I contacted Weiss & Associates after reading the online reviews. I reached out to them 4 days prior to my court date. I was looking at 11 points with a lot of fines and a suspended license. They made sure not to overpromise which was a bit unnerving at first. Given the nature of court cases it really comes down to the police officer and their testimony. I made sure to get them the original tickets and do my due diligence to help build my case.
My fine was reduced to a meager 2 points and small fine.
Overall Weiss & Associates works hard to stay in communication with you and answer any questions you have.

Weiss & Associates are very professional when dealing with my case. Their associates are honest and fair. I read some of the negative reviews on this by other people and realize that it is illogical for anyone to guarantee a dismissal so I doubt this was actually promised in the initial conversation. Weiss’s team gave me a consultation and provided honest opinion regarding the win rate vs loss. I knew there is no such thing as guaranteed and they never stated it was. As NYC is a «win all or loss all» verdict and not subject to negotiated settlement. I knew it would be difficult the win, but I’ve had a spotless driving record and didn’t want my improper turn case go against me. I hired this team since 2014, they have fought my case for 2+ years for that one agreed price, never once coming back or giving up on the case itself. From my encounters and correspondence, they went to court 5 times. To me even if they didn’t win, I felt bad that they were going through this much length to get me a dismissal. Eventually today, I’ve received an email that the case was dismissed. I felt compelled to give them a review, NOT because they won the case (glad they did), but for all the efforts and close to three years of work and serviced to get this result.
Thanks for everything Weiss! almost 3 years and 5 court attempts, proves they work hard and honest for their clients. I definitely will send more referrals to this team. And for others reading this review, know that there is absolutely NO guarantees on moving violations cases. (especially in NYC) but best of luck from one motorist to another.

Thank you Weiss and Associates for getting my improper cell phone usage ticket (with five points attached) dismissed! This firm is easy to get in contact with and explained everything thoroughly. I would recommend them to anyone with a traffic violation they are looking to fight. The fee was well worth the end result.

I got a ticket for speeding with a possible 6 point penalty. The law firm managed to get my ticket dismissed thankfully! The firm was very easy to work with and kept me in the loop as needed. I didn’t have to go to court of set up any special meetings! It was all done via email and one or two calls tops. This was especially helpful because I don’t live in NYC. I will definitely be using them again (assuming I get into another ticket… Hopefully not soon!) and am highly recommending them to friends and family. You will not be disappointed!

I received a speeding ticket literally coming off of FDR (drive) Highway onto an exit ramp and the officer tagged me going 50 mph in what he claims was an «un-​posted 25mph zone» — NYC will get their pound of flesh.
I did considerable research on who to go with for my speeding ticket violation. A representative from Weiss contacted me promptly after I submit my case to a few firms. I decided with them because I liked that they assured me they would WORK for me, and not just show up. They would deploy tactics to fight the ticket etc. etc. I had evidence myself to fight the ticket, as the cop claims he spotted my vehicle at over 1000 ft away and got my speed visually as well as radar. I even had pictured from his point of view, at an estimated 1000ft, he could have easily been tagging an adjacent car… enough evidence that any court judge could dismiss. I just couldn’t afford any points.
In short… Weiss showed up for me, and I was charged 4 points for speeding. GREAT, now my insurance will increase, and I get moving points added to my record. despite their rhetoric, these guys will most likely send their newest intern or associate to city hall, and HOPE the officer doesn’t show up. At the end of it all, they DIDN’t work for me and did NOT employ any of the aforementioned «tactics» and it cost me a total $ 600, along with a nice hike in insurance.

Efficient service with great communications, I never felt «alone».
Instrumental in obtaining «dismissed» for «U turn» ticket.
Weiss fee is a LOT less than the cost of several years of insurance increases.
Also, Matt is a very good listener — he can put the NOT in front of Guilty!

I received a speeding ticket because I apparently* went over the speed limit 21 mph. I called here to see my options, the staff was very friendly and informative, answered all my questions and doubts. After seeing so many good reviews I decided to give them a try and they dismissed my ticket which would’ve been 6 pts on my license. The process takes time, do not expect quick results; you have to play the waiting game but its worth it! I would highly recommend them to anyone!

The wheels of justice turns but it turns slowly. 15 months after I got my ticket, Weiss & Associates were able to get the ticket resolved in my favor. I’m very happy with the results. Just don’t expect quick results.

