Isn’t there a «- Stars» rating? Only because I needed to leave this review is my rating of the one measly star. I have a friend who is a PAID client and has been disrespected in every possible way. Patronized and felt to feel like she was asking for charity. Her last visit she was humiliated and embarrassed when she asked a routine question about her case!!! How dare she??? She has experienced this same behavior from everyone she has encountered in this office. And like the person who left the other review, Tina C. she was cut down to size because she happened to visit the office without an appointment. What is wrong with these people??? I have a good mind to report them to the BBB and the Bar Association! How dare they mistreat their client, much less any human being the way they do!!! People go to them in their darkest hour and in their time of need and this is what they get??? My poor friend practically didn’t make it to my house without crying in the trains! And she’s afraid to say anything to anyone because of repercussions. Well, I’m sorry I didn’t see Tina C.‘s review before she PAID (in full) for their so called services!!! I hope this helps anyone else who is thinking of hiring Wilens & Baker.

Think twice before going to Wilens and Baker. There are a lot of law firms on the area way way better. You can see a lot of negative feedback/​reviews on the net not just on Unilocal.
We experienced the rudest lawyer in NYC c/​o Mr Lawrence Wilens, the owner himself. He’s very impatient and definitely the most unprofessional lawyer I’ve ever met. Knowing that he’s the president of the firm makes it even worst. The way I see lawyers changed because of this man!

Trivia: You’ll wonder why a lot of people recommend them? After reading some articles on the net, we found out that they launched a very good advertising campaign before in NYC subways. Would that be the reason? Better check first with those who really experienced them.

This has got to be the most inefficient lawyers office i have ever step foot into. Not only are they never there when you want to speak to them about important manners, they never return phone calls. They are rude people and aren’t considerate of peoples situations. The secretary is the worst. She is rude and even had the nerve to say i have mental problems, all because i kept asking what was taking them so long. The lawyers even ridiculed me.
Bakers is super rude, he only attends people if they have money. And if you don’t he makes sure that you get out of the office as quick as possible because apparently they have better things to do than attend their potential clients.
I would never recommend anyone to go to this place. This is the worst place ever, if you know what is good for you, do NOT go here if you need help. All you get out of this is that your money is stolen and pretty sure none of the problems for which you went into the office for in the first place were fixed.

Upon the threshold of a violate massive storm in my life, I needed legal assistance as I’ve seen numerous print ads on the notorious New York City’s MTA Subway system. Upon entering their very elaborate office it appears Wilens & Baker were a factory operation of impersonal, inattentive customer service to clients and potential clients.
I’ve phone their office for a general inquiry, which was abruptly answered for the lack of time to serve me, and within days physically entered their office without an appointment to be frowned upon and un-​invited. While waiting for half-​hour for a «free legal consultation» with an attorney to embark my violate massive storm in my life, I was only attended for five measly minutes of their precious time! My questions were vital as this violate massive storm were the biggest yet life altering experience in my life, which Wilens & Baker PC’s attorneys clearly with their abrupt blunt abrassive rude attitude does not give a hoot about a human being like myself in deep despair!
At my darkest time of my life, only true friends will show their true colors for assistance, as money can only go so far when crying for help. Sadly, Wilens & Baker does not even display an ounce of compassion for my darkest and deep despair because their hearts are empty ice cold. Compassion is the essence of mankind!
