Young’s Valet Cleaners

Young’s was my regular dry cleaner for the last 5 years. They generally do a good job on my husband’s and my shirts, blouses, and pants. If something doesn’t come out right, they’ll re-​do it for free. I’ve also had tailoring done there. They’ve messed up the tailoring once or twice and re-​done it for free. The woman who works behind the counter is friendly and pleasant. They always have your stuff ready on time. I am surprised by the poor reviews.

I diagree with the other two reviews here. I have never had a problem with Young’s. They are always professional and courteous. I”ve had dresses tailored, sweaters shaved, holes repaired, blazers dry cleaned and take my laundry there weekly. Sometimes it takes more than 1 day to get my stuff back, but they deliver right to my doormen. I’m as pleased as can be with this place.

I seriously live in the building above this place and I now take my stuff elsewhere. It’s worth mentioning that I’m extremely lazy and gave this place THREE attempts to get it right.
The first time, I had a pressed shirt with a stain on the placket and a sweater with dirt on the cuffs cleaned. The lady was quite nice and marked the stains with special little stickers. They both came back with the same stains on there, and the shirt wasn’t pressed. The second time a skirt came back with a second, new stain on it (ew). And the third — and final, I promise — time, a cocktail dress with a wine stain on it came back with the stain now smeared everywhere and the fabric warped, and a cotton dress that had dirt around the shoulder seams still had the same dirt.
Whatever. There is no way this place is a dry cleaners. I’m pretty sure they just put your clothes in plastic and give them back. Oh, and they charged me extra to deliver it to my building — also known as THE SAME BUILDING.

assholes. there was a misunderstanding about payment between my roommate and one of the main guys who works there… he completely lost it like a psycho. seriously, quite a traumatic experience for my roomie.
there are literally 3 other dry cleaners on the same block. avoid this place please.
