Universal Survey Center

A few weeks ago, Universal emailed me asking me if I’d like to come and work for them again even though I quit. (I have a better job, thanks)
They’re obviously desperate for workers seeing as they can’t keep employees because their company is full of crap.
Do not work here. When they call, just hang up on them. Hanging up helps the employee because if they can’t say anything, they’re not: technically: at fault.

This place is the WORST workplace environment ever! I don’t care to know how it maybe now but in 2010… Horrible!!! They are quick to reprimand and send workers home when a survey isn’t completed in a certain amount of time. Most of the surveyors were Caucasian¿ and we were told to put that «voice» on. Of course that didn’t help. Most workers were spewed with racial epithets. Anyone can work here cause they don’t do NØ background checks. A bunch of arrogant especially the supervisors, minimum wage paid employees (mostly convicts) with their high & mighty attitudes! Really though? They sent me an e-​mail offering former employees employment around the worst time, the holidays when no work is available, to be told I’d been «late» and not eligible for rehire. So you didn’t know this before contacting me¿. Thanks, NØ thanks and good riddance to this garbage ass company…

Operators call for 7 hour shifts, ending at 10 PM for each time zone. Operators have no control over who they call when… the system controls everything. The «system» has a «take me off your list» selection, a frequent response, but the operator has no control over whether that’s enforced, or how long it will take to happen.
And of course, the surveys themselves are completely asinine and usually deal with shopping and consumer habits — probably about 1 out of every 10 surveys actually carries some political relevance. (But when you hear «public opinion polls» mentioned on TV, you know how they get those results!)
The experience I had here, a job sent directly from the «public assistance» center, was very educational for how polls are (still) conducted. Just don’t get mad at the person on the phone — s/​he doesn’t have much choice.
The only valuable service this business provides is a job for people who have nothing else.

This company called me last night during dinner on my cell phone. I don’t know how they got my number, but it doesn’t matter. They called again today but I didn’t answer it. The number that showed up on my phone is 646−467−6665, and with that information, I found their reviews here. After that, I figured out how to block their calls on my phone so that I wouldn’t have to deal with them again. On the Samsung 4, just press the lower left button and one of the options is, «add to reject list.» I selected that, and voila! No more calls. Go on line to search how to block calls from your phone, and you won’t be bothered by them again.

I’ve received calls two nights in a row, last night at 8:45pm and tonight at 9:45pm. Wtf they are based out of Ny?! I’m in California. What telemarketing company has ppl calling them at midnight?!? What a joke! I put myself on the do not call list but we’ll see… Totally out of line!

I got called illegally from this number (646−467−6665) to my cellphone both yesterday and today. They say they are conducting a survey for «XYZ» company, and they call at or past dinner time. When I tell them this is a cell phone number that is on the «Do Not Call» list, they hang up abruptly. This is a terrible and illegal service. Today, the call was supposedly a survey for SSRS (Social Science Research Solution)… this is enraging and completely illegal. They should be shut down. Does anyone know the best way to stop this??? Will calling the FCC solve anything?

This company sucks ass! They have been harassing me all day! When I ask to be taken off the list they say the computer randomly dials. Bullshit! They had the nerve to call at 9:45 last night! This is why America is tanking and losing respect all over the world.

Once again another P.O.S company that needs to be off the face of the EARTH!
I am getting calls from these sub humans several times a day. The latest call was at 9:47 p.m. I am looking to file a class action lawsuit against this company now…
UNIVERSAL SURVE 646 467 6665 — BEWARE!
I recently had a BIG problem with my wireless provider.
I HIGHLY suspect that my contact and personal information may have been breached. Calling them now to have them blocked and looking to file a lawsuit.

It is like working in hell. They hire anybody. They do not have security guards. They have few places to sit in the break-​room. They overbook so that they can send ppl home who do not meet their quotas. They pay $ 7.50 an hour. They have helicopter supervisors who keep pressuring ppl to do better. Their surveys are too long. They ask you to sound happy on the phone when you’re harassing ppl who do not want to be bothered and only getting $ 7.50 for it. Ppl will start the surveys but not finish because they’re so long. You call ppl anyway even if they are on the DO Not Call List. I feel bad for anyone who can be reached because with my cell, I can block ppl, so Universal would not reach me. They would go out of business because I do not pick up blocked numbers, suspected spam, etc. They send you texts reminding you of when you’re scheduled to work. Their rules took 45 minutes to read of Do’s and Don’ts. For $ 7.50 they expect the world. It is an unhealthy place to work. I lasted 1 day and never went bk. They give you less than 30 hours of work, so imagine how much you take home. They pay only every 2 weeks. The break-​room is packed to capacity. When you’re on the phone the supervisors will have conversations about how to do the job with others not doing a survey causing you not to hear what the person on the phone is saying. They do not do any interviews. You give them I.D. and you start work the next day. Ppl wear anything to work. Their rules include wearing anything as long as they’re not hats, shorts, sunglasses and as long as no butt-​crack is showing, ppl can wear anything. If you speak another language, you get a few cents more. If you do well, you get a 15 cents raise. Yay:) This place asks you to conform and swallow everything and in order for me to ever work there again, life has to punish me even more. HELL… They will eventually make the news because a place like that, it’s amazing that they have not.

These guys will call you at all hours of the day to annoy you. They don’t allow you to opt out and BE CAREFUL as whatever their form is online, it will likely opt you in to 10 more lists. They are breaking the law as they’re calling all the numbers on the government’s DO NOT CALL list!!!

This is a calling center that keeps calling us several times a week — in the evenings — even though 1) we are on the do not call list, and 2) they’ve been told multiple times not to call us. Agents tell us that we’ll be removed from their list, but they keep calling. This has been going on for months.
Their claim is that because they’re not «soliciting» they don’t have to pay attention to the Do Not Call list — so yeah, this might not be illegal, but it’s irritating as hell, and I hope anyone considering using them is aware that they’re smelling up the joint with these business practices. Why can’t they just stalk people quietly on the internet like everyone else?
