My wife and I had their burger special on a Monday (2 for 1). The burgers were great — very moist and the buns were equally tasty. Fries and salad greens were excellent compliments to the burgers. Service was timely and friendly, and the prices were reasonable. Good beer selection. We will definitely return.

Love this place as a nice, casual, warm inviting German influenced restaurant/​bar with a really cute beer garden in the back that’s enclosed and open for seating even now.
We came here for beer after dinner, and their German beer sampler was amazing — all 3 of the beers tasted amazing, and I’m particular with my beer.
The atmosphere was clean and very welcoming, and the beer garden area in the back is cute and inviting. A great spot for brunch and I can’t wait to have drinks outside when it gets nice and they open up the garden roof.
Service was amazing — extremely friendly, passionate about the business and even gave me a little tour to see the back beer garden area, and knowledgable about beers. Nialle in particular was wonderful.
Highly recommend as a nice casual restaurant and bar to go for German influenced food and beer.

Came in with a party of 12 for the Syracuse game and they were great. The food was good, and the fries were excellent. Very accommodating and would definitely come back.

Decent bar, but the food is ridiculously overpriced. $ 16 for a small bowl of soup (the «lamb stew») is dumb as is $ 5 for a tiny pretzel.

The Hot Wings are fantastic! Some of the best I have had in NYC. Shrimp poboy was on point too! Highly recommend for people in the area but also worth the trek to the UES just for the wings! Has a beer garden in the back that is really nice as well. Will be back for sure.

I have gone to a ton of beer gardens in the city and in the other boroughs, and this one is a gem. The food is on point — french fries are plentiful and the sausages are delicious and crispy on the outside /​not dry at all. I love how they rotate their beers so frequently that they tell me that there might be one or two bottles left of the beers I probably would like based on what I ordered previously. The guy who took our order was wearing a star wars t-​shirt which won my heart. The back garden is spacious and the chairs are fun to sit on. It’s a bit dark at nighttime — might be helpful to have some strung lights or more candles on the table. It isn’t too crowded right now since it is relatively new — but it already feels like there are friendly regulars here. They should note somewhere on the front windows that they have a back garden but then again, I don’t want it to get too crowded :)
They also have gluten-​free beer (like omission!) and a variety of ciders! Definitely coming back here on a regular basis.

Tip: Come to sit outside. Outdoor seating in the front, as well as a small biergaten in the back.
Story: Came here around 5pm on a weekend to have some casual beers with some friends. Great beer selection and everyone enjoyed mixing and matching flights. Pretty good service. Didn’t try the food.
I’ll definitely be going back to sit outside and enjoy some beer outside.

Been here a couple times now. The menu is sort of all over the place (Irish, German, French) so I was a little skeptical at first but everything I’ve had has exceeded expectations. The staff is also very knowledgable and fun.

… Entirely too expensive, drink prices too high, food not bad but servings way too small for the price. This place won’t succeed as most don’t at this spot, if the prices were better it could but I liked it basically but not going back. Overpriced drinks and left hungry after eating a 15 dollar meal.

Cute little bar with a small outdoor «biergarten» area. Great service. Food a bit overpriced but great $ 5 HH draft beers of different varietals. Nearby us, which is why we go.

I’m not a beer drinker but i enjoyed the cocktails and the food was much better than expected. The fries in particular were good. The garden is delightful. The only reason I’m not giving them five stars is that service is friendly but occasionally clueless. We were there on a Thursday night and the bartender got my drink order wrong not once but twice. I should have complained about it at the time but didn’t. Both drinks were on their special cocktail menu so she should have known better.

A Biergarten in Yorkville?! Amazing. Great beer, great staff, awesome outdoor space. I wish the menu had more vegetarian options. Or turkey/​veggie burgers. Other than that, it’s perfect!

So happy this place reinvented itself. My new favorite spot on the upper east side. Amazing beer, bartenders and food. The outdoor patio is fantastic.

Newly opened, neat bar off the 2^nd ave strip in UES. Decent beer collection and there’s outdoor seating in the front as well as in the back by the biergarten.
Good bar for a few drinks, but I wish they had steins to have the real German «biergarten» feel, similar to Heildberg.
Would go back — haven’t tried the food.

Really great beer selection would make this Upper East Side newcomer worth a visit in any circumstance but the staff is outstanding. Friendly (but not obtrusive) and knowledgable about the product. Definitely merits a stop, even if you’re not an «uptown local!»

Just ordered the chicken schnitzel, it was deli-​icious.
The Biergarten is nicer than over at The Heidelberg. Plus it’s a few blocks away from home.

Yay! A new beer garden spot in Yorkville! Like a blast from the past.
Along an area on 1^st Avenue that is a bit out of the way and maybe hard to find, but worth a visit to escape the beaten path of bars that reside on 2^nd Ave.
Hey, variety is the spice of life, right? It was nice to check out a new spot to chug down a few cold craft brews on a warm summer night. Schofferhofer has become one of my summer favs and it’s such a refreshing beer with a grapefruity taste.
15 – 16 brews on tap. Everything from Spaten to Ommegang to Sly Fox to Sixpoint to Brooklyn to Gaffel Kolsch and more. Great choices!
An assortment of libations in bottles and cans. Happy Hour Mon-​Fri from 5pm to 7pm with $ 2 off all draft beers.
Seems a bit pricey on some of the selections but a nice new neighborhood spot. Plenty of seating in a German beer garden type of setting with a really great little backyard area under a tent with picnic bench style seating.
Small menu with something for everyone on it from German standards like brats and schnitzel to burgers and salads. Gotta check out the eats next time I’m there.
Friendly bartenders and a laid back atmosphere that avoids the fratty crowds which accumulate at bars in this part of town.
Yeah, this will be a good spot to hit up for a nightcap before heading home after weekend bar hopping.

I’m very happy this place opened around the corner from me. Good mix of food and drink and the staff seem genuinely friendly.
The patio are out back is a nice touch for a quiet spot to grab a drink.
This place is worth a try. I know I will be back soon enough.
