Yoshi Wine & Liquor

Small store, but seems to have a decent selection of different Chinese liquors. Prices are decently cheap!

I really like this place… Whenever I’m in Chinatown, I usually stop in, whether or not I actually buy something — although I usually do… It’s just so damn hard to say no to a beautiful bottle of Shochu for $ 15, whereas it’s $ 26 elsewhere… Also, for those with lots of shelf and/​or counter space, they have lots of great cheap gift sets.

Whenever I pass a liquor store, I stop in (time permitting). This is not to feed my uncontrollable need for booze. No, seriously, it’s not.
Rather, I am hoping to stumble upon that one magical place that is somehow insulated from the rest of the city, and doesn’t realize that they are selling booze at massive discounts. You might be scoffing at me. I get scoffed at a lot.
But when I discover this paradise, where the beer flows like wine and they are basically giving bottles of booze away at half-​price, who will be doing the scoffing then? Probably still you; but then again, there is a long list of geniuses who weren’t appreciated in their own time.
This is not the Never Never Land of Liquor. All the prices seem to be on the slightly low side of average. I can’t speak on the help, because I didn’t require any to walk around the small store (I’ve been walking for some time now). However, I got a nice smile from the owner as I bought a small bottle to feed my uncontrollable need for booze.
