Wink Eyelash, LLC (Wink) is a salon specializing in semi-permanent eyelash extension services. Our principal focus is to deliver quality eyelash extensions in a timely, cost-effective manner. A salon is «a gathering of stimulating people of quality under the roof of an inspiring hostess or host, partly to amuse one another and partly to refine their taste and increase their knowledge through conversation, with the aim of «either to please or to educate». Wink Eyelash LLC, 100% owned and operated by Su T. She manages the day to day business (with support from her advisory board). She has management experience as a freelance consultant and her significant higher education (Masters degree from Pratt Institue NYC) as well as her character and personality traits make her well suited for a services business such as Wink. She relies on her senior eyelash specialist, Gia S. who attended the same Esthetics Institute as Su and has direct industry experience which was instrumental in providing market analysis. Wink has already expanded to 6 specialists in addition to Su and will continue to grow as necessary to meet market demand.

Overall a pleasant experience.
Everyone was friendly from the receptionist to my technician. I got the J curl 13 length with mascara upgrade for $ 80. I wore my contacts during the service and my eye weren’t irritated at all. The whole service took 90 minutes and my lashes came out super long but not as thick as I imagined it will be. Then again, with the length it would probably look a bit much too thick.
I went to the beach the weekend after the service and most of the lashes stayed in place despite strong waves. I am now on week 3, tho some of the lashes start going in weird directions, with a little combing, they still look great.
I will def consider going back.

This is my first time going to wink. I’ve been getting my lashes done for the past year and wasn’t to impress with wink. They did a good job but wasn’t as full or dark thick lashes like other places have done previously. Overall ok job. I wouldn’t recommend if you like the dramatic look. It’s more for clients that are going for the natural look.

This place deserves a solid 5 stars.
I first heard of Wink when I asked a coworker if her gorgeous lashes were real. She mentioned Wink, and I immediately booked myself an appointment. Long story short, I’ve been a loyal customer for the past 3 months. The owner is extremely helpful /meticulous when it comes to making sure you achieve the look you’re going for. Also — I have extremely sensitive eyes that tear almost instantly when pressed/touched. The amount of patience and understanding the technicians have shown has been amazing. I’ve been to other places where the techs are just rushing to get you in and out, with zero concern of your comfort.
I would recommend Wink to anyone! Also, I go to Kathie regularly, and I’ve been to Angie when Kathie was sick — she is just as amazing!

I learned about wink through a promotion that groupon offered. I followed all required steps to redeem the offer and secure an appointment. However, a day before my appointment I was contacted and asked if I could reschedule. How inconvenient! My first thought was to just cancel and request a refund through groupon but I decided against it because I was having my lashes done for a special occasion. But I should have followed my first instinct!
The day of my appointment arrives and I arrive at the location to find that entering the facility was going to be a little difficult because the doorbell was broken. I waited a little while and was able to gain access when a delivery person exited. Once I arrived upstairs at the WINK office doors I spoke with the receptionist. The receptionist briefed me on their process and had me choose the length of the lashes I preferred. Then I waited for quite a long time. Once I was called I was ushered into a brightly lit room full of customer on various tables around the room having their lashes done.
The technician that I had definitely needed additional training. After the process was completed I definitely felt like I could have done better attempting the process on myself. I have had my lashes done in the past but this was definitely my WORST experience. My eyes were sore and red after the process was completed. Also during the installation process the adhesive solution dripped in my eyes and caused them to burn. I had to have the technician stop several times due to irritation and a burning sensation.
I would never return to this place no matter how good the offer because I value my eyes and want to maintain my ability to see. I also must say that I am truly amazed at managements response to some of the earlier reviews. Instead of attacking customers for complaining about poor service wouldn’t it make more sense to try to address some of their very VALID concerns.

I ATTACHED MY GROUPON NOW DO YOU ALL REMEMBER HAHAHA WHAT A JOKE!
JUST NO, I seriously made a Unilocal because of this place.
THE BEST PART. WAIT FOR IT… ATLEAST 5 LASHES CAME OFF THE SAME DAY! THEY WERE ALL GONE BEFORE A WEEK. REALLY? WASTE OF MONEY.
NOW I WILL GO INTO DETAILS:
1. I seriously wanted to LOVE this place because it is so cute and the staff is nice (woohoo nice staff but horrible results). They have a cool texting system for your appointment as well that I appreciated.
2. The lady that started was literally shaking the entire time she was doing it making me SUPER nervous. I thought I was going to get stabbed in the eye the entire time. I did not say anything though as some people can not help their issues.
3. The guy that took over (idk why) then dropped glue in my eye. It burned and I became even more worried I asked what happen and he said «nothing». um HELLO don’t ignore me when I am in pain asking about MY eyes.
4. I didn’t even look like I had lashes on. I got the set for 50 each eye and it was definitely NOT 50 each eye. When asked, no clear answer.
5. Maybe I got them too short (not their fault, but he suggested it obviously a bad suggestion) but either way there was none at the end of my eyes either.
6. The glue smelled like super glue.
7. He got the tape stuck to one of my eyes making it painful to come off.
8. Are you really still reading? I SAID NO!
HORRIBLE. STAY FAR AWAY!