Professional, patient, and honest. I had a ticket that was set for a hearing for the next day! I was referred by a friend to Weiss & Associates. He has been a satisfied client for sometime and urged me to hire them for my representation. With my hearing due in less than 24 hours I needed representation that will take my case serious with the little time of preparation. After having the misfortune to receive a traffic citation in NYC, I sought Matthew’s advice and emailed him with the details of the ticket. I’m extremely impressed by the knowledge of Attorney Weiss. Without delving into the details of my case right now while the case is still pending (I absolutely will update after this matter closes). Mr. Weiss promptly returned a call that I fielded to one of his paralegals, and actually wasn’t upset or impatient even though he had written a lengthy blog post on my exact question beforehand which I could have easily Googled :)
Coming from Dallas, Texas, we have a lot more due process and respect for the letter and the spirit of the law when it comes to traffic tickets. I understand that may not be the case in NYC. But regardless, I feel confident that Weiss and Associates will do their best job in defending me in this traffic matter.
I do not intend to change my rating of Mr. Weiss even if there is an unfavorable outcome because I am extremely impressed by both his passion and competence in NY traffic law, something I never saw with traffic attorneys in Texas.

Don’t bother hiring them for speeding tickets. New York City is a win or lose state, there are no negotiations or pleas to reduce the points or fine amount and the odds are never going to be your favor even with a law firm representing you. Weiss and Associates will tell you that but they wont tell you that 90% to 95% of speeding tickets are never dismissed and you will be paying a fine, along with the DMV assessment fee and their fee. Save yourself the frustration and just pay the speeding fine and the assessment and with the money you save from their fee take the defensive driving course to reduce the points you will be getting.

Dont look anywhere else for a lawyer to fight your traffic tix. I freaked out on Sunday evening after realizing that I forgot a court date in Queens, NYC. I emailed Weiss & Associates first thing on Monday morning and Matt Weiss himself replied back to me quickly and gave me great advice at no charge with regards to my traffic infraction. Thanks again. Hopefully I never have to retain him but will if it happens again!

I’m very pleased with the work that Weiss & Associates did after a rather overzealous cop pulled me over for a bogus moving violation a while back. From the beginning Weiss & Associates was courteous, informative and responsive. I dealt with a paralegal most of the time, as is usually the case in such matters, and she couldn’t have been more pleasant and responsive. The case resulted in a not guilty verdict after trial in the NYC traffic court.
Now, I should point out that I’ve handled tickets myself before in NYC traffic court, on two previous occasions, and both times the tickets were dismissed. So I have a pretty good opinion of that court, obviously. Still, with the cost of insurance nowadays, it’s important to get such potentially expensive nuisances tossed out. For that reason it is prudent to be represented, and Weiss & Associates, which specializes in these cases, clearly knows its stuff.

ok, I am so glad I found Weiss & Associates. I did an internet search for a reputable NY traffic law firm while waiting in my car for a ticket to be issued to me on 10^th Avenue. It turned out to be 5 tickets ! (insert over-​zealous rookie here)
At that point, I put it all in the hands of Weiss & Associates — -and, man, did they deliver.
Fast forward to less than five months later: I just got an email that states all 5 tickets were dismissed.

Soooo… I was caught speeding 30+ miles over the limit in upstate New York in the gorgeously fast rental car I was driving for a business trip.
What can I say? First violation? I commute by subway and own an older car for just for leisure — so I can’t even speed like this normally or my engine will fall out of my car? Trying to make up lost travel time to return said sexy rental car on-​time?
What about the horrible driver 5 minutes behind me that I was trying to put distance on so I didn’t have to deal with his tailgating, lane-​switching and shenanigans?

Having previously worked in a court as a judicial clerk, I’ll tell you — judges do not give a flying expletive. Apologetic or not — you’re likely going to be bullied in the courtroom by the trooper/​cop or the judge for your mistake to make sure they think you understand the risk you took. You’re going to feel like you’re five, you’re going to feel indignant because they’ve done this so many times they don’t do it with tact and you’re just going to angrily mess up while trying to explain further. Or cry. I’ve watched from the sidelines so many times. You need a lawyer.
Whether it’s to make sure an out of state ticket won’t effect you, or just to talk hypotheticals on insurance risks — you need a lawyer.

After completing a pain-​free $ 35 online defensive driving course, my ticket was fought down to a non-​speeding violation that has no points, a much smaller fine.
While I had no previous violations, my brother (who had lived in upstate NY for college) told me the courts up there can be notoriously rough on what they see as ‘speeding tourists’, so I’m more than satisfied with the outcome.
Sure, you’d love to be the lucky one whose ticket disappears, but hey — I screwed up, should reasonably expect some kind of consequence and the fact that I didn’t have to drive back up personally to defend my actions was crucial for my schedule.
