I love WOW threading studio. The staff is really nice and friendly! Preet takes her time and make sure that I am satisfied! I will only go here not!

I have been going to see Rimpy for 2 yrs for my eyebrows. She is amazing! I can’t say enough good things about her and how wonderful she is. All the staff at WOW are lovely, very nice girls. The facility is clean and comfortable and the prices are amazing. Come for the affordability, stay for the service!

Had the chocolate Brazilian wax with Rani. She was quick and tried to make my wax hurt as little as possible. Thanks Rani!

Preet is very friendly and very professional. The place is nice and clean fast service.

The Wow studio is a very nice and quick place to go in the City, especially if you make a reservation by the phone, as this is a very popular place for walk-​ins. The ladies are very respectful and nice. My last appointment was with Preet– she was very good: fast, pleasant, distracted me with conversations, so I do recommend this place and will be back for sure.

I called to make an appointment and had some questions and Angie said you are «talking too much» considering this would have been my first time there, she didn’t have to be so rude; if she had other customers she could say please hold and I will get back to you. I was very turned off by that comment and lack of customer service skills.

I’ve been coming to Wow for more than a year now. It’s the one place in the city in consistent going to because of the quality of service and prices. It’s not fancy but who needs fancy when they get the job done better at much more expensive places? The ladies are awesome. Go early… There’s often a line. I live down the street so sometimes I pop in during a break from meetings but even mid day they have a wait.

Best Brazilian for cheap price !! Angie is very quick and gentle. No long waiting time. I have been coming here since a year now and I would highly recommend this to everyone.

At first glance the place is clean the staff looks good. I had the Brazilian wax with chocolate wax and the technician was so rough. She was not at all very skilled in customer service, she was very impatient and heavy handed. She kept making uncomfortable side comments about how my Bf will love the results afterwards. She had no patience and didn’t walk me through it or try to relax me. I was sore after and the next day I was swollen and bruised. It looked like she had ripped up a thin layer of my skin because It was red and keep in mind I am dark skin. After a week of applying A&D ointment after every wash, the skin peeled off and then my skin healed. I didn’t like it and my bf didn’t get to enjoy it because when it did heal some of the hairs started to grow back.
And not to mention she had no gloves on
The only thing that was ok about this place was that I was able to get a groupon price without purchasing the actual groupon, and they waited for my friend to go to the bank and get some cash since there was a minimum for cards. I wouldn’t suggest anyone going there if this is your first time. If you have thick skin go it, if you looking for fast cheap go ahead.

You can get a pretty inexpensive no frills wax here for all your lady parts. I recommend making an appointment and looking online for coupons. They get the job done but don’t expect a spa like experience. The grease you up and you leave like one of those hairless cats. I have been here a few times and my only gripe is that they need to be more cognizant on the first come first serve customers to alleviate customer frustration that can lead to bad reviews. This is a no frills threading and waxing salon that gets the job done. I came here for a chocolate Brazilian and was very happy with the results. I forget the name of the woman who did my wax, but she was very good. I’m not gonna lie — waxing is always painful — but it was bearable. It also only took 15 minutes, which was amazing! She says that she does 30ish waxes a day which I believe because she did a great job. The only drawback of this place is that the «room» they wax you in doesn’t have a ceiling. For me, it wasn’t an issue because no one else was in the salon, but if there are other people there, I can see how it could be weird with other people hearing you be waxed. So I would come near opening or closing time when it’s not busy. The prices here also cannot be beat. I had a groupon for my first wax, but for next time, she said she would do it for $ 15. If you’re looking to be pampered, this is not your place, but if you just want a quick wax that looks really good, then come here!

Last year a friend recommended Wow to me for their chocolate wax Brazilians and I have been a regular customer since! I noticed the chocolate wax soothes rather than irritates my skin like other waxes. In addition, I also get eyebrow and other threading done here as well. I have yet to find a place that can compete with their prices and quality of service. They also expanded to the upper level, which goes to show how popular they have become. Highly recommend.

Not worth the results for the amount you’re paying. «Wow» is NO longer a wow. It used to be good but not any more. When they first opened with the owner, Rimpy, things were well. Now, it’s all about the money and no longer the care of customers. AVOID this place!
I had been coming here since they first opened but services for the last 5 months has been horrible & going down hill ever since Jyoti left. I was waiting over 45 mins for Rimpy (even made an appt.) & the ladies would tell me, «she’s coming, she’s walking over». However, after the long wait I gave in and took any lady working. Not one person had any clue on how to thread eyebrows. I gave them a second chance, a month later and after both times, I told myself — NEVER AGAIN!
Save yourself the anger, stress and money and go visit — «Fantastic waxing studio» on East 28^th Street! Ask for JYOTI!!! you will love her service and will not regret~

I went for the first time yesterday and was pleased with the service. Rani was very gentle, friendly and did an excellent job. I will be back in 3 weeks for another chocolate wax.

