The prices are good as well as the selection. The train is a block away so if your in a rush to get somewhere it’ll only take a few seconds to stop in. And they don’t sell beer so i don’t know wat the other reviewer is talking about. The prices are fair which means they make alot of money so robbery is always going to be an issue thus the bullet proof glass is needed. They are also very strict when it comes to Id.

I have never been to a liquor store like this one. When you enter, you are surrounded by three walls of transparent, bulletproof glass behind which can be found a selection of low priced wines and spirits. The prices are among the lowest you will find in the city, but the ambience is a tad off-putting. Payment is conducted through a lazy susan, and $ 10 is the minimum amount needed to use a credit card. They are located right in front of a subway stop, and their neon sign can be seen from a distance. They seem to be open all the time, 7 days a week. If you can get past the stark, cold feel to the place, you will save a bit of money for the effort.

This was basically my introduction to NYC after getting off a plane and taking a cab straight to a friend’s house for Thanksgiving dinner. I think it really reflects the neighborhood with its bulletproof glass, bulletproof lazy susans, and bulletproof clientele. The booze selection is appropriate, with more Colt 40’s and Nighttrain-type selections than anything else. Meh New York. Meh.

I come here so much the staff remembers what I want when I arrive. should I be embarrassed about this? hehehe Well, this is my one stop shop for all my alcoholic beverage needs. I even get wine recommendations from one of the owners and hey, they are even pet friendly! Can’t beat that! Prices are super low, probably the lowest in the city and they have a surprisingly large wine and champagne selection. Yes, it’s a bit hood, I mean it is in East Harlem so you have to talk to the attendant through a bulletproof window and tell him what you want hahaha That’s right. I know that is just hardcore, BUT you can’t beat the price and their hours! They are open until midnight every night except Sunday where they are open until 9pm. They also take all major credit cards($ 10 minimum) and keep the white wines and zinfandels in the fridge as well as the champagnes. So, if need to pick up a huge bottle of ANYTHING of an alcoholic nature for a very low price, go here! They’ve got just about everything and in at least 3 different sizes :)
