD card with two TIFF images that were professionally re-​sized and triple checked, before my very eyes, on Photoshop. They are 11×17. The woman (his wife, I presume) put the card in the computer. Then she left. He took my money, and then told me that the files are 11×14 ½. What? I said that it really concerned me and he suggested that it would be good for him to call, if they were not in fact 11×17, so I could let them know whether or not to print them. Since the woman left, he could not check. Apparently he does not know how. He asked if I needed frames THREE TIMES. I understand the up-​sell, but once is sufficient.
He did manage to call. (But he is always SO nasty, dealing with him is awful.) Now he claims that the files are «precisely 11×15». Then he tried to start an argument with me. Ok, buddy. Now I’ll be late for my after work plans so I can go obtain a refund and I’m stressed on getting these prints made since I spent two days dealing with a jerk who can’t manage to do his job.
UPDATE: I was able to get the prints made at another local photo lab for a third of the price. When I had gone back to get my refund, the guy was sweet as pie and had printed my photos smaller «because I’m a regular customer». He did a lot of mumbling about how, in order to print the size I wanted, he was going to have to crop this or that and tried to explain how I re-​sized the photos «incorrectly». Interestingly enough, upon checking those files in Photoshop once again, they were absolutely no doubt 11×17 AND there was no issue getting them printed as such at another establishment. Why, you may ask? Well, because they were the correct size all along.
And yes, as the other reviews discuss, he does offer a «free» CD disc, but requires a $ 5 «deposit on each roll of film. The 11×17 prints I will not be paying for were overpriced too. Sad to say, I could have had them printed online for half the price. I shouldn’t have bothered returning after my first miserable experience, but I mistakenly gave him a second chance because I’ve done customer service and I know it can be draining. Now, it is clear that he is just not a professional nor does he have the ability to act it. I mean really, printing an 11×17 is not that hard if you’re a «photo lab».
The store is cluttered, dirty looking, and long overdue for a makeover. The window displays look like they were done in the 70s and so do the creepy prints they have up as samples. Paint on the shelves in chipping, badly. The prices on merchandise are all handwritten and the selection is so-​so. Batteries are less expensive than in drug stores and there are some decent frames, but the attitude is not worth the money you’ll be saving.
Maybe it’s an issue with the block? I’ve noticed several businesses, such as the beauty store and the now out-​of-​business nail salon, are similarly challenged in the customer service department.

I came here for my Canadian passport photo. The average going rate was $ 15-​$ 20, But the charge here came very steep at $ 27! The owner told me its a 15 minute wait, which is really long for passport pictures. he said it’s because of prints scheduled before me.10 minutes later, another customer came in for pp photos and was again told 15 minutes wait. I was like, wait a minute you told me 15 ten minutes ago! The owner is very rude and told me, «you already waited 10, if you dont like 15 more minutes, leave.» This shop charges 27 dollars and made me wait half an hour for 2 simple pictures, which most place charge around 15 and produce instant. The horrible attitude of the owner is rubbing salt to the injury. Avoid at all cost!

Needed passport photos, this place was very quick and met expectations.

Guy knows his stuff, has templates for global photo requirements, and the right camera hardware.

IF I wanted to get shitty overpriced mistreatment from an angry misogynistic troll.
But basically, this guy charges a five dollar «deposit» for every roll of film he develops, but then claims that the picture disc is free? Baloney. He’s incompetent and unwilling to admit to mistakes. He talks down to his customers, and the inside of his store is reminiscent of the Unibomber’s shack.
This man single-​handedly makes a legitimate case for the ease of digital film and I will NEVER let this clown develop my film again.