DONT GO HERE! I will never go back to this place and you should never go either. It was he most painful Brazilian I have ever been thru, I left bleeding on parts of my genitalia, in some places that didn’t have hair to begin with. She left hair, and wax in the hair on some areas leaving me to clean it myself and figure out a way to remove the wax. My skin was swollen and sore, and my underwear stained with blood for days after. I am putting vitamin E oil on my wounds in hopes that they will heal quickly and properly.
The woman who gave me the Brazilian told me it was because my hair was thick however, I’ve never been told that and my hair everywhere else on my body is very fine. Not to mention the majority of the women coming in were Indian and Spanish… I have friends from both backgrounds and it’s always long thick and beautiful.
She never apologized. I will never go back and I will tell anyone and everyone I know not to either. Spend a little extra money and go to someone who cares about your body, well being, and is familiar with the level of customer service that should be granted. This was traumatic and extremely painful.

Definitely not a wax salon. I’ve been getting waxes for 6+ years so I feel pretty confident I know what a good Brazilian entails. So here is all the things wrong with this place:
1. Small cramped room
2. Staff is clearly not trained in waxes (they may be pros at threading eyebrows but waxing is a whole new ball game)
3. She used on stick and 3 strips of paper to do an entire Brazilian wax… need I say more?
4. She poured talc baby powder and oil down my private parts before I knew what was happening (only 2 products they had)
5. She left many hairs but because I was so uncomfortable with the first 4 items plus the blood i saw that I told her to leave them and ran out of there.
6. Went home and cleaned my part with antibacterial wash and bacitracin. Hoping it’ll be less horrific tomorrow.
You get what you pay for.

I got the Brazilian chocolate wax groupon for $ 15.00.
So I’m spoiled from going to the European Wax Center to this place. They only used baby powder and baby oil, and the room was very tiny.
I love European, but they are super expensive and after reading the reviews decided to try this cheap place.
It was super fast! But still painful! Everyone has different pain tolerance, but it hurt me! I was okay because I had got waxed 2 months ago so I wasn’t to hairy.
But the plus is how quick she was! Under 10 mins! Also didn’t show me no love :-(I need love! Don’t just keep ripping my skin off! Sheesh. At Least pat me down, ladies you know what I mean.
But will continue to come here because it is cheap and fast! I wouldn’t recommend coming here for your first Brazilian wax…

Walked in for wax;
People who work here are really sweet but there were only 2 people working and 5 customers waiting so it was a pretty long wait.
Cleanliness level is alright. I see reviews that the aesthetician didn’t use gloves, but they did the multiple times I went there.
In terms of the quality of the wax, um, not very thorough. But still better than NOT waxing since the price is really good relative to other places.

Do you care more about price or quality? Because at $ 15, you will not find a cheaper Brazilian in NYC. However, if you’re like me, you would rather spend a little extra to ensure you don’t get a wax that feels like an uppercut with brass knuckles to the vagina.
THIS WAS THE WORST BRAZILIAN I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. Here’s a few reasons why:
— Homegirl tried not to use gloves on me after waxing numerous people before me. After arguing with her, she finally obliged. WHY DID I EVEN HAVE TO ASK? I’m paying for a wax service; not an involuntary STD. It should be absolutely mandatory wherever you go to wear gloves during this service. It’s a serious health risk and that alone was enough reason for me to never return.
— The aesthitician (who I doubt is even licensed!) was brutal. My wax was three days ago and I’m still sensitive. I had to pause several times during the wax in order to prevent passing out as I literally thought I would faint when she was targeting my sensitive areas.
— Lastly, I’m pretty sure 85% of the people waiting in the waiting area saw my ladyhood. The rooms don’t have doors and the curtain is opened at least 3 – 4 times during your service.
Do yourself a favor and find a better place.

I have ditched all my previous waxing places for this one because a) it’s right by my school and b) with a Groupon you can get full leg and bikini waxes for $ 15 a pop!
These are also the reasons I keep coming back here, but there are cons to this place:
1. There is always a wait, no matter what time of day your appointment is.
2. Because there are always so many people, the service is often rushed and incomplete. Each time I come, I have to double check the just waxed or threaded area. Each time I come, I have to ask whoever worked on me to revise something or cover a missed area. They are not thorough.
2. The waxing rooms are not the cleanest (Nor are they the dirtiest, from my experience, Blush Beauty Spa still holds that crown).
3. As mentioned in previous reviews, one of the women who works there does not apply pressure to soothe the skin after a bikini wax. Ouch!
Since I still come here regardless, I wanted to end this review on a positive note. Here are a few more pros:
c) I’ve come here late a few times and also came on the wrong day once. They always find a way to squeeze me in.
d) The demeanor of the people who work here is pleasant. They’re always chatty and friendly while waxing down yonder.
