UYE – Yorkville Impregnation Beer Crawl

If Phil says that he is hosting a UYE, is a event that you can not miss for the world. I had a lot of fun: drinking, eating, talking and bar hopping with a big crew of Unilocalers and not Unilocalers. We start at 1: ish PM and I give up around 6ish PM, after we arrived at the last bar.

PS. The funniest part was meeting with Anderson Twin Brother lol.

I actually witnessed this well most of it. Phil did his thing, got the good selection of bars and they were seriously right next to each other, a block or half a block away in some cases. I got to the first spot but a little late Bonduarants. It was on my list to try because I also missed it at last year bar crawl. This was epic and way larger crowd than last year I must say. Phil did the greatest job picking out which bars for us to attend. After Bondurants, we hit Five Mile Stone, which was some place I had wanted to check out as well. There was plenty of drinks there from the Gun Hill Brewery in the Bronx. Great choices because the cherry was on point and so was the Gold. I made it to a few other stop (Formerly Tin Lizzie– THAT is how I REMEMBERED it), well it was the Supply House. The crew got some food there and was many drink options. I also hit the next spot City Swiggers then I was pretty much ready to pass out as I had not been drinking much water (none at all the whole time). I got home maybe 10 pm after going somewhere else then just passed out. I was sad I didn’t really see too much rauchiness, I mean a little yeah. No visible signs of wow these two might end up making a baby tonight. The world did get the first official Jordeva picture together, so that was something.

After the prior night’s debauchery at the Citi field Party deck, I woke up realizing that I had another UYE lined up and hastily showered and changed for the occasion. Of course, we arrived fashionably late but just in time to find (exceptionally large and already a little toasty) group and head into the second bar. For such a beautiful day, we lucked out and got to hang out on a second floor deck, very NOLA style. We ping ponged through second avenue, drinking eating and enjoying the company of other crazy Unilocalers in style. I made a few more friends which is always a pleasure and was able to make it home, alive and in one piece. Unfortunately the next morning definitely felt some pain. I won’t *blame* Phil… but I will have a few coughs that sound suspiciously like his name…
It is great to support local bars and find new treasures in a place I don’t often hang out. Here’s to exploring more next year! Thanks Phil!

Phil has always gotten on my ass about not reviewing UYEs, so here we go. This shindig was terrible and sucked like a high-​powered vacuum. I am close to none of these people and what a bunch of snooze bombs they were. Somehow Anderson showed up and called himself Jerome. Sunshine thought Pat was Karen and I thought all three of them were the same person. We had absolutely zero fun and I want my money back even though the actual «crawl» part of the bar crawl was free.
All of those are lies, actually. To my friends, whatever I said or did while on my seventeenth drink, I did not mean. Unless I grabbed your junk and licked whipped cream off of your left breast-​because I meant those actions. I actually lost money by attending this crawl, but Phil & Co. are worth at least a couple of hundred dollars. These are some of the best people I have ever known and I look forward to seeing all of them again. Hugs to all of you, you goddamn party animals.

You have to hand it to Phil, he did a hell of a job putting this thing together. He was even cool enough to go from bar to bar beforehand and secure us some great deals for the day of the event. We showed up like a pack of soon to be drunken school kids on some sort of debouched field trip; a sizable group, thirsty and ready to go. We drank and got rowdy, cruising up second ave (ok stumbling…). Good times were had, and as far as I am aware no one actually got impregnated. Anderson even showed up after a while (that was Anderson right guys?). Best of all though was that I managed to not get pregnant, a real win win if you ask me.