This is an honest review after going to WINK about 3 times to get my eyelashes done. I chose WINK based on reviews and convenience, as the lash studio I was going to forever was in Greenwich Village and out of the way for me at my new workplace.
I got a brand new set put on at WINK and, while it looked perfect, I was skeptical about how quickly the process was done. I was used to spending about 1 hr 15 mins at the lash salon, and this took under an hour. My 2 touch ups at WINK took 45 minutes. I believe the too-quick process led to a poor job. As someone who has had eyelash extensions consistently for about 2 years, I noticed how quickly the lashes fell out. I got my most recent set at WINK before going on a 2.5 week vacation to Thailand, expecting the set to stay for a good part of the trip before getting sparse. Less than 7 days into my trip I was extremely unhappy with the fast rate at which they were falling out.
I had also 2 out of the 3 times purchased an add-on which was supposed to add vitamins to the lashes and some sort of bonding treatment to (I guess) help them last longer… I do not believe this worked at all and was just a waste of my money.
I am not new to eyelash extensions. I know how long I personally can last before being unhappy with my treatment and was always able to push at least 3 – 4 weeks before feeling desperate for a touch up. Overall, while the actual lashes from WINK look nice they are not applied correctly and fall out way too quickly.

My first instalment was with the mascara width, which your technician removed, don’t you keep records of your customers? I could not endure any further manipulation on my lashes the next day, due to irritation. if would like to take this conversation up through email, you have my address to discuss further.

As a Unilocal Elite member (for 7 yrs in a row, so I feel I am credible), I think it is my duty to warn other Unilocalers about my poor experience.
I did not make up the facts below, as I would have willingly written them a glowing review if they so deserved one.
The manager’s poor taste in backlashing my honest review only indicates what kind of person this business is being managed under. BEWARE.

AVOID, *ESPECIALLY* if you are coming in with a Groupon and think you’re in for a «try before you buy» experience.
Basically, they tack on a lot of fees that are not clearly stated in the voucher. For instance:
— They charge you $ 10 – 15 extra if you ask for a «cat eye» shape, which is a standard option at ALL other eyelash salons that I’ve been to (and I have been to several)
— They don’t provide you with a free brush (again, they charge)
— They are pushy about a 20% tip when the experience itself merits more of a 5−8% service tip (based off the retail price)
— They require a $ 40 minimum on credit card charges (UM. So, if you forget to bring cash, you’ll have to make additional service purchases.)
— They use SCOTCH TAPE under your eyes, instead of the moisturizing gel sheets that all other lash salons use. This one is a huge detractor, as it is very painful when they try to take the tape off at the end of your session. (Basically, they’re tugging off your skin which is a huge no-no for an area that is so delicate to begin with.)
— They only apply the minimum 60(?) lashes per eye for a «full set»
— The lash technician took over an hour despite the fact that it was only 60 lashes per eye; I have had technicians more skillfully apply 100 lashes per eye in an hour.
— You are not in for a comfortable/relaxing experience, as there are about 10 beds in the room and no privacy
— Almost all of my extensions have fallen off and it has barely been 2 weeks
— The glue they use is cheap and irritated my eyes for the first 2 days
— They spam you right away about booking a follow-up appointment
They provide much less than a stellar customer experience, so I’m not sure why they are so aggressive about making a profit. The other part of it is that the Groupon voucher is not a «new customer discount» at all as they sneak in so many other service charges. Pretty dishonest — I definitely will not return.

I rarely Unilocal,but this deserves a 1 star review. In regards to customer service, they are on point– very in depth explanations and accommodating.
However, my lashes didn’t look much different from my natural ones and I paid for the mascara upgrade and a mid sized length ($ 120). My appointment was exactly 1 week ago, and all of the lashes are gone. I touched my eye this morning, and 10 lashes came out randomly.
NEVER going back. Don’t waste your money.

