I LOVE this place! Stephanie, who was my physical therapist, pretty much saved my life. I injured my ankle and couldn’t walk for months! I stumbled upon Yorkville Physical Therapy & Sports Rehab after reading a Unilocal review that called this place «The Mecca of physical therapy» and I couldn’t agree more. Stephanie and the entire crew were so kind to me and reassuring all the time that I WILL walk again :) They always put a positive spin on things and in addition to the physical help they provided they helped lift my spirits up every time I stepped in there! Also, I was paying out of pocket because my insurance wouldn’t cover that particular facility and Stephanie knew that, so she always gave me EXTRA long sessions (sometimes two hours long) and would let me stay after the session to use the ultra sound machine so that I wouldn’t have to rent one on my own. She truly went above and beyond to help me and I am forever grateful. After about a month and a half I could walk again, my foot was so much stronger and more flexible and I finally starting feeling like myself again. I have no doubt that the therapy was a crucial part of my recovery and that Stephanie helped me get there quicker and easier than I would have on my own (or at another facility for that matter). I hope I never have to get physical therapy again but if I do I would go back there in a heartbeat!

This place is awesome! A huge shout-​out to Matt and Stephanie, who, after six weeks, helped me manage my neck pain related to a back spasm with long-​term tools, tips, and exercises. I have always had back problems and they really targeted the source of all my pain and discomfort and really helped me to address my triggers. I am so grateful for their expertise and customer care.

I had surgery for two trigger fingers and I saw Kerry Bate who’s the hand therapist. Recommended by a friend. She’s very knowledgeable and intuitively knows when to increase difficulty of exercises. Really knows physiology and explains why she’s recommending a particular exercise. Creative use of exercise materials. Also very encouraging/​I strongly recommend her for hand related issues. btw I’ve gone to other pt hand therapists and there is no comparison. She’s the best.

I had such an amazing experience at Yorkville PT. Such a friendly staff who are all very dedicated to the health and satisfaction of their patients. It was so easy to feel comfortable at my sessions from day one. Definitely recommended!

I went to this establishment for several sessions. While the front desk staff are nice, the treatment from my physical therapist was not great. She rarely spoke with me during treatment, and did not provide me a detailed plan explaining long term goals. She often spent time with other patients, and left me alone.
The practice also will tell you that they will see you as late as 6:30pm, but you will find out later that this is not the case.

I fractured my humerus during a fall in the winter of 2013, needless to say it was not humorous!!! I decided on surgery and began physical therapy with Diana. Let me begin by saying that no words can express in one review the amount of gratitude I feel to Diana.
I wholeheartedly believe that if it weren’t for Diana’s knowledge, dedication and patience with me, my recovery would not have been as successful. I was in a lot of pain and full of self-​doubt when I first started. I had lots of questions and concerns, Diana patiently educated and guided me through the process.
Diana persistently worked on each and every movement with me until the motion and strength returned in my arm. It took a lot of hard work but I am now able to do all the things I used to do before the accident. I still have a few weeks left in PT but my doctor has already said that my motion is in the top percentile. I even started swimming and hiking!
I could not have done it without Diana, I will be forever thankful to her for improving the quality of the rest of my life and helping me make a full recovery.

My physical therapist is Diana. She is thorough, knowledgeable, and most of all patient. I am having problems with my feet and ankles. I appreciate her attention and work.

I started physical therapy at Yorkville PT in 2011 after having surgery on my cervical spine. I had severe torticollis (my neck was literally stuck, turned to the right) and was unable to move or lift my left arm from the nerve damage the bulging disc had caused. I had been going to another pt for a few months, but hadn’t seen any results, so at the recommendation of my husband (also a patient of Stephanie’s) I decided to give Yorkville a try.
Words cannot express how positive, pleasant and helpful each appointment was. The staff is wonderful, everyone is so helpful and friendly. But the superstar of Yorkville is Stephanie (DPT) — she is incredible. She’s brilliant, caring and patient, but she also knows how to push you without being insensitive to your physical limitations. Not once did I feel rushed or overlooked, and the personal attention and advice Stephanie gives is invaluable.
I will be eternally grateful to Stephanie and the entire staff at Yorkville for all of their help and support during one of the worst and most difficult times of my life.
To entrust your physical health and recovery to anyone but the best would be foolish — and Yorkville Physical Therapy is simply THE best there is.

