Who’s Walking Who Dog Obedience Behavioral Training

Stacy is wonderful. Sure, she’s a bit strict and her no bullsh*t manner isn’t for everyone. But she loves the dogs and she knows everything about force free training. If you follow her guidelines, you will achieve the results you desire. People have to realize that sometimes dogs need a little more structure. She gives you kind, humane and force-​free boundaries for you and your dog, in order to build a mutually respectful relationship. I took several classes with her (intermediate obedience with my Lab, Growl class with my Akita and several private lessons). I first met with Stacy over 10 years ago, but I still recommend her to struggling dog owners. She’s a training guru and I consider her one of the greats! My only question — why doesn’t she have her own TV show yet?! (Prob cause she’s better than those reality tv idiots!)

Stacey was amazing! We hired her to help us with our two dogs, who would sometimes get into fights. She taught us how to re-​structure our home in order to full fill the needs of our dogs. From more exercise to tethering techniques, we are on track to a peaceful and fun home! The session was so helpful and gave us confidence as doggie owners.

I have only had one evaluation so far so I’ll be back for a follow-​up.
I have a rescued pit-​mix who has some issues so I called WWW for an evaluation, thinking I’d take her to the Growl Class, a special class for naughty dogs. Stacy and an assistant met with me and my dog Cola for 90 minutes, watching her with other dogs and asking very detailed questions. I was impressed with her methodical attention to detail and seemingly no-bullsh*t manner. She asked me what my goals were and told me what Cola and I would need to do to reach those goals. She said Cola could probably do a regular obedience class even though she has some leash aggression, which was good to hear. But Stacy assured me she was being honest and not just telling me what I wanted to hear.
On the downside, she doesn’t come to Brooklyn so it’s kind of a treck but we loved the 2 plus hour walk home over the bridge! Also it’s QUITE pricey for an evaluation but so far I think it’s worth it.

We took the basic group course with our puppy and were impressed. This was actually our second basic class after a marginally useful course at Petco.
The instruction was good and there were typically 2 assistant trainers and the main trainer for each session. Now that our dog is a little older we will be heading back for intermediate classes soon.