EDIT (this business is ridiculous): I was contemplating whether I should change my review to 3 stars but that idea was completely squashed when I checked my Unilocal and found a private message and a comment that mocked my experience & review.
The receptionist messaged me and «apologized» about the wrong impression of her I might have had. HOWEVER, threw in a mix of insults like I was ‘unprofessional’ and ‘disrespectful’…What a sincere apology.
As everyone can see from the comment, the owner suggest that I go to the other location that might be ‘cozier’. So I suggest EVERYONE SKIP THIS BUSINESS ALL TOGETHER and go to another place that deserves our patronage.
Groupon has over 30 other eyelash extension businesses that are worth a try!
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a business mock their customers (suggesting that the customer had a bad day) instead of training their ‘exceptional’ staff to be better.
*****Besides the red eye, the consent form did not warn me of the crappy business management and the backlash I would receive because of my honest review… Maybe you should put that in.

It was my first time doing lash extensions and the place was great overall. I got a Groupon for their set of 100 lashes for 50 something (sorry I don’t remember) which wasn’t a bad deal at all. I had no idea which lashes to pick but the ladies in the front were very helpful to me and which I should choose. I already have pretty long lashes and the ones I originally picked out ended being exactly the size of my eyelashes but in the end they made a decision of giving me longer lashes.
Application was nice and easy, I actually ended up falling asleep on the bed. Took about an hour but it is a tedious process so I can understand. The results were great! I was very pleased.
Unfortunately, even though they were beautiful, I have a tendency to rub my eyes a lot so this really isn’t for me. I would love to have them but it’s just not for me. However I definite do recommend them to whomever likes lash extensions.

I must tell you that my experience was nothing like the reviews on Unilocal.
Maybe someone recognized my pic from Unilocal.
Any-who…
First, they were courteous I actually received a text to remind me of my pending appointment.
My very first appointment I arrived 15 minutes past the time I was scheduled to arrive and I take that and I had to reschedule. My bad.
The second appointment the lash technician had an emergency and I had to reschedule again, but I received a courteous phone call and I was okay with that.
When I finally arrived this Saturday I was quickly wisked away to a sirene pink room with wistfully calming music. I was advised based on my natural lashes what style would look best on me, I told my lash tech that I wasn’t trying to look like a run way diva or a drag queen I just wanted to accentuate what I already have and be presentable for my 9 to 5. She made it happen. I have a full set 65 on each lash which I took advantage of with Groupon and I even agreed to the ten dollar upgrade plus a five dollar lash tech fee (I’m not quite sure what that means but I’m okay with it), and a tip. I paid $ 40.00 in addition to the 45.00 Groupon… but I’m cute and happy, so I’m good.
I was not presented with a mandatory gratuity, I had to ask to leave a tip. I did tip accordingly because my lash technician was on fleek (that’s Ebonics for she was professional and witty), and I even scheduled a follow up appointment. Really.

I like the atmosphere where the treatments are provided and the groupon offered is good exposure for them but not so sure of the value. It’s $ 37 for 50 lashes per eye whereas it would be $ 80. They upscale you on the mascara treatment (and rightfully so) but 50 lashes is hardly substantial to look any different than a regular eye, even with the mascara lash (which is $ 90). I’m a bit disappointed especially because Sophia was so kind, very gentle and as thorough as she could be I suppose. I definitely lost a lash as soon as I looked into the mirror to reapply my makeup.
Overall a decent deal for exposure but prepare to spend more if you’re in search of a noticeable lash difference. I would absolutely still wear mascara for these lashes to pop like I had hoped they would. I probably won’t be going back since I know i will have to spend at least $ 100 to obtain a look of long lush lashes and would have to tip on top of it!

There’s the good and there’s the bad.
I bought a Groupon for a full set of 65 lashes (and this was my first time getting eyelash extensions ever)… The staff was super friendly the first time I came around and had a locker waiting. The process was really relaxing and simple. I think I fell asleep at some point. It took about an hour and… my lashes looked va-va-voom! I really enjoyed how it looked and the process itself.
The bad part? Touch-ups are a killer $$. They showed me the price list before I walked out the first time and it was double what I paid for my groupon (I get it, but still… it’s hard to pay double to triple after getting a deal). My plan was to just wait until I need a full set or just until I had a special occasion rolling around, as not to retouch every 3 – 4 weeks because that’s pricey. However, New Year’s was approaching and I decided to try it out one more time. Turned out to be $ 67 plus tip and my eye lashes didn’t look as full as the first time because I opted in for the 80 lashes, which I realized later was TOTAL vs. per eye as they were just replacing bad ones.
Next time I’ll know…
Not a fancy spot but not terrible.
