Blue Hen Car Wash

Not a very good result. Bugs residue remained. I told my concerns to the attendant and they just tried to blame the car for a pre-​existing dirt condition. Whatever that is. Just my opinion, but not a good place to do business! Go down the street to Magic Car Wash, you will be happier.

My car wasn’t spotless after being washed, but was good enough and you can’t beat the prices. Being on a college budget, I would definitely go back.

While going through the wash, a part came off my car. The attendant told me that there should have been a sign stating that they are not responsible, but since there was no sign, the part would be fixed. I gave him my number and no one called back. I called the owner and he didn’t return my call. I fixed it myself with $ 3 fasteners. What bothers me the most is I was not called back regarding this. If you value your car, think twice before going here.

I don’t really understand these other reviews. This isn’t a full service car wash and doesn’t claim to be.
I did the $ 11 car wash. They had the $ 8 and $ 15 as well but the mid-​grade was really all I needed. You pay at a machine and are ushered onto the track. Throw your car into neutral and enjoy the ride.
Afterwards you can use the vacuums for free. The hose is long and the air flow isn’t pathetic like some of these other places. I left with a really nice clean car after 15 minutes and $ 11. I’d say this place is a great, fast, convenient place to snag a car wash.

I just had my car washed there and full service was $ 15 which is not much. That’s why you’ve to do all the hard job. The machine is doing cleaning, drying, and polishing of the exterior. YOU have to do the entire work for the interior of the car. YOU have to vacuum, wipe the car interior and exterior body, wipe the windows. I only saw two employees in the entire Blue Hen Car Wash. One is supervising and helping customers, if they need. The other one is operating the washing machine.
I don’t recommend going if you want a real car wash.

Brand new car wash off Kirkwood b/​w 273 & 7. I’ve always used the $ 6 drive thru car wash off Limestone & Kirkwood with a fill up, but this pale is a sweeter deal. For $ 7 you get your basic car wash/​blow dry (most gas stations don’t have that/​air dry), but included is FREE VACUUM. Can’t beat it. Don’t know how many times I’ve had to rummage for quarters only to run out of time when I’m ¾ way through. Only reason I’m not doing a ⁵⁄₅ stars is you have to pay $ 1-​$ 2 to get a sham or detailing sponges and then your hands are all nasty. Great car wash place, will be my new spot.

I’ve driven by this place numerous times but today I decided to check it out. It had a sign that got me to come in saying, «Car wash $ 7 and free vacuum.» Instead of a person staying there waiting to take your money, they had an auto payment thing that threw me off for a minute because it was talking about their card program. I thought you had to be a member or something to use the wash. But there was a friendly employee who saw me having trouble and he came over to my car. He explained they had a card program where you pay a flat rate for unlimited washes per month. He gave me a little brochure an told me to read it as I was going through the car wash.
I pulled up and they had me align my car on the track. They had a TV type board to the left as you drive in and it tells you what to do; put your car in neutral, take your feet off the gas and hands off the wheel. I read the little brochure about their programs. At the end of the wash, it has a little light on the left that tells you when you are able to drive away. The only thing I didn’t like was at the end, they didn’t have people with towels to dry your car, so I think there were little water droplet spots on my car. Also, with more technology, there are less jobs for people.
The cool thing though, was with your car wash you get a free vacuum. They have a large lot with multiple stations to park next to a vacuum. I was able to vacuum my entire car. Also, I noticed there were other vacuums on the other side of the lot, that I think you have you pay for. Maybe they are higher powered or something, I need to look into it.
They are one of the cheaper washes in the area, PLUS a free unlimited vacuum? Yes, I will be back.
