Z Deli Pizzeria

This market/​deli/​pizzeria was right across the street from my hotel so you know I had to check it out. While the pizza was good, it wasn’t really anything spectacular but they made up for it by packing the small space with what seemed like the same amount of stuff and variety that a full size grocery store would have. They even had a little cell phone charging station built out of an old pay phone! The staff seemed to know a lot of the people that walked in the door although they treated everyone with the same friendliness and respect.

The delivery took about 75 minutes. Food was very good, but don’t like waiting that long for lunch. Wish they mentioned something about how long it would take in their description on
. Not sure if I’d order from there again or not, but the garlic bread with awesome.

Disgusting. Don’t eat here. Ordered a breakfast sandwich on a toasted bagel. Bagel was stale, soggy and chewy (it’s NYC but they can’t even do a bagel??), the bacon tasted old and as if had been cooked on a dirty grill, yesterday. Couldn’t even eat it. Had to buy another breakfast elsewhere. And counter help is rude.

Absolutely Amazing! Everyone there is friendly, food is wicked awesome, and you can’t beat the price especially for NYC…

Great pizza place, one of my favorite in the neighborhood. Come here very often, always happy with the service, and the pizza. You get one of the best slices here, this place was recommended by a friend long time ago, not always my number one stop when I am craving pizza. The slices always freshly made, taste great, I’ll very fairly priced, and the customer service is really good here. I keep coming back here, can get enough of them.

You always need a good deli spot for a bacon (halal) egg and cheese on a toasted roll in the morning while en route to the office. The breakfast combo comes with a hot tea or coffee for just $ 4. Works for me.

Stayed at Hilton Garden Inn across the street again… what can I say, the Cheese Pizza is $ 1.00 a slice. for a buck it’s pretty good. friendly people work there as well.

There is good service and bad service. At this place, there is a complete lack of service. Genuinely one of the worst places I’ve ever been to in terms of service. Food is ok.

Great late night delivery. Ridiculously cheap for the location. Four garlic knots for a dollar! Pasta smothered in fresh mozzarella with meatballs for 10 bucks. Quick delivery to my hotel. Would definitely order from them again.

Oh my gosh I LOVE this place. Since returning from the Middle East, I get persistent cravings for falafel, mint, pita, and yogurt salad and such, and this place delivers FAST at all hours of the night AND they’re authentic. Extra points for not looking at me funny when I order late-​night baklava 2 nights in a row.

I’ve come in here a number of times both drunk and sober because come on now $one dollar pizza! That was recently upped to $ 2 pizza and that makes me frown. Though, I have to say, the quality is slightly better than 2 bros if you are going for that cheapness. They also make from what I hear a pretty bad ass array of sandwiches and have cookies, granola bars, soft drinks, etc. that every deli has at a pretty affordable price for midtown. But the pizza here for some reason just has a really great taste in its cheese and the dough is slightly thicker so its not that sad and pathetic crunchy wafer that just falls apart in three bites. Yeah, its a real slice and its one of the best $ 1 – 2 slices you’ll find near here.

Whenever I’m in the area I always come to get the same thing: Wrap with smoked salmon, cream cheese and tomatoes. I don’t think it’s on their regular menu and also a bit pricey, but the ingredients always fresh and generous.
I’ve tried to look for salmon wraps in other places but keep coming back here :)

Great place to eat at very reasonable prices. I had a Philly Chicken Cheese Sub that was over flowing with chicken, cheese, onions, lettuce and tomato. I was full with eating only half of the sub. This deli had many choices of sandwiches, pizzas, pastries and groceries. I highly recommend going to this place when you are in the area.

Of the last two trips I’ve made to NYC, I stopped by for a $ 1 slice of cheese pizza. It is the epitome of a NYC pizza with a nice thin crust, lots of cheese and grease. And it’s just $ 1 for a cheese slice!

You can’t beat 99 cent pizza in NYC especially if your balling on a budget like I am. It’s really good pizza. I haven’t tried anything else. And it’s very convenient being that I work around the corner.

Best burger this week! Huge. Fresh. Cheaper than most. Soooooo many fries! Cuban sandwich was fabulous!

I been here plenty of times and had the pizza and their hot food
Pizza: it sucks. Besides plain and pepperoni slices there is nothing great tasting about the rest of the pizza and if you get buffalo chicken pizza… you are asking for heartburn.
Hot food: what would have been a one star review for pizza the hot food makes it up with the fired chicken wings and rice. If you get a large meal you get a can of soda free

Decided to grab some pizza to take back to he hotel. The cheese pizza was delicious and hot! Perfect for our late night craving. Will definitely go back for breakfast or desserts!

This place is great, especially when you’re craving late night pizza. And for $ 1 a slice, you can’t beat it. You also should try the bagel, ham, and cheese sandwich for breakfast. It was really good!
Definitely a place I’d go back to, especially if I was staying across the street again like I was during this trip. Very convenient!

I get sandwiches here all the time. Good heros and sandwiches, and at certain times you get a free can soda! Pretty good value and the bread they use is good… better than the deli on the corner. They also have $.99 pizza… its not as good as 2 bros $ 1 pizza, but it’s decent. I come more for the sandwiches.
