From the moment I walked up to the building I fell in love. This space is gorgeous with ample space, large windows and amazing detail. I thoroughly enjoyed working and meeting with my colleagues at this space!

This is such a cute place for new start up businesses.
The stairs are a killer — they’re part of the old building structure and they’re not level at all. There’s this one particular step that is a bit lower in the middle than any of the other steps. On the outside it looks like any other old run down building but the inside has been remodeled and looking really new.
I love it. If you’re a new start-​up business it’s worth to check wework out.

I was very impressed by WeWork. We have a 4 person office at the Soho location. The staff there is very courteous and professional. Very impressive all around. I’ve visited and worked from similar places from coast to coast and WeWork is the best I’ve seen. I highly recommend WeWork.

Now that I’m headed to WeWork proper for a shared office space upstairs, I feel that is safe to write a review of the great coworking alternative offered by WeWork in Soho called the Lounge.
Located at 162 Lafayette Street (around the corner from 154 Grand Street which is the main WeWork Soho entrance) the Lounge is an entirely «open» workspace — there are no set or established desks — merely everyone uses a first come, first serve method. There are some work tables and there is printing/​scanning available, but the only «closed» space is in the conference room.
For $ 275/​month members are permitted access to the Lounge from 8 am to 8 pm weekdays. There is coffee/​tea, hot/​cold water, lockers (cubbies), printing/​scanning of documents & a conference room. Members can also receive mail to the main entrance & package service as well.
The coworking space has a diversity of members — from writers, to tech startups, to attorneys & accountants — I have made some excellent personal & professonal contacts while in the Lounge.
Even though I will be moving upstairs across from the Labs shortly, I will miss my Lounge contacts & I am sure to come back downstairs to visit.
One of the best kept low-​cost coworking solutions for the Soho area, the Lounge is a great place if looking for part-​time office space without a lot of monthly overhead.

Decent place. The staff is very friendly and helpful. There is an overall younger atmosphere in this place with many small companies filling out their roster. They constantly hold networking events to get people in the building working together in their own lounge downstairs. They always have beer and hors d’oeuvres so you can at least go for that. I won a skin care package there which I promptly gave away, but it was still nice to win something. There used to be a chalkboard in the bathroom until people wrote religious and immature stuff on the wall but they still do play some pretty kickass music in there.
I guess the failings are kind of the building itself? I had worked in an office here for over a year and every day, I thought I would trip over the uneven wooden stairs from the front of the building. It was so easy to set a foot wrong. And there’s one step that sounds like they hid a bunch of dishes underneath it. The walls are also very thin so if you have someone loud working around you, you can definitely here them. My office was pretty loud sometimes and you could see people around us were not happy about it.
Also, the internet can be a bit spotty, going on and off intermittently. The atmosphere control on the inside is a bit. intense. My experience was that it was always way too hot or too cold. Oh also, I mean this is a general rule I guess, but make sure you use a surge protector with your computer! There was a power surge here and some guy’s computer blew up who had plugged directly into the wall. We had to evacuate, there was a bunch of smoke and they have to call the fire department. Know where your fire extinguishers are. It was intense.

The concept is fresh, new and innovative. Many people have told me about the atmosphere, so I checked it out for myself and was pleased to discover great networking opportunities and new contacts.
The sexy Soho location makes it convenient for me to travel to and from work.
Several locations and the month-​to-​month commitment sweeten the deal as well.

Before We Work, I had never heard of the concept of a «boutique communal office space.» Now after working here for a few weeks for a project downtown, I strongly believe I can no longer return to the gray, drab cubicle life that so many companies resign their employees to.
We Work Lounge, located in the heart of nolita, offers a chic space where you’ll find a diverse mix of creative, entrepreneurial, and business savvy individuals. Step into the lounge and you’ll find it’s impossible to ignore the energy and charge that emanates from the room. Not only is the productivity infectious, but the collaborative spirit and openness of each person makes it easy to network and foster the exchange of ideas. Within just the past few weeks, I already feel like I’m a member of this elite community and have met folks ranging in expertise from film, advertising, software development and fashion, just to name a few.
The space itself is brimming with sunlight and offers plenty of seating options ranging from vintage green couches to long communal tables. It’s easy to mistake the lounge for a new, yet un-​heard of coffee shop and indeed you’ll see plenty of passerbys attempt to pull open the glass doors to check out what’s going on inside– only for them to realize the doors are locked to outsiders. Special We Work key entry only, sorry!
The We Work staff clearly works hard to maintain the cleanliness of the lounge and they provide all the basic office needs, even providing a caffeine fix. Each morning there are two airpots of fresh coffee with milk and a canister of raw sugar. And if there are ever any issues or questions, you can hop right on upstairs and talk directly to a helpful staff member.
Aside from the beautiful space and the sense of community, what’s really the best part of We Work Lounge? Each night the space closes right at 8pm so the idea of a «late night» at the office is literally impossible! How very refreshing, especially to us workaholic New Yorkers.