I have been having back trouble for two years and recently started seeing Stephanie at Yorkville PT. I was immediately comforted by her knowledge and kindness which is hard to find these days in a world where patients are pushed through like a revolving door. I never felt rushed through our sessions, she helped me understand what each exercise would do to strengthen my problem areas, answered all of my questions, and I soon found myself looking forward to going to physical therapy!
Stephanie worked on my back with massage and I never felt more relaxed and secure in the fact that she knew exactly what she was doing so as not to cause further injury to my problematic discs.
Stephanie and the rest of the Yorkville PT staff are all warm, kindhearted, fun, smart individuals that are the best at what they do. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for my PT needs and I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone I know in the area that needs PT. I just sent my co-​worker there a few weeks ago and he has raved about how wonderful they are and how great his progression has been since going to Yorkville PT.
So call them, set up an appointment and start on the road to recovery!

In my opinion this is the Ritz Carlton of physical therapy and Tracy Lawall (DPT) is a genius!
I came after suffering for five months with serious piriformus syndrome. I had been to another physical therapy facility owned by the MD I was seeing so I had a true basis of comparison.
Let’s start with «hello» — which is always with a smile and sense of recognition that can make someone in pain feel just a little better. Enter into a large gym-​like space where the lights are low, the music is soothing.
Let’s talk about how Tracy’s therapy is completely hands-​on and geared not just toward feeling better but toward feeling strong and healthy. Her elbow knows my tushie muscles intimately! She takes a real interest in me as a person and has been a true comfort when my pain is bad and cheerleader as I continue to heal.
At Yorkville Pt is an HOUR (not the usual ½ hour) and includes strength training on the wide variety of equipment. And, although Tracy often is working on another patient while I’m doing my exercises, she always has a watchful eye on me to make sure my form is correct.
PT always ends with ice and stimulation, sometimes even going over the allotted hour.
I just can’t say enough about this place and about Tracy Lawall. I hope you never need it, but if you do, this place really does it right.

I’ve had two stints now at Yorkville PT now, once for a bulged disc in my lower back and once for tendinitis in the leg. Both times have been great experiences. The staff is very knowledgable, patient and have great engergy; they create a fun and friendly environment. This most recent time there I worked with Jim. I felt as though he was truly invested in my well being and getting me back into running shape — even calling to check-​in on me after I had ended my therapy. Both he, and Naline (the recep/​office admin) were very flexible and worked me to accommodate my schedule as well as help out with some insurance issues. Even the main office staff was extremely friendly in dealing with billing issues. Hopefully I won’t need therapy again, but if I do I’ll definitely return here.

I went here for OT on my hand after a referral from my doctor.
I’ve been to a number of other OT/​PT facilities throughout NYC over the years.
This place has it done right. The place feels like a exclusive gym, the environment is friendly and best of all the focus on improvement and my specific condition was amazing.
I’d recommend this place and the OT Kerry very highly.

I’ve take two rooftop yoga classes here with Robyn. The classes are small (max 8 people) which means lots of individual attention — great for a beginner like me! Robyn is an amazing instructor — she really made me feel comfortable even when I was unable to do certain poses.
Best part — the classes are only $ 10 which is a bargain compared to other nearby studios.

I recently went through about 5 months of PT at Yorkville and it was great. Jim and the PT Aides are extremely bright, friendly, and attentive. They’ve created a very welcoming and fun atmosphere (which made going in for 8am sessions not so bad) while remaining really professional and accomplishing our goals. You can really tell that they’re all excited about what they do and, unlike a lot of other medical professionals, take the time to help you understand your injury.
The office staff is great too. Appointments always happened on time and they took the time to help me with insurance and administrative side of things.
It’s a great atmosphere to recover in!
